Lilliana clapped her hands. "Wow perfect Adrian, A++." She giggled.
"It's not that hard when you can make ice that won't melt." He went back to making some more for him and Lilica.
"Yea, but that's cheating." She chuckled. "We'll get you an old ketchup bottle for batter and you can draw me one."
"What?" He looked rather confused for once.
"Haven't you ever seen people draw with batter on a hot griddle and then fill it in? It looks super cool." She chuckled.
"Yeah, and if I were to do that it wouldn't look like a duck."
"Aww I'm sure it would look something like a duck." She chuckled.
"Doubtful." He came back with a plateful of pancakes for him and Lilica, who started right away.
Lillian are her duck, it was smothered in syrup and butter. "Not bad."
"It's pancakes. It's not that hard."
"You'd be surprised."
"Well it's not that hard when cooking used to be one of the main things you did in your house." He didn't sound to cheerful as he said that but quickly returned to his usual neutral state. Lilica was too busy with her pancakes to notice.
She seemed to nod. "Noted."
"So what's on today's agenda, Lilliana?"
"I'm going to check my machines data and figure out what happened with it." She said with a smile.
"Don't forget classes. If I don't see you there I'll drag you there myself."
"You'll try." She giggled as she set her plate in the sink and ran off to her lab to check her machine.
Adrian sighed and began to clean up. Lilica went off to her room to change out of the clothes she still had on from last night.
Lilliana was in her lab checking the machine. Stop looking at that, you haven't even tried anything new, go ahead see what I can do for you. The voice would say, like a clown trying to lure her into the sewer. "I'm busy right now." She said as she looked through the machines data, a thick fog of shadow would begin to fill the room as it flowed out of Lilliana's nose. It would slowly seep out from under the door to her room.
Lilica came out of her room in her favorite casual wear of a green tee and blue jeans. She was quick to notice the fog coming out of Lilliana's room. I knew something was wrong in this apartment. This isn't natural. Without so much as a sound she unsheathed her dagger and tried to open the door.
