Things were a little awkward in the silence that feel as everyone stared at the princess. Eida cleared his throat to continue, breaking his side of the tension as he went to fill in the new commanders.

"The magicians on the wall vary in personal strengths. Several have been identified. Many follow a signature menter, and as such use a long range projectile of concentrated energy manifest as lightning. A few vary from that base and use bolts of fire. I know of one or two that scour the skies on clouds, using that as a lookout post." He looked around to make sure everyone was following with his explanation.

"The monks are a different problem. For some reason, they have trained martial artists that have taken an elemental bend, each one on a different path, and from a distance, until the begin their assault, is extremely difficult to determine their focus. The horsemen are there to distract. If they can disrupt as well, that would fare better, but unless we can get on that wall, the siege equipment and arrows will have to work until the breaches are made. He wasn't trying to shoot down a curious foray into tactics, but there really wasn't much they haven't tried.
Rebekah blanched for just a moment at those words. "Lightning? If that goes off anywhere near us, it'll set everything off. I already have my bags treated for fire, but static is all bad. We need to keep all of that as far away as possible."
Eida looked up impassively. That was definitely something useful to know. "That gives me a better idea of our needs. This whole strike may rely on us at one point at the wall then. If we can't make the first breach, we won't be able to set up a second. I will be with the initial squad then to make sure things go as needed. Warmaster, could you make sure there are pikemen or heavy banners with the cavalry? Something to help draw their attention that wouldn't be beyond their concept of the pride of Temujin? cap it with copper if you can to draw the magic to specific points.

As we travel I'll start on an enchantment for the squadron leaders. Small trinkets to conceal units of five to seven. If we split the strike force through the forest like that, they won't see us from the skies."

That should put some of them at ease. There wasn't much else they needed, they just needed Lord Jin-Sahn's approval for the whole thing and decide how many would be going for the 'siege' assault versus the reserves for the first run at the breach.
This was boring. Standing around and talking about what they would do. Why not do? Jaeda writhed between the various bodies, its long sinuous form surround them all easily. It yawned, rows of curved dagger-like teeth glistening in the gloom it waited in. It tasted each person here, looking for signs of weakness, signs of doubt. Jaeda needed to know where it would show itself first. A ripple of power surged from its core, an emanation of dread filling the room, piercing the core of everyone present. It needed to know who would be ready.

Eida shivered as every hair he had stood on end. Ice ran through his veins as the thing inside tried to make itself known. He closed his eyes and willed it to rest, even for just a moment. Eventually the feeling passed through him ad dissipated, but he was sure that that wasn't directed solely at himself.
Khal Yokatsu, we have each focused on our individual parts for the greater whole, but perhaps we have not been vocal enough regarding the vital importance of the Temujin. It is they who will be pouring through the breach that is made, and it is they, when they sing the tales of this day, they shall tell the glory of the Temujin that were first through the breach and won the battle as they poured innumerable through the breach. No one will care, or even remember how the breach was made. You will have your victory, AND it will be a Temujin victory.
"Wise words from all of your advisors, my Prince. But it is not they who will decide this battle's course. It is your uncle. His six thousand men, and the favor he has within the other houses. It is him you'll need to go along with this, long before you need worry about the sorcerers and the Terrestrial monks. You may count me among your supporters of this strategy. But I will ride alongside Chagatai if you cannot reign him in." Yokatsu said eventually. Chen nodded his head, understandingly. Gaheris knew by now it was not his place to speak out of turn, no matter his thoughts, when a man like Yokatsu spoke.
Jin-Sahn blanched, visibly. He obviously hadn't considered this. Chagatai had not come to the meeting at all. Who truly was the general of this effort? He shook away his doubt quickly, not wishing these men to witness it.
"Get the other houses to agree to my strategy, and we will not need rely on the actions of my uncle, Khal Yokatsu. He only has the power we allow him, he is not the Khal of Khals, nor does he lead the Shining Horde in my father's name. I do." he said sternly. He saw a measure of respect in the Temujin warlord's eye as he bowed and left the room.
Jin-Sahn sighed.
"Callista, I appreciate your insight. Please, feel free to speak up. We warriors may miss something your eyes glean. I will see what the Azuma spies can tell us about our enemies magics, though I fear it will be little of use. Chen, will you speak to father about sending some of the Death Guard? The rest of you are free for the night. I can make arrangements for you within the palace if that will make you more available." he offered.
