Donovan made his way to where his group was. He looked at John and gave him a small bow before looking to see who else was in his group.
Nairn was humming a happy little song, in a great mood. He wondered about his future classmates. Should he keep the side effects of his abilities secret from them? Would he even be able to? And what about his ancestry? Had the biases against them reached this far out into the world? Then his eyes then wandered towards the students gathering around the principal. He already liked the principal, even if he seemed a bit nervous. And the students around him seemed a bit tense too. He stopped worrying then and there. This is a new school. Everyone else had the market cornered on being shy, awkward and silent. Time to change that, he thought, and strode towards his group, smiling and already thinking of a few puns he might be able to use.
John looked up from studying his notes as he noticed his students were beginning to gather. "Welcome." He said with a warm smile. "We're just going to wait a few more minutes until we can get everyone and then we'll be on our way."
Husk nodded. He looked at the other people in his group, he wanted to introduce himself but he wasn't sure how to.
He grinned up at Tsuka with dopey innocence. Finn sat back on his haunches next to the man, ignoring Tsuka's request that he change, and stared up at him, listening attentively, if a bit disrespectfully.
Posey walked off towards the tall man a little bit hesitantly. She saw that other people were walking the same way as her and she nearly stopped, then forced herself to keep on walking. She took a deep breath, then stood rather far from the group, watching everyone else in her group.
Donovan looked around at the people in his group. He nodded at Posey before looking at everyone else.
Nairn smiled. Everyone in his group was there. A dark haired, dark eyed boy, a small timid looking girl who looked a couple years younger than him, and a boy with blue eyes and his hair tied in a ponytail. He smiled at them and asked: "What are your names? And what do you transform into? Oh wait is that supposed to be kept secret or something? I need to know to make puns. I'm Nairn by the way, how are ya?"
Donovan chuckled and held his hand out to him. "I honestly don't care of you guys know what I change into. Names Donovan Shuko, and I transform into a Chinese dragon."
It took John a moment to realize that he had successfully gathered his whole group of students. "That's a good question, Nairn. If we could all go around in a circle and just introduce ourselves with your name, species, and how you came to be at WADB."
Posey saw the dark haired boy nod at her and she blushed, backing away. Her heart was thumping loudly in her chest. There were people everywhere. She heard them talking and looked at them nervously.
Husk looked around, guess I should introduce myself. "My name is Husk Bullock, I transform into a falcon."
"I'm assuming you're... Markal?" Tsuka asked, reading off of a flipbook he'd produced from his pocket. It was an easy assumption, considering he already knew Finn and the other two names on his list were rather feminine. "That means we're only missing Iris and Charna." He glanced over at John's group, already ready to go. "...I suppose we could start introductions while we wait for the others."
Donovan didn't seem to notice her blush, but looked at everyone. "Well, I just introduced myself, so Hi I guess." He said, chuckling.
"Like I said, I'm Nairn. I shift into a stag." He looked at the group and when no one had anything to say about it, he grinned and added: "What, it's not that surprising. No need to look so stag-gered."
Iris silently walked towards Tsuka, as usual, staying in the back of the group. Iris looked warily at the werewolf that was in her group. She had noticed him sticking his nose into people's legs, shoes and under a girl's skirt. Iris cringed and wondered why she had to be stuck with that guy. The other members of her group seemed decent.
Looking around at the distinct lack of reaction, he tried again, still half chuckling from his first pun: "I'm looking forward to antler-ning more about you. But I gotta say I'm a bit nervous! My knees are buck-ling"
Donovan shook his head, face palming himself. "No....Just...No. I'm not sure...Just no."
Posey stared at the blonde haired boy. She didn't really understand what he was laughing about, or the dark haired boy's reaction. Was she supposed to laugh? What exactly had he done that warranted a laugh? She stood there uncomfortably, looking at everyone else in the group.
John checked off each person as they introduced themselves, smiling a little at Nairn's silly puns. "And this just leaves..." he looked down at the paper. "Posey?" He asked, looking up at the quiet girl who had yet to introduce herself.
