"What can we do to get it back?"
"If we get a local connection i can get through." She said with a shrug. "But, i would need a students device that's connected to their wifi, and to get on that I would need a connection on that device."
"If we did that?" She asked. "However we might, if we did?"
She shrugged. "If the backdoor is still there, we could go through, if not i would have to try and get back in, but if they pulled the external port i'm sure they're probably swabbing their system for my work."
"So basically even if they do go back on and your door is closed, there's a chance we'll still have no idea what we're dealing with?" She asked quietly.
She nodded. "Basically."
"Are we going to try to do that? And if so, who are we going to send?" Logan asked curiously, pulling her glasses off her head and fiddling with them.
"What are your opinions, currently?" She asked looking at all of them. "knowing that even if we try to access the system locally, it could be a brick wall?"
Claire shrugged. "I'm fine to proceed, we might be able to get more activity if i connect through the local network anyway, there's always a chance. And in reality we just need to send someone to plug a drive into the kids laptop. Then we're in, it can be anyone really, unless someone who actually hacks goes, although the drive might be a better approach in the long run."
"If you think we are going to get more and its worth the risk I'm fine with it. I still don't like the idea of attacking without knowledge so this is the best bet in my mind."
"This could just make the situation worse." Lottie added. "It could lead to other consequences."
"What kind of consequences do you think?" Logan asked curiously.
"Further trust issues, possibility of them kidnapping our operative, it could show that we're grasping at straws as well."
"What if.. we want someone kidnapped? Someone who could find a way to gather information from the inside?" She suggested, glancing around at the others.
She shrugged. "Then let's set a trap, it has to be someone who doesn't seem intimidating, and the best time to kidnap someone is when they're alone, at night." She looked around. "Not that I would know......"
"Who do you recommend?" She asked. "I want it to stay within the council if possible."
"Nice plan." Aaron said, looking around.
"Someone with defensive abilities, that doesn't actually do any harm, someone who can't put up much of a fight." She said looking around. "Probably a girl, not to be sexist or anything, but you boys are too beefy to be prime bait."
"I'm not sure that I like where this is going."
"What about you?" Lottie asked looking at Claire.
