He covered his face to block the water coming off of her. "I can be I suppose." He looked at the shell she picked up. "Enjoy collecting them?"
"No." She said simply, "But my little sister does back at home." Her voice was pained with home sickness. "I'll have to send her these they are stunning." She held out the shell for him to see and she smiled wide. The shell itself was bright, but it didn't compare the light thay Natalie naturally gave off.
"Never lived by the beach, so I didn't get to shell search that much. But I agree, it does look good." He seem to just notice the light she was giving off. "Is it just me or are you giving off a light."
"No." She lies, while turning away. But it was painfully obvious that that was not the truth. For whatever the reason, the light seemed to follow Natalie, however how was she suppose to responds to a question like that?
Andrew sighed quietly, but didn't press anymore. "So you're little sister likes shells?"
She nods, "My brother too when he's not too busy acting cooler than he actually is."
"Any other siblings?" He turned to look out over the horizon.
"I have five." She says and laughs. "What about you?"
"I don't have any. I was a single child. Just a single rebel child." He laughed a bit.
"A rebel huh?" She says and wrinkles her nose. "Do you have a cause or do you just have a knack for being defiant?" She chuckles.
"I mean, not really. I was just a teen. Kids knew I was different in a way and always tried to single me out. Never worked out for them."
She nods, "Makes sense. I'm not a rebel though, however I don't conform, I do what I think is right and if that means breaking rules than do be it." She chuckles a little, "I think you and my brother would either really hate each other or love each other, you both share the whole 'I'm different and people hate me cause of it' story."
"Well it was also back before I would sing around people. Anybody tends to congregate around music they enjoy, and with a bit of my charm magic it makes the song feel more familiar to them no matter if they heard it or not. I guess what I'm saying is that people tend to not hate me that much anymore."
"Wouldnt you be a little sad if the only reason people liked you was because of a charm that forced them to?"
"Well yeah. But its not a force but a coax. The force part of the charm is making them act to it. I guess you're right in a way. But I enjoy making people happy. And music does that."
She chuckles, "Yes but don't you ever get joy from making someone happy without it?" Natalie looked at him and searched for an answer in his eyes. "Like a girl for example, I could never be in a relationship that was built off of my charmed music."
"I don't enjoy picking up girls that way. Besides the charm only works as long as I'm singing. Not to mention my music doesn't even change their feelings towards me." He sighed.
"I don't believe that." She says simply, crossing her arms. "I can not believe that if you had the ability to make girls fall at your feet just with your voice you wouldn't use it."
"I don't know. Maybe. But for now, I have no such magic charm to do that. So there is no way to be sure." He shrugged.
"Will you sing for me then?" She asked, and their was a bit of excitedness in her tone, but she gave him a look that there was something else behind the question.
