Eight Deities exist within the world of Elisael, and are recognized and worshiped by it's denizens.
"Religion and spirituality plays a fairly strong role in most peoples lives. Most of the sentient beings of the realm at least pay their respects to one or more of the gods, even if they are not strictly devout themselves. It's a bit difficult to be an atheist in a world where the gods are known to actually appear through their Avatars and interact with others."
///STAR MOTHER
She is the creator of all the Gods. While she did not create the universe, or stars themselves, she is made of highly concentrated celestial particles and elements. She is a vortex of 'stardust' that gained sentience and chose to take a humanoid form. She drifted in space for eons, before finding a lonely yellow star. She sculpted the planet, and it's three moons from her own body, and then birthed seven 'children' onto it, which were it's first life forms. She is vast in size, but is capable of appearing as a more reasonably sized 'avatar' of herself. In her natural form she is taller than a towering tree, and her 'flesh' seems to be made of endless spiraling galaxies and celestial bodies on an inky black 'sky' She also seems to be mostly faceless in this form. Her 'hair', is long shimmering strands, like a mixture of comet tails and starlight.
There are some ancient writings that imply Star Mother was one of many 'Children' birthed by a much greater force, and sent out to populate countless worlds.

///Ahara
She is the Goddess of Nature, and although she was not the first Deity to be born into this world, her power is second only to her Mother's. Her influence however is generally considered greater, because she far more often interacts with the world.
She holds dominion over wild places, plants and animals. Ahara is responsible for the creation of many types of wild creatures. Although her dominion is vast and she has a heavy responsibility, she replies on her siblings heavily to aide her. Her true form is that of a massive tortiose with features of many other animals mingled in. Her shell, looks much like a tiny lush island, sporting earth and stone, moss and various trees and plants. She has a humanoid form, taking on the appearance of a full figured greenish-brown skinned woman, with greenery and vines for hair.
She created the Aelfin and all fae and 'fae-like' races of the realm.

///Muovi
He has dominion over all water-bound life, the seas, lakes and rivers. Together with The sky god, they create Rain
Muovi's true form is vaugely humanoid although his facial features are flat and semi 'fish-like' His flesh is blue, and his lower half is that of a whale's tail. He has multiple fins, some jutting from his back, looking almost like a double pair of elegant 'wings' He also has at least part of the time, coral growing out of him, two long pieces of it serve as horns.
He was the creator of the majority of sea life, as well as several races of 'merfolk' These include more classic 'mermaid' types, and fish-folk with scales, webbed fingers and feet.

///Balias
The God of the Sky and Weather, holds dominion over all things relating to Air. He created birds, and with combined power from Muovi, creates and controls the weather. He is a somewhat aloof and distant deity much of the time, detached and seeming almost emotionless, however when roused his anger brings catastrophic events. Gales and potent storms are believed to be his wrath. There are stories of Balias being far more fierce and vengeful in centuries past. Some ancient tomes have records of him smiting those who defied him, or failed to pay their respects with bolts of lightning. It is implied that Star Mother had to reign him in and get him back under control.
He typically appears as a massive pheasant or phoenix-like bird, who's colors are all pale soft shades of grey, cream and light blue. His face, however is flat and more owl-like. He is able to appear more humanoid, but rarely does so. In this form he is covered mostly in feathers, and his hands are somewhat wing-like, and his feet are taloned.

///Light
Little is known about this being, other than that they represent the Sun, Daytime, and Holy Power. Light is genderless, although some sects of Light's worshipers will personify the Deity as one or another. Followers of Light are at times quiet zealous. There is however, another division of Light's worshipers that practice utter pacifism and acceptance, claiming that the holy righteous might ideal, is not what their faceless, formless god is about. Light is most commonly worshiped by the Aelfin and the Lidari. There are stories of Light taking the form of a fair skinned, golden haired Aelfin, although there is little to support these claims. When Light does manifest itself, it tends to be as a vague person shaped form made of pure pale golden energy.
-
///Darkness
Darkness is a Deity shrouded in mystery. As a counterpart to Light, Darkness is also thought to be without a true gender. In it's true form, it is merely a vague person-shaped void of blackness, darker than any shadow. Darkness, despite being a counterpart to the 'Holy' power of Light, is not inherently evil or wicked. It has been known however to be a rather devious being. Darkness, is sometimes worshiped by those who need trickery or to remain 'hidden' such as thieves, spies and assassins.
There is a Temple dedicated to Darkness, which is comprised of monks who meditate on the mysteries of 'The Great Dark' and feel that somewhere within the Mystery is the secret to enlightenment. Darkness, is thought to be the creator of the Dark Aelfin, and Shadow-Touched Fae. However, some believe Darkness did not create these races, but rather, they are simply Aelfin and Fae who dedicated themselves so fully and completely to Darkness, they were forever changed.

///Anu'iana
A myriad of shifting lavender blue and pink; the Goddess Of Magic most often appears as a slender willowy Aelfin or Fae-like being. She has eyes of vivid intense magenta, and long hair of smokey dark blue, as well as a third eye of silvery blue on her forehead. Her form is always garbed in flowing wispy gossamer fabrics. She is known for being kindly and playful at times, but stern where she must be. At times, she's also been seen taking the form of a deer-like creature with similar coloration and a long tail. As the Goddess of Magic, she is capable of taking magic away from someone, or granting them the ability to touch the Arcane.
She has a devoted following among magic users, and even the most non religious mages will at least show her some respect, or try to avoid gaining her ire. One does not need her direct blessing or guidance to wield magic in the world, but catching her attention for the wrong reasons, such as abusing their gift, is probably a bad idea.
