((this will be divided into a few sections, so as to make it a bit easier to handle))

Sins. Informal.

The Sins all follow the same general procedure. Sacrifice items in exchange for spells, or other boons. Making ridiculous demands, or other actions that tremendously upset them might result in punishment. there are different sized sacrificial rings, able to sacrifice different sizes and different amounts of items, as well as some that permit others to stand in it and have 1 person ask for spells to be granted en-mass.

Sloth
Sloth is a useful neutralizer. Spells that can cancel out other spells, spells to put others or yourself to sleep... The kinds of things sacrificed to Sloth tend to be things like blankets, pillows & objects of a labor saving nature. if one deals with Sloth exclusively for a long enough time, then they can gain a Sloth affinity. this grants them comfort, and restful sleep, plus constant access to low level Sloth Spells, and cheaper higher level spells. They are also able to sacrifice the Dream of a sleeping individual, at a potentially very high value... A person with Sloth affinity might also be able to cast DREAM WORLD with a large enough sacrifice.

PRIDE
Pride is useful for distraction, or attention. Dazzles, amplifications, rallies... Objects of a vain(prideful) nature like pictures of yourself, or 1st place ribbons tend to be good sacrifice options. anything that is some kind of personal merit or achievement really. Pride also offers an easy path to improving your body. 'loose weight fast', 'get ripped in 3 days', 'improve memory'... but its a trap. it is very easy to go overboard and develop a Pride affinity in an alarmingly brief time. A Pride affinity does grant free access to low-mid level Pride spells, but the only sin you can sacrifice to is Pride. you can only hope that a channeler of Envy can help remove your affinity. Unless you like to feel like a KING, and cast spells to make everyone KNOW that you are important.

Greed
Greed is sacrificed money. in exchange, greed credit is earned. this credit can be used in place of other sacrificial objects. Credits can be converted back into cash, but at a slight loss. spells of Luck can also be purchased from Greed. Greed affinity results in discounts from all Sins. Greed also sells sin foci to those who don't want to make them themselves.

Gluttony
Gluttony can have various food items sacrificed, as well as the possibility of offering a part of one's own body weight. But, gluttony tends to punish people who offer up body weight as a means of loosing pounds quick, giving them an incredibly slow metabolism. Healing Spells can be granted by Gluttony, as well as spells for defending others. A Gluttony affinity means that one will always have access to Gluttony spells, but they can run out of energy for them. Eating can help replenish this energy, and possibly increase the maximum stores of energy one can have. Someone who is really good with Gluttony magic can work wonders for healing others and defending themselves, and can become a force to be feared in a battle scenario. ... not that battle is TO likely in your future. its just a nice bit of history.

Wrath
Wrath requires living things to be killed as sacrifice. nearly every spell Wrath grants is incredibly violent, and will not be likely to be taught much at this school, except to warn against the use of Wrath.

Lust
Lust may not be what you expect. Lust operates on a higher definition than most mortals believe. Production is Lust's realm. Cans of soda, industrial tools, packing peanuts... anything Produced on a Mass scale. Lust tends to be very quick to anger when faced with narrow-minded individuals, and gives strict punishment, usually making people more machine-like, and able to produce things other than just humans at a much faster rate. Possible spells for an openminded individual include numerous forms of technomancy, and ways to keep machines in good repair. those with a Lust affinity are granted permanent high level Technomancy. Lust rarely gets good followers, so they treat them well.

Envy
Envy is a 'wildcard' of sorts. numerous objects from all the other sins can be sacrificed to Envy, though in general anything stolen tends to increase the value when sacrificing. Envy has next to no low level spells of their own. they can grant weaker versions of the spells that the other sins can grant, but it will be more expensive than getting the spell from the right sin in the first place. But, if someone develops an affinity for Envy, then numerous High level Spells become available. Stealing away sin spells from others, getting to look like others for some time, even stealing away someone's affinity as an expensive spell.

Major Greek Gods. Formal.

The Greek Gods are a part of a Pantheon. They accept the existence of other Gods, and while some might slightly frown upon praying to other Gods, they are ok if a Priest(ess)/follower Prays to another in a time of need, or to solve a problem that they could not properly solve themselves. One can Follow many Gods, but can only be a Priest(ess) to 1.

Aphrodite
Goddess of Beauty & Love. Her symbols include roses and other flowers, the scallop shell, and the myrtle wreath. Her sacred animals include doves, sparrows, horses, and swans. A shrine, or, a Temple if you are to go that far, should incorporate these Symbols, along with a depiction of Aphrodite herself. As a Follower, Praying to Honor her will improve your standing with her, and possibly Bless you with Love. A Priest(ess) may be able to call upon Aphrodite's power when needed, causing others to Find/fall in Love, or to summon the Presence of Aphrodite...

Apollo
God of The Sun, music, arts, knowledge, healing, plague, prophecy, poetry, and archery. Symbols include, The Sun, Bow and Arrows, Lyre, Raven, Python, Wolf, and Laurel Tree. Following through Honoring them at a shrine or Temple may grant improved health, and clarity. He lacks 'priests', instead having Oracles that have the power to see prophetic visions. His power is stronger during the Day.

Ares
God of War. can be explained further if you ever believe that you may be involved directly in a War.

Artemis
Virgin Goddess of the hunt, The Moon, wilderness, archery, animals, young girls, childbirth, and plague. The deer and the cypress are sacred to her. more Symbols include Bow, arrows, stags, hunting dog and moon. 'True' Followers and Priestesses follow her herself, but a shrine/temple can still be used to honor her. She is related to the moon.

Athena
Goddess of wisdom, intelligence, courage, inspiration, civilization, law and justice, mathematics, strength, Peace, war strategy, the arts, crafts, and skill in ancient Greek religion and mythology. Symbols include Owls, olive trees, snakes, Aegis, Armour, helmets, spears, & Gorgoneion. She is also the patron Goddess of heroic endeavor. Honoring her at a Shrine or a Temple will improve your standing with her, and be a boon to all of her related powers. Athena is one of the few Formal Goddesses I Follow, and I give it my full recommendation.

Demeter
Goddess of grain, agriculture, harvest, growth, civilized order, and nourishment. Symbols include, Cornucopia, wheat, torch, & bread. Praying to Her regularly at a shrine/temple is supposed to grant a bountiful harvest.

Hades
God of the underworld, earthly mineral wealth, and the dead. Symbols include, Cerberus, cornucopia, scepters, Cypress, Narcissus, & keys. His sacred animals include the screech owl. Most other Gods dislike Hades. Regrettable, as He is one of the most Honorable and self-controlling Gods. Followers of His might not live for quite to long, for multiple reasons.

Hephaestus
God of fire, metalworking, and crafts. Symbols are Hammer, Anvil, & Tongs. His sacred animals include the donkey, the guard dog, and the crane. It is wise to design every Forge to host a shrine of his in some way. He respects any and all who can take up the forge and create. Doing it in His honor simply makes things even better. It would take an incredible act of wretched design to upset Him enough to be punished. such as purposefully ruining the work of a fellow Smith... Now may be a good time to note that if you avoid any involvement with the Formals, then they can not punish you for your actions.

Hera
Queen of the gods, and goddess of marriage, women, childbirth, heirs, kings, and empires. Symbols include, Pomegranate, peacock feather, diadem, cow, lily, lotus, cuckoo, panther, scepter, throne, & lion. Sacred animals include, The cow, lion and the peacock. Followers of Greek Formals must be married in Hera's name, else they risk punishment and a poor marriage.

Hermes
God of boundaries, travel, communication, trade, language, and writing. Symbols include, Talaria, caduceus, tortoise, lyre, & rooster. Messengers would often Honor him, for speedy travel, and the hope that their message would be properly understood. He can send messages Himself if you have honored Him enough and have need of His aid.

Hestia
virgin Goddess of the hearth, architecture, the right ordering of domesticity, the family, the home, and the state. Her Symbols are The Hearth & its Fire. any form of burnt offering used to further Honor other gods, also partially Honors Her. The promise of A safe Home to return to.

Poseidon
God of the sea, rivers, floods, droughts, and earthquakes. Symbols include, Trident, fish, dolphin, horse and bull. All boats(made by followers of Greek Gods,) must be made in His Honor if you want His blessing out at Sea.

Zeus
King of the gods, ruler of Mount Olympus, and god of the sky, weather, thunder, lightning, law, order, and justice. Symbols include, Thunderbolt, eagle, bull, and oak. As King of the Gods, any who wish to connect themselves to the Greek Formals must also Honor Him to some degree, else He gets Angry. We have a small Shrine set up just for this. Priest(ess) of His can call upon his power when needed, (like any other God,) including the trademark Thunderbolt.
