The warriors spoke with so much energy on their own exploits, enjoying their company. Eida knew how to fight, but he was not a fighter. Swords and competitions of arms never really sang to him. He let them talk and closed his eyes, letting the world and its essence carry him away as he tried to put together the last pieces of a usable work for the circle. His hands moved in unconscious patterns as the words and symbols came together for what he wanted, all he needed was a focus series that he would be able to give to each of them.

The topic turned to the Princess and Rebekah and their impressions when he came back to the conversation. "The Princess does not have a violent urge in her. As long as the competition had little deadly risk in it, I am sure she would enjoy the time everyone put towards coordinating an event like that. Give her matches of athleticism and artistry, but even then our fields are so varied that there would be decided victors before it even started. We would have to act as the event's champion to beat, or merely host a tournament for the gifted mortals." He knew that in terms of finesse, athleticism, and performances, he was outmatched. There was no doubt where he stood, but that was why he was a voice of reason, because he could see angles that others would simply ignore.
Cion thought on this, but had a hard time focusing on his typical enthusiasm for gallantry. ”I would normally offer to help you with women if you do not know about them but it seems here in Terenuthis things are different. If the princess is not impressed with feats of skill, than what does it take to get the attention of that woman? Does she ever act anything less than proper? It would be nice to see her relax and be fun like Ruby is.”
"Then chase after your fun woman, the Princess has a station to maintain, and a people that constantly scrutinize her. She shares her attention with everyone as a benevolent, caring leader. Rebekah is not held to the standard that the last royal of Terenuthis is, so has the luxury of acting how she wants." He was not sure what Cion's full intentions were, but he was not looking for something meaningful and had to be directed in other ways.
”Pursue Ruby? I do not think she is the type that enjoys being chased after. The Callista is beautiful, distinguished and has power. I would question a man who did not want a woman like that,” he said although it vaguely sounded more like he was trying to convince himself that he wanted the princess. In comparison, Ruby was far easier to be around but that was due to her being a fellow warrior and only recently had he really looked at her as a woman. Still, it seemed like a bad idea. Cion decided a subject shift was in order. ”What about you Eida? I am sure the women in your homeland like the quiet brooding types. How many women are missing you while you are gone?”
Eida exhaled slowly. Cion had no idea about his past or of the way that the Khal had changed things, the question was not insensitive, but ignorant. "The people of the Nahuatl are either subjugated or dead. Even the Warlord Queen I stood beside for years left. I was not blessed with outlandish grace like you, just position and opportunity. I have not had a partner, and the lot I was dealt has me watching passively, for now." Maybe someday in the future would that knife over his head vanish, but until it did, caution was prudent.
Donovan nodded in agreement with Eida. She bares the burden of leadership. She is the crown princess, betrothed to the heir of the Temujin. Court has many eyes, and outside of it every eye looks up to her, just as all the worlds eyes now turn to us as the sun reborn. he thought of each of them, how the world looked on them before and after the change. Deborah and Eida were the most free out of all the Solars. Even Cion, despite running from it had his family pulling on him. His dedicated rebellion a shackle as much as obedience was in many ways. The only way the princess would be free of her fate was if the Khalid was no longer the one to direct it. The obvious truth and unspeakable heresy a lighting on his mind, he steered the conversation to, what he hoped was safer territory, which after all was the point of being here. Such is the luxury of such places like this bath house. A place to let go of such formality, if but for an instant. So surely I was not the only one with friends in his youth hoping to elicit a story from one of the other two.
The red head craned to look over at the sorcerer as his words sunk in. ”Are you telling me that you have never known a woman? Or is it men you are interested in? No wonder you are so sullen all the time. Perhaps you should spend some time with one of these servants, they practically seen to worship us. Unless you have someone specific in mind?”

”The princess is betrothed to someone? Not that it has ever stopped me before, but if she is already in love with someone that would explain her resistance to my charms.” Cion chuckled at himself, he supposed he should have thought of that before he had continually made a fool out of himself. ”I had brothers, so I did not need friends nor enemies. They made my life interesting enough,” he said grinning as he thought about his growing up with two older brothers fondly.
Sullen? Pensive, sure. Quiet, sure, but sullen? "Yes, no, and it does not matter to you. In that order.

She is betrothed, to the son of the Great Khal. It may be that you are just too forward. Your 'charm' is not for everyone."
At least he hoped that was the case.
”So you are saying I should try to be more subtle with her and less forward.” He laughed but he wasn’t entirely sure he was bold enough to try and cross the leader of a nation. Then again he had done some very foolish things in the past and survived. ”It does matter to me, I would like to get to know you and help you out if I can. Even with our new gifts we still need friends. So by you not answering I will assume there is a lady you have in mind. Does she fancy you as well? Because that makes things a lot easier.”
Eida put a hand up to his temples and started rubbing them. If he was vague enough, maybe he could curry favor, learn something, and get Cion off his back all at once.

"I have no idea. I can hope, but there are barriers between us that I have no control over."
"Hope is not enough. Tell me of these barriers that are between you, they cannot be that bad."
It was like Eida spoke for him, though none of the questions were directed at him. He sighed So often, such is life...
Cion looked over to Donovan. "You too? Is Terenuthis full of nothing but troublesome women? Please, you must elaborate on this because now I am curious."
Danny it how could he let that slip?! Worse it had been latched onto. So much for relaxation. No. and with that Donovan got up and left the steam room.
Eida was careful to stay neutral in the sudden departure. He had known about the Knights advances and the frequent lessons that they had together, and was hoping that it was nothing else, but that was not the case apparently.

The door shut with more force than necessary, and he hoped that the women were either gone or too distracted to see the An-Tir sulking off.
"Apparently, yes, it is. Does that episode close our events for today, or are you content to stay for a while yet?" He planned on staying no matter the answer, and settled himself because of that. Either we would find out more about himself and the Warrior, or he would finish his planned project, either way, he would make use of the time.
Cion sighed and leaned back shaking his head. "If that man continues to pen up his emotions, one day he is going to erupt. You would think a handsome man in armor would have no problems with women. Do you think it is Mercy he is attached to? I am content to stay. If I ask you about your lady love again are you going to storm off?"
"I would say no, but I thought I had a better hold on myself before the incident with the cultists. Turns out there are some emotions attached to the changes we went though. I'm fairly certain Mercy is not his interest. Her openness to different makes you a much more likely target for her." He fingered the gold bands he wore on his hands thinking about how he might be able to link each of the others to a stream of consciousness so that he might be able to coordinate them better. Jaeda already proved that there was potential for additional sensory input for him, and his mastery over the unconscious might have more answers. But he would have to come back to that later.

"So what was it, something about barriers you wanted to know? How would knowing that it cannot be helped hope to get you anywhere in my dilemma? Unless you just want to figure out who it could be?"
Cion chuckled, ”I am sure you are not without hope. You are not bad looking, you hold a title and I am sure you have other things going for you. Perhaps an outside view will help you, you will never know. Barriers keep things precious inside, so it has to be worth it right?” The warrior pondered for a moment. ”I want to figure out who it could be? Than means I know the lass. Is she with us?” He asked excitedly. The prospects were intriguing, but he thought he could narrow it down a bit. Perhaps his knowledge of Mercy meant she was the one, or the quiet May seemed like a good type for him. Ruby was beautiful but Cion didn’t think Eida could handle such a wild woman, although that may be one of the barriers he was speaking of. ”Is it Silver? I have to say the tail is very interesting.” The Lunar tended to keep to Ruby, which might indicate a preference for a certain gender and Cion certainly considered that an obstacle.
"I hold title with a dead people and have you and Donovan to compete with in nearly every regard, and that is without the attention of anyone else to consider. I have a station to uphold, and I cannot let my feelings for one distract from my duty. I need to know that what we speak of will reach noone elses ears. Eida looked at his companion intently, willing everything in himself to guarantee that what comes out of Cion's mouth next is nothing but what he means.

Intent
Full read intentions excellency and night caste ability to mute all signs.
Cion was surprised at Eida's sudden seriousness. He was also taken off guard at the sorcerer's willingness to confide in him something that apparently was so important that he was asking him to swear that he wouldn't talk about it. Even as a youth his brothers did not confide in him in such a way, mostly because he was the youngest by many years and even though their relationships were good it wasn't the same. Cion felt a little comradeship with Eida and already knew before he even opened his mouth that he would keep whatever secret he was about to divulge.

”Gealltanas, you have my word that I will not speak of this to anyone, not even Swift Wind. He cannot keep secrets anyway.”
