1. While you are allowed to make up symptoms/a disorder for your character, please don't fill them up with so many problems that they become the most pitiable kid in school. Remember that their condition can't be severe enough that they have to be in a hospital. They need to be able to still go to class, if at least for a little bit. Also keep in mind that everyone's got a story behind their condition, so don't try to purposely make your character have the darkest backstory ever. I swear to god, if I see one person talking about abuse...
But don't misunderstand. You character could have been in the hospital PRIOR TO JOINING SILVER OAK, and maybe even sometime LATER IN THE PLOT (run that by me though), but for now please make sure they are able to still go to school.
2. When it comes to constructing your character, run any ideas you have for them by me before you do anything. For example, if your character is prone to episodes of some sort of attack, then please run it by me before you give them such an attack. The reason this exists is because I might have something planned as well, and I don't want something important to happen as your character has an attack.
3. While people with mental disabilities are not accepted at Silver Oak, there are very specific exceptions. For this reason, please PM me about any of your characters' conditions, and I can confirm if they are acceptable or not. For example, if your character has a really obvious condition, such as heavy scarring on their body, then it's only natural for them to develop some sort of anxiety at being looked at like they're some sort of freak. This is something that is allowed in Silver Oak. However, characters that have anxiety for no reason are not allowed. If it helps, think about it like this: As long as their disability still allows them to learn and be in class (at least for a little bit) then they are allowed.
4. There are two different dormitory buildings in Silver Oak. They are the GIRLS' dormitory and the BOYS' dormitory, located ACROSS FROM EACH OTHER. I DARE you to try some funny business! I WILL HAVE NO HANKY-PANKY IN MY SCHOOL!
*Ahem* Anyway, the dorms are separated between boys and girls for a reason. Please, no spending every night in someone else's (of the opposite gender) room. Also, there is a curfew, so if you don't want to get chewed out, I expect everyone to be in their rooms before lights out. You'd have to be pretty bold to spend the night in the dorm building of the opposite gender. There shouldn't be a reason as to why people are spending nights in each other's rooms anyway.
IC Rules (These can be broken, but might get you in trouble!)
1. No running in the halls. While this might seem mundane in other schools, it's a must in Silver Oak. There are people with serious conditions that might not be able to take a impact like that, so please try not to do it.
