Patty nods to Michael when he asks for confirmation, "That's right. And when it comes to picking new party members, you can have a look through my book here and pick anyone you like. All our members have a room somewhere in the wings of the Inn, and once you pick someone, I just give 'em a shout and you meet them right here at the counter." she says with a smile.

A girl in a red dress and a blue bonnet steps closer to Ileana as she mentions fish and wondering what she had to do to take the job, "Oh, were you wanting to take the Duneberry quest, Ma'am?... That must mean you're an adventurer, right?... Um... S-sorry to sneak up on you like this... But could I ask for a favor?... You see, my husband has fallen ill, and I really need an herb known as a Strong Antidote to make him better... I hear they're easy to make with a Medicinal Herb and an Antidotal Herb in an Alchemy Pot... But I don't have access to any of those things... I think the basic herbs grow near Angel Falls, so... There's that part of the mystery solved... I promise I'll make it worth your while... Would you help me out? Please, Ma'am?" the woman asks Ileana worriedly.

Erinn blinks as Cybele comes up and asks for a room, "Oh! Of course Miss." she says as she gives a quick look into her log book, "Ah, room 206 is open in the upstairs East wing. Would that be to your liking?" she asks with a soft smile.
"Hmm, sounds like a fascinating process indeed..." Micheal mused with a teasing coo to his tone. "How about this? I would love to take a look at your lineup now, if it's possible. If not, then I suppose I have no choice but to linger in one of your lovely suites for a while... If the rooms are as delightful as your staff, then I shall sleep well tonight." In truth, Micheal was more than happy to take the latter option. He was full, he was satisfied with the decent amounts of eye candy here, and he was more than ready to retire for the night. But if there was a lineup available at this late hour, then he couldn't say no to any potential subordinates.
The young woman stands there looking over the board and a woman comes up and startles her. With a startled yelp, Ileana would turn towards the voice who approached her. The girl talks and Ileana listens but she doesn't understand why the girl is asking her for a favor to help her husband. Ileana would look the woman over and then down to Blip. She looks at the girl who is married and tilts her head.

"Does this mean you are asking me to escort you to go get the herbs or are you asking me to go out and get them for you?"

A look up at the sky as she'd try to estimate what time of day it is while waiting on the answer from the girl in the mismatched outfit.
While maintaining her focus on the woman behind the counter, Cybele shifts her weight from one foot to the other and rests her hands on the counter. A room is rattled off and it's asked if this is acceptable. What point is there in asking for another room. Is there something wrong with the East Wing? A shrug and a roll of the shoulders and then she'd nod her head.

"I have no preference as to a room number or it's location other than it not be overly damp."
Patty nods her head, "You're welcome to browse if you like, but I can't call anyone up until morning, cause most of our guests are sound asleep. First thing in the morning though, you can step up to my counter and I'll call them up." she says with a smile. The subtle hint was there that Michael would do better to wait til morning, but there was no issue with preparing in advance.

The woman brings her hands up and cups them together in front of her heart, "Oh, no no... I couldn't leave the town... If I do there's a chance my poor husband might die before I make it back... Or worse I could get ambushed by monsters and never make it back... Please won't you find the herbs for me and bring the Strong Antidote back to me here in town?" the woman begs as she looks to Ileana with tears in her eyes.

Erinn blinks in surprise with what Cybele said, "Um... I beg your pardon, Ma'am, but while I do make sure the floors are moped and well kept, I must justify that the rooms aren't damp at all. I was merely asking if the second floor was ok because some people like the ground floor rooms because they're easier to get to, and others like the third floor rooms because they can enjoy the view of Stornway from their window... If you're happy with the first vacant room in my log book, then I'm happy for you and wish you a wonderful stay and a good rest." Erinn says politely and with a soft smile, handing Cybele the room key in exchange for the coins.
"Of course, of course," Micheal assured the woman with a lavish wave of his hand before crossing his arms against the counter, "Then if you would be so kind, I would love to take my lodgings here for the night. Whichever is your finest room, I'd be more than happy to take and pay for in advance." He seemed to be a real big talker, but the fact that he had yet to pay for his meal may well call his bluff.

Or maybe not, as he spoke up again. "And of course, the funds for the fulfilling meal that I've had prior will swiftly be handled as well." And a pretty coin given to the barmaid as well. Darling thing she is, I wonder what it would take to-

As his lewd mind took to its dirty work, a loud crash could be heard outside accompanied by an echoing shout. "And that'd be the last I speak of it to ye, ye dammed welcher! Now go n' find what I'm lookin' fer, or ye won't be seein' a damn cent from me!" The voice was feminine, but gruff and none too kind-sounding... Yet the person who dragged themselves into the Rest was a woman who wore a similar garb to the barmaidens, if not a bit more lavishly designed. Her hair was pinned in brilliant bronze curls, some of them falling in front of her ruddied face in a carefree, unkempt manner. If not for her current demeanor and tone, as well as the dirt-tinged stains on the hem of her dress, she would've seemed quite comely to the right eye. Her green eyes scanned the area to face the customers looking at her abrupt arrival and scoffed. "What?! Ain't never seen a proper lady be brought down ta earth before?" She snapped, "Move on, ya wretches, there ain't nothin' ta see here!"

Micheal quickly turned his attention back to Patty, his eyes a bit more stern by what just transpired despite the cheeky smile that remained on his face. "So uhm, as I was saying... I'll gladly take a room here, and pay in advance. Posthaste, if you will." He seemed to have shifted from flirty to a bit more serious, if not plain guarded as the woman took a seat and called for a waiter to tend to her table. Did he know her?
Tanned form standing still and listening to the woman before her, the green haired woman would tilt her head, concerned for the poor woman's plight. The first thought to come running through her mind is, of course, the question of what makes this stranger think that the very lost Ileana could find the stuff faster than the woman and get it to her in time to save the ailing husband. Following that thought is the memory of picking all those flowers as she'd wandered around picking up pretty things and stuffing them in her bag. A laugh and a grin would light up her face and she nods.

"What does the flower look like? I might have it in my bag!"

She'd question the woman eagerly as she'd drop to her knees and pull her pack from her back. She fiddles with one of the many different pouches or wooden boxes strapped and fastened to the bag; this one has some sticks and stems of plants sticking out of the top of the nice little leather pouch, the drawstring has a stone with a faded and chipped flower painted on it. Excitedly the sun-kissed woman would open the pouch and begin pulling out different plants, roots, flowers, and such that can be used in herbal concoctions. Ileana doesn't care what they are good for if it's a useful plant she will like to collect bits and pieces; she can always sell what she doesn't use. Looking at the woman to the pile of plant gatherings she'd hold up different things and ask the woman if they were what she was looking for. It's not long before they discover that yes, she has indeed gathered enough on her way to the town and inn to help the woman out. Sweet! Laziness for the win! Okay, now what?

"Okay, now what?"
Visibly raises a brow in question as she's blinked at in surprise and then answered in what comes across as an insulted tone of voice at Cybele's lack of preference for a room other than it not be damp. Had she said something rude? Bah, no matter to it if she is insulted, she's just an inn hostess and not someone the hermit will have to deal with for long. She overhears Peacock talking to *ahem, clears throat* as he requests a room and croons as his silent nickname would suggest, this man is quite amusing. As her key is being handed to her and the insulted woman turns back to smiling there appears to be a sudden commotion and Peacock changes into Mistah Peacock the stern and serious bird. How rude to be so snappy to the lady he was just trying to get in her pants over. This whole scene has distracted the hermit from taking the key that had until she'd snapped back to the process at hand, been just sitting there. Ah yes, there we go. Her attention returns to the woman in the gravity-defying dress and the key. Fingers carefully claim the lock opening device and a nod before she's headed in the direction of the room for sleeping and resting and stuff.

"Thank you."
Patty blinks in surprise at Michaels request, "Oh my, are you asking for one of our luxury suites, Michael? I'll be happy to accom-" she says before the woman in the half tattered dress comes barging in. First her tone and then Michael changing gears, clearly distressed by the womans presence, "Take the lift behind the counter. Second door on the right is vacent. Ask the elevator attendant for the key, and dont worry about payment. You can pay in full when you come to call up your party in the morning." Patty says in a stern tone of her own before quickly moving to step away from the counter and approach the woman whom was causing such a scene, "Excuse me, Honey. Can I take your order." Patty asks as she crosses her arms in front of her breasts. Inadvertantly this would make her cleavage become more defined, but Patty didn't care.

While looking through Ileana's goods, the woman gasps joyfully, "By the Almighty, thats it! That's a genuine Strong Antidote! Please, will you trade it to me for my Sage's Elixir?" the woman says quickly, reaching into her bag and producing a crystal bottle of blue liquid. Ileana was getting the better deal, because Sage's Elixir is a rare drink that restores a lot of an allies magic power, something that as a Priestess, Ileana could utilize very well in a dire situation. Would Ileana make the trade though?

Erinn looks to the rambunctious woman that just entered and starts to get nervous, she too snapping back to her senses as Cybele takes the key, "P-please enjoy your stay!" Erinn calls out quickly and happily as Cybele heads up the stairs to her room. Erinn was then able to give her attention whole heartedly to this new woman, watching as Patty confronts her and getting ready to step in and help if needed. It almost seemed the woman was about to cause another 'Davey' event, which really, Erinn was not looking forward to.
"Thank you, miss." A simple nod from Michael was given soon after as he swiftly made his leave upstairs for the night, glancing by every so often towards the tables and the irate woman as he made his way towards the lift.

In the meanwhile, the person in question gave one uncaring glance at the busty waitress and blew a strand of hair out of her eye. ""Bout dammed time! An' the name's not 'Honey.' Ya'd do right best ta remember that 'round me," she snipped with a haughty air before making her order quick, being none too ladylike as she leans back against her chair while shaking one of her crossed legs.

"Whatever's hard and booze-filled s'all I need. Ain't got time for nuttin' much else. I'm lookin' fer someone, tch, important, ya see." A quiet snarl rested on her face as she linked her arms across her bosom, talking to herself and not paying much attention to the unnerved customers. "What good's a man nowadays, running from a right fine lady like myself!? Got no time fer it, but he has sumthin' that belongs to me..." Something that belongs to her? Was it best to even broach the subject further? She seemed impatient yet desperate, as if she had a short amount of time to find what she was looking for.
Ileana looks up at the strange woman and shrugs. She had planned on just letting the lady take the bits if they were already gathered but if she want's to trade the green haired woman isn't going to turn her down. Thus would the small woman gain a sage's elixir.

"You have a deal nice lady. I hope your husband feels better soon."

A grin and the green haired woman would nuzzle little Blip and kiss it's 'cheek while stuffing all the stuff back into her bag.

"Well, I guess we should look for a nice tree to sleep in for the night."
Not caring to look back or pay attention to the noisy bossy lady, the hermit goes to her room, locks her door and goes to sleep. Don't intrude into her room or something might happen.
Patty glared sternly at the woman, "Right... This person you're looking for have a name? And for that matter do you? Let's try introductions one more time, shall we?... My name's Patty. I own this establishment and run the Party Planning corner at the end of the front counter. You want a drink of something tall and strong? I'll give you a bottle of Sainted Soma on the house if you'll save that Tension for the battlefield... Long story short, 'Honey', you wanna stay in my Inn, you'll stop unnerving my other guests. I'm not trying to threaten you or seem unwelcoming in any way, but I am telling you to cool your Lava Lumps before you bust a blood vessel." Patty says in a serious tone.

Outside, the woman happily trades items with Ileana, holding the Strong Antidote close to her heart, "Thank you, miss... Thank you so much. I'm going home to give this to my husband right now." she says happily before taking the herb and jogging away quickly. Something blue would also glisten momentarily before Ileana's eye, appearing right where the lady had been standing with the herb. But just as quickly as it had appeared, it was gone.
"Excuse you, you ragamuffin of a foul mouthed waitress?! I'll have you know-" And just before things could escalate any further, another figure ran into the room, approaching the woman with due haste. With the formal wear of a coachman and the shaky jitter of a wary youth, he stopped in his tracks before speaking to her with a bow.

"Lady Nicolette! My apologies for the disturbance, but I have important news..." The news in question was but a gentle whisper into the woman's ear as he mouthed something close to her head. Whatever it was, it stood her up, the chair falling over carelessly in the process. "You found th' Gemstone's wares-abouts?!" She cried out in a tense glee, gripping onto the collar of the poor coachman and shaking him wildly. "Where?! Show me!"

"My lady, calm yourself!" he stammered, trying to hold his tone steady, "The thief in question was spotted near the shops, but that's all we have to go on."

"Then we start there! I dun' care if it takes us all night! We find that gem, and th' right lowdown thief that stole it from me!" Letting the servant go, she muttered as an aside, "He'll pay for my family's downfall! In marriage or on a platt'r o' Stornway Silv'r, I will 'ave that elf's hand in return for this!"

Turning to Patty with a small raise of her eyebrow, her words were frank. "But what nerve you have, talkin' to a noble of my caliber. But I won't be back. I've more important deals at hand than messin' wit' a triflin' bar wench and her miserable shed of a hotel!" Without another word, she began to storm out with a stuck-up sense of self-satisfaction. If nothing else was said to her, the bar would return to a somewhat peaceful state as the sound of horses' hooves and the creaky wheels of a carriage clattered away down the paveway. What was that all about?
In the meanwhile, Micheal had already reached the luxury floors of the hotel, and was residing in his plush bed with wide awake eyes. As the sound of horses fell into the distance, he let out a long sigh. "Dear gods above..." He whispered in shaken relief. "And all because of a gemstone..."

He thought he had lost her on the way to Stornway, but it seems the noble Nicolette was faster than he gave her credit for. Entertainment at a manor, dancing with fair maidens and lords, then waking up in the possession of a noble family's royal jewel and accusations of thievery tossed at him... The elven male couldn't seem to catch a break, even as he tried giving it back to the irate lady. That only earned him the following statement from downturned lips: Do you think you can walk free from your thievery, elf?! For taking a gemstone of high repute, something of equal worth must be given in recompense! Since you are of some noble blood and thus minor worth to my namesake, your hand in matrimony shall do as but a small start. Unless you wish to give your life to the sword instead? Either way is fine with me!

How was he going to get out of this one? In fact, how the hell was he going to protect his team from her insanity once she finds him again? His team. Right. He didn't have one. Not yet. That was for tomorrow's venture. Until then, the blond haired ranger mulled over his options before drifting off to sleep mid thought.

Tomorrow was going to be a long, long day...
Standing there and staring at the spot she saw something, Ileana can't be sure what she saw and thus would have to glance to Blip who just burbles and moves around on her arm to rest up on her shoulder.

"Well I didn't remember eating magical mushrooms..."

A careful shrug and then the green-haired woman is moving towards a tree and climbing up. Getting settled in is quick enough and then the woman is resting with her head against the trunk.
Cybele has already been in her room and was never bothered by the annoying woman. Having gotten away to the room before Michael made his way up she'd not run into him on her way to the room and as such is settled in her room resting.

What will the next day bring?
Erinn found Nicolette's words quite disheartening, and was rather relieved to see her leave. Meanwhile Patty was fuming, "By the Almighty, that woman is about as noble as the Cowpat on the bottom of her shoe. I really hope that sorry Cannabelle doesn't come back." Patty says angrily.

DQIX_-_Cannibelle.png

"Good riddance to trash like her. Unnerving my customers and saying I've got the attitude problem?" Patty adds in as she lowers her hands, clenches her fists tightly for a moment, then calms herself with a sigh, "Yuck... Hey Erinn? Help me clean up a little could ya? That so called 'noble' tracked Cowpat all over the floor." she calls back to the counter in a much friendlier tone. Erinn snaps out of her worry and nods to Patty, "Of course. Let's get the atmosphere in here back to being clean and upbeat." Erinn says enthusiastically, heading to the closet to fetch a couple of mops and a bucket.

Patty and Erinn work through the night to ensure The Questers Rest is back up to par as quick as possible. Erinn even does some improvements and changes the stone floor to bright Oaken wood, but she doesn't stop there. She then rolls out some beautiful silver and gives the floors a great shiney coat of finish. The walls too get updated with some new wallpaper and finally a finish of beautiful pearl fillings. Erinn was determined to prove Nicolette wrong, so she did everything but bust out the gold trim and red carpets. One thing was for sure though, the guests were in for a huge surprise when they woke up. Because The Quester's Rest was going to be dazzling if Erinn had anything to say about it.

Finally, morning comes.

Up in his room, Sevio wakes and stretches, giving his every bending and moving part a thorough stretch and pop, feeling like he had been sleeping for several months and his joints were CRISPY... Not only that but he felt hungry enough to eat a horse... But, he decided to settle for one of Erinn's Platinum Platter breakfasts. A stack of 5 Pancakes, 3 bacon strips, 2 scrambled eggs, 3 sausage links, a mound of potato hash, and a monster mug of fresh milk. It cost an easy Gleeban Guinea (500 gold coin sell value), but it was worth every last coin.

Sevio comes down the stairs with a smile on his face, geared up and ready to take on the whole world, smiling and waving to everyone in The Quester's Rest, "Good morning everyone." he says happily. Erinn parkours over the counter and runs to him, surprizing him with a hug, "Good morning, Sev. Sorry about that... It's been a long night and I needed that." she says before taking a step back with a gentle blush in her cheeks. Patty was close behind and surprises Sevio with a second hug, planting his face in her cleavage and half smothering him, "Morning Sweetie. Almighty on high last night was stressful. Glad you're awake now. So, what can me and my girls do for you this morning?" she says as she lets Sevio come up for air.

Sevio catches his breath and takes a small step back, "Phew... Actually, I need to talk to Genny. Got another batch of gold to drop off in the bank and... Erinn? If you could fix me a Platinum Platter breakfast, I'd be grateful. I feel like I'm starving..." he says calmly, passing Erinn the Gleeban Guinea as payment. "Anyone ask for me last night, Patty?" he asks curiously.

Patty nods slowly, "Actually, yeah. We had a Ranger come in last night looking for a party. I'm waiting on him to check in right now. You enjoy your breakfast and I'll call you when he starts asking for a party, ok honey?" Patty says with a warm smile. Sevio nods respectfully, "Thanks." he says grarefully. With that, Erinn takes off to the back and Patty returns to her corner of the counter. Meanwhile Sevio situates himself at a table to wait on his food.
At long last, it was morning in Stornway, and Micheal's sleep was surprisingly heavier than usual from the stress of the prior evening. Taking a moment to stretch in his bed and sit up with a groggy moan, he rolled on his hips to sit on the bedside and collect his thoughts. Was it really a wise idea to lead a party out towards adventure with Nicolette this hot on his trail? A short while of silence, and then a guilt-laden sigh. His mind was made up; he had to take off on his own so he can lose his unwanted “admirer.” But first, it was best to head downstairs and see Patty to pay for his room.

The lift ride back to the main lobby was considerably slower than the deep plummet his heart took as he worked up his nerve, but this chase with the angered noble girl was a task he had to handle by himself. Approaching Patty's counter with calm, lithe steps, a gentle frown was set on his face. But as he gave a better look at his surroundings and turned toward the curvy barmaid to catch her attention, he couldn't help but smile. This place was fit for a true royal, and the ambiance was more than enough to make him want to reconsider his choice... If not for the fact that he knows full well what happened last night. It was better to leave now than make this glorious little tavern a new target for Nicolette's fury.
Straightening his stance, he came closer to the counter, hoping that Patty seemed to be in a better mood this morning.

"Good morning, fair maiden," he greeted with his usual flirty tenor. While he talked, his hands busied themselves with fishing out his money wallet and placing a wealthy heap of coins on the counter, “Here you are, my dearie. An extravagant pay for your luxurious room and the home-cooked meal. However...”

He paused to give her a sad, shameful smile. “It is with a heavy heart that I must cancel my humble request for a loyal party. I've had to take a while to do a little thinking, you see, and it's probably better that I move on and continue my solo training for but a while longer. But I shall return! After all...” A dramatic bow was offered to her and Erinn if she was nearby, his head lowered before raising it to meet them both in the eye. “'T'would be a shame to not have a longer look at such beautiful charmers as yourselves. 'T'would be a shame, I say!”

He raised himself up and gave a more humble bow as he said his fond farewell... Perhaps, a bit too fond to the right ear. “But once again, I must show my gratitude for the company of such lovely ladies... And their hospitality! I bid thee farewell, and good luck with your work.”

He took one last lingering look into Patty's eyes, then turned to leave. For the sake of appearances, he kept his head held high on the way out the door, but once it closed behind him and he was a good distance away from the area... He released a breath he didn't know he was holding.

“Pffew. That was a close one, ol' boy... Now how did that moon-touched female find me...?” he mused before he made a move to dash towards the nearest town exit, then having to circle back and leap over the trimmed hedge-bushes because one of Nicolette's guards had spotted him, soon starting a high-speed horse-drawn chase out of Stornway.

Somehow, he would get away after hiding low in the forests near Angel Falls for a while, but he knew this game of cat and mouse wasn't going to be over between him and the bronze-haired lady. Not for a long while. Until then, it was best to travel solo... And onward to his next big mishap of an adventure.
Ileana was up with the sun, stirring along the branch she had stretched out upon. Her eyes open she'd have gotten to watch Michale as he made his way out of the place he'd slumbered the night before. A yawn and she stretches like a cat, balancing on the branch and readying for the day. Her smile in place the green-haired figure would sit up and be treated to the sight of Michael being chased and finishing his hasty departure from town. Laughing as she got to the ground that cheerful voice disturbs her pet, causing it to pop up out of the bag and burble at her grumpily.

"Silly Blip. It's time to get up. The sun is up and that means it's time to do things!"
Cybele wakes up and adjusts her layers. Not a sound does she utter as she stretches and makes her way to the main room. No sign of Peacock but there is *ahem, clears throat* and someone that was not there the night before. The covered woman makes her way towards the door. It seems it is time to continue on her rambling wander.
