Kiro sighed a loud, drawn out sigh; not angry or frustrated, just unsure of what to do. He fully expected that he'd end up stood in a corner or something not knowing what to do... and he wasn't too deterred by the idea of having no lunch... but if Raven wanted him along that badly.
"Fine..." Kiro said, standing up, his tone indifferent. "If it'll make you happy..."

Usually didn't interact with the others all that much besides in the middle of the day when things became busy. Pushing bushy hair from his eyes while stepping into the back and looking around with a small smile before his gaze fell to Linwood. "Gonna start looking around if that's fine." Heading to the drawers and cabinets to open and look through a few of them. Yup some of them are a bit bare. Sighing while moving around in hopes of finding something.
The squirrel glanced about, uncertain of how she could help. That and everything felt so odd after what had happened, and now everyone was okay with each other.
"Umm... I'll go start the fire," she offered and wandered over to the stove. Checking to see if there was enough firewood, she'd place her hand over the logs and focused.
After a few false starts, she'd get a decent fire going and remove her hand from the opening.

Glad to see that everybody was getting along now, Lin headed to the pantry and started checking the supplies. They still had a bit of flour, not much sugar, and a scant array of everything else, along with a few canned fruits, jams, and syrup they'd collected in the fall.
"I know it's not breakfast," Lin spoke up so the group could hear, "but we could make pancakes?" He picked up a jar of blueberries.

"Yay!"
Raven exclaims smiling as she takes his hand and runs with him into the kitchen. She looks around and climbs onto the counter to look inside the pantrys. When Lin mentions pancakes, raven smiles and hops down from the counter.
"Pancakes sound so yummy!"
She says opening the drawer that was underneath the cabinet. She starts rummaging through them and pulls out a skillet so they can cook the pancakes.

Kiro nearly fell over as he was suddenly dragged toward the kitchen, but just about managed to remain standing as he was forced to run. Upon entering the kitchen, Kiro nervously found the most out-of-the-way place to stand and stayed there awkwardly, wringing both hands and feet. Even his tail displayed nervousness, the tip prodding awkwardly against the side of his knee. He had no idea whatsoever what he could do to help.
Pulls down a can of beans to scan it over before replacing it when pancakes are mentioned and turns to face the others with an enthusiastic nod. "Yeah sounds great!" Heading over to one of the drawers and getting a spatula and setting it beside the skillet before heading to Linwood and looking over the ingredients with a smile.
Gim flicked her ears some as she looked about... before going to a corner and watching. She was fairly young and while she had helped with the fire at home, she didn't help with the cooking. Her eyes did dart to Lin expecting him to direct her.
Linwood smiled, seeing that everyone was in agreement. He noticed the oven was lit.
"Thank you Gim, we'll need that," he said. It looked like Raven had claimed the stove top already, so he addressed the other four. Finding a large bowl and wooden stirring spoon, he handed them to Gimbold. "Would you and Kiro mix the batter? I'll get out the ingredients an write down the numbers-- Kiro, you've been practicing your vocabulary, haven't you?" He turned back to the pantry to retrieve the things, starting with setting the bag of flour on the counter.
"Ruth, could you look for other fruits in the pantry?" Lin asked, talking rather unnecessarily loudly as the background noise of him shuffling around ingredients and the fire crackling drowned out his own hearing. He noticed the sugar they had left was rather low, but he supposed since they were using candied fruit it was okay. At least they had their own animals for eggs and milk, he thought.
Lastly, Lin left the room briefly and came back with a slate and piece of chalk from the classroom. He wrote out the names of the ingredients and measurements on the slate and set it on the counter. Some of them were spelled a bit interestingly, but he liked to think he at least had nice handwriting. "Feral, do you want to use the stove with Raven once we're ready for it?"
It was needless to say that Lin's questions were mostly rhetorical, if not for the context then by the fact that he was unlikely hear a response even if one was provided.

Kiro stared at the bowl and spoon given to Gim as though he had just been asking to unboil an egg. Moving closer to the squirrel girl, Kiro muttered to her quietly. "I... I'm bad at this..." he said. "I don-... you just... stick the spoon in and move it around in a circle right...? M-maybe you could do that bit better..." Measuring out the ingredients sounded more like his kind of thing, but... he questioned his tidiness at the job... and his lack of familiarity with kitchen measurement devices...
Heading over to find some fresh water, Kiro washed his hands and - just in case - the end of his tail. He then gave his feet a quick wipe with a wet cloth just in case he had to pick up any dropped item and used the limbs without thinking. The kitchen floor was probably not the cleanest place anyway and anything food-based that was dropped would need washing again regardless, but... it was better to be on the safe side. When he was done, he headed over to the list of measurements to see what he needed to do, hoping that all of the amounts were in values that he knew how to measure - such as number of spoons-full, rather than anything more complicated like weights or volume.

Nods before starting to search the area again and finding a few older strawberries, and apples and even a small bit of cinnamon. Gathering both in his arms and taking them to the pile of ingredients, "found these. Hope they work?" Smiling to Linwood somewhat before heading to the stove fire to warm up a little, unless anything else needed to be done.
Gimbold nodded her head as she got the spoon and bowl, before staring at Kiro when he said he wasn't good. The girl shook her head at him. "You need to stop saying you're bad at things and just start learning how to do them better," she scolded. It was similar to how her mother spoke in that manner.
She started stirring the bowl gently. Although it wasn't perfect. She was a small squirrel. It would be obvious though that she'd need more help eventually as she was using both hands to stir it every unevenly.
