The forest is an expansive area. In some locations the trees are thicker than in others. The meadow is located nearby. A dirt road about ten feet across runs through it.

(Welp. We've lost shirofluff so....)

Settling himself upon a branch where he could, in theory, rest for a few hours, he began to wonder where it was that Peony had gone off too. Shrugging the thought away he closed his eyes, letting himself slip into sleep.
Mind if I join in here? If not it's ok. But I'll put this in for now if you agree. Saves time:

Katherine had wandered hopelessly in yet another circle in the deep forest.
A couple of kids around her age wanted to show her the human part of town up close. But a simple prank caused her to run off and get lost. She left her phone at home so she couldn't call anyone, and her parents were away so they wouldn't notice she was missing.

She was told stories of Hunters killing "Monsters" for sport from countless people, and this didn't help at all with her current setting. But she needed some sort of help. Or at least someone to take her in until her parents got back and used some sort of magic to find her.

Holding back the urge to give up and cry she called out,"Is anyone there?" what seemed like the hundredth time.

Was this too long? I hope not. :<
Also is it day or night right now?
(It's fine. At the moment it is day time.)

Hearing the voice of the lost one, his eyes snapped open and he sat up fast enough to cause the branch to creak. Still defensive from the day before his first thought was to jump down and run at the voice. However, his better judgement, along with a little nudge from Gabriel, got the best of him. He slid from tree to tree as quietly as he could, headed towards the strange voice. Upon stepping into a branch of a nearby tree he grabbed a twig, snapping it and obviously causing noise.
Ok! Thanks! ^^

The snapping noise broke her.
"Who's there?!" She frantically began looking around for the source of the noise, but couldn't see anything due to panic blinding her.

"Are you a Hunter? Because I can kill you right now if I wanted to! I mean it!"
Obviously she didn't mean it. But hopefully the threat would scare off whatever was there.
Dropping from the branch he grunted as he hit the ground and began walking towards you. "I look like a Hunter to you? Really? Don't go assuming things just because I was sneaking around. I don't know you.....plus you smell different...." His face scrunched slightly as he sniffed the air.
Even though her wish has been answered, both of not running into a human and actually finding someone, she wasn't really expecting an answer.

She stayed stiff in her spot, not turning around. But the only thing she could reply with was, "S-sorry.."
"For what? You're not human, you'vegot nothing to be sorry about. Just think a little before you start calling people names. On that note, my name is Nathaniel. Could you be bothered to tell me yours?"
"Katherine. My name is Katherine. Do you..know where we are..?"

She remained stiff. Even though he wasn't a human, she still had to keep her gaurd up.
"Nope. We're in a forest. All I know." His face showed slight concern as he looked around, trying to figure out their location.
'Well, at least he seems nice', Katherine thought as she began to relax.
"Is it ok if I tag along with you? I just don't want to be here alone when it gets dark.."
"A-alright....if you want. I'm not headed in any particular direction.....do you know which way you live so I can take you there?"
Katherine began to nervously tap her fingers. How would she explain this?

"It's..not really that easy. I'm not from this world..more of different small dimension where other monsters live. There is supposed to be a hidden portal somewhere..but its probably across town now for all I know..all of the forests look the same..."

She began to worry if she was just wasting Nathaniel's time and he might just end up leaving her alone.

She knew she would eventually be found, but she wanted to be with someone while the time passed.
"Ah. So you live inside a Hellmouth. Well that shouldn't be too hard to find. That is, if you want to go back. I don't have to smell to know that something's wrong." His gaze fell on you, with enough intensity to almost feel it.
"We don't really call it that, but yeah. Something like that," Katherine tried to avoid the question by focusing on his first statement, mainly because she didn't really have an answer to give..but Nathaniel's gaze caused her to shift uneasily.
The silence weighing heavily on the two, he moved his gaze away and yawned.
Katherine began to flex her fingers awkwardly. "So if you don't know where we are..why are you..here?"
"I'm here....on my own reasons.....doesn't matter." His voice was slightly defensive and guarded. His body tensed for a moment at the thought of going back.
"Ok then.." Katherine replied, missing his body language.

"Well actually, I don't really want to go home right away..so can you show me around? I mean..if we do find our way out of this forest that is..if I ever find myself in this mess again, I want to at least know what I'm dealing with.."
"Alright....where you wanna go first?" His face used confusion to mask his thoughts and memories.
