"Uhm.. Okay?"
Kayla appeared in her dress right next to Caitlin. "This better be good." She said with a sigh not even looking at Xero. "Why is he here?"

"I thought you two should meet since ya know, he's super cute and totally interested in me." She giggled batting her eyelashes.
Xero chuckled a little and looked at Kayla. "Hello."
Kayla didn't look at him. "I'm so glad that you're interested in a reaper." She said sarcastically. "Just going to try and manipulate him and parade him around like the rest of us." She said with a sigh. "Do whatever you wish, as long as he doesn't do anything stupid with that soul of yours, I couldn't careless." She said giving him a quick glance and then looking around the space they were in. "And how come you're in your own apartment and the rest of us are crammed in like dogs?"

Caitlin started to chuckle. "Alright, alright, you can leave now." She said with a smirk.
Xero grinned. "I am so glad we're on the same page."
"What if I don't wanna leave?" Kayla asked, sassily popping out her hip.

Caitlin rolled her eyes.
Xero looked out the window and thought to himself.
"Plus I know what you're gonna try and do when I leave, and I don't condone that sort of behavior." She said with a grin.

"Now who's being the brat." She said rolling her eyes.
He remained silent and continued staring out into the window.
She sighed. "Fine, I have my own things to do." She said with a wink before leaving in the same way she came.

Caitlin groaned. "Finally."
"She seems.. Protective. And very sassy."
"Mhmm, a little too sassy sometimes."
"Is there such a thing?" He asked looking back to Caitlin. His eyes seemed to have changed colors.
She nodded. "There is a line where sassy turns into being an annoying pest."
"I think I've seen that line." He spoke calmly suddenly.
She glanced at him. "Are you okay?"
"Yea.." He said looking out the window into the streets again. "See that? The entire street is lit up. Except for one spot in between two street lights." He said pointing at the spot. It was a dark shadowy spot. One could barely see past it.
She looked at it. "Okay?"
"Doesn't that seem odd to you?"
"No, streetlights burn out all the time."
