Derek wandered around a bit before he finally found the car he was looking for. He was covered in blood that was not his own (probably from the hellhounds) and his blades had grown significantly because of it. He approached the car, waiting to be acknowledged.
The rusted out hunk of junk stirred violently, before the doors opened and a flurry of bats poured out and attacked him, squealing.
As noted before, those hornets around Derek were quite fast and protective. As the bats swooped in, they'd hit a solid plate of blood like a brick wall, only to be pushed back and the blood engulfing Derek more thickly, preparing for any other attacks. "Stop.. At least I know you're the car i'm looking for. I'm not here to bother or hurt you... In fact, i'm here to help you move on, to help you feel better, hell I'll fix you so that you can move more effectively. Let's start with names.. If you have one. I am called Dead Man around this place. It's actually WHAT I am, but... my real name is not important."
The doors slammed shut and brown eyes opened up from the cracked and corroded windsheild.
''How is a car expected to trust a lieing human to fix her body when she has been here for decades only to be left here and abandoned. She has no means of moving, yet she can see you. A car that used to be used to drive around, yet I sit here to rust away. My name is Cranky Doortrap, hellcar one of this wasteland, you fool.''

Derek slowly began to approach Cranky, those bloody defenses still up, though the blades faded away to increase his defense. "Cranky.. Okay. As for lies... Why would I have a reason to lie? Would I have just fought my way through countless hellhounds just to come make a joke out of you? I care about you and every other lost soul in this place, because i'm not like any other human, and you can tell that just by looking at me, Cranky. I have far less better things to do than help you and everyone else... After all, i'm trapped here now, too." He said with a sigh. "Now.. I can fix you, and I know I can. I can find parts from other cars and use my blood to make tools to use temporarily. From the looks of you it will take a good while, but I can get you running again, and when I do, then I can even paint you and buss you to a shine, or anything else you want."
''They all said that before they left me here.'' She sneered, tires flat to the ground. She looked like she had been in several car crashes, even rusted out where water had covered her from flooding. Yet she was a car, but seemed more than that.
Derek crossed his arms. "Okay, how about this? If it does turn out I'm lying, I give you permission to kill me in any way possible that you can. Does it sound like a deal now? I swear that all i want to do is help. Like I said, i'm trapped too, and helping you out sure beats sitting around with tall dark and freaky all day in the other buildings." [You CAN'T say that you didn't chuckle at least a little bit at that. ]
''Your a human.'' She hissed, snorting. ''And I can't kill humans, they created me.''
(Sorry if my posts are short sometimes. ;..)
(Sorry if my posts are short sometimes. ;..)
[Oh, no, it's fine. I just post large because I get as much information across as I can think of.] "Well, still. I WILL help you... Just let me look under the hood and see what's missing or needs to be replaced. Once I have all that done, I'll get you some new tires, gasoline, replace the bulbs in your lights, get a new battery.. Maybe do some suspension work if you need it, knock out some of the dents in the body.. Yeah.. Then if I can find some paint, I can paint you, too, but all this might take a day or two. Not too long, though."
CD opens her hood, a hellhound pup darting out quickly. A rotted out engine that seemed damaged, and a crystallinr object planted into it that pulsed to each word the car spoke, and to each putter of the damaged systems still trying to work properly. ''Well?''
Derek looked at it all for a moment before nodding. "It all looks pretty good other than the engine. I also can see what gives you life, it's some sort of crystal artifact-... I won't touch it though. " He put on his gloves, the blood defense around him falling and seeping back into his skin as he reached in to pull out a few parts on the engine, being sure to take care, just in case the car could feel it. Once those parts were out he set them aside (as some of the screws and fastens were still useful) and hmmed. "Just a moment." He went to the next car over, popping open it's hood as well, and taking a few more usable parts from it, and forming tools in his hands out of blood. Once all the parts were in place he wiped his brow and got a few others from another car, and repeated the process of fixing and gathering. After about an hour or so, he let out a sigh of relief. "Everything will work fine. Now I just have to siphon some gasoline and get bulbs for all of the electrical stuff." He said with a smile, closing her hood.
''I'm an AI car, but my owner left me out here to die after the park shut down. Such a shame, isn't it? To be left here, rotting away..''
"I know. It must feel horrible." He said, running a hand over her rusted hood top before going over to the car next to them again, making a tube and a hollow ball of blood, so that he could take and contain the gasoline from it. He did this again with a couple more until it was full, and then moved it all over to Cranky, pouring the gas into her tank. "Alright, that should do it. Try to start. If it works, then I'll get started on the wiring and stuff after I get the bulbs."
CD attempts to start her engine; It whined loudly before backfiring and shutting off, spewing oi out everywhere around her violently. Hot oil.
Derek covered his face by impulse, shuddering in delight at the burning sensation all over his body. "Ahhhh--God... One of the upsides of masochism, Cranky, when I get hurt, it feels good.." He said with a half-smirk. "Well, by that outburst i'm assuming that you need an oil change as well. Can't believe I forgot about that." He clicked his fingers before cutting a wrist again, allowing blood to flow out, absorb the oil on his body, and drop it onto the pavement before allowing the clean blood to flow back into the wound and coagulate. "Oil.. Oil... Where will I find motor oil.. Is there a car place nearby, Cranky? If there is I can probably get even better car parts and oil." [Ah, masochism, embarrassingly useful. ]
''Theres a sports place in this parking lot, but it's been locked up for centuries. I'm glad pain won't hurt you. But it does hurt me. My wires are sensitive.''
Derek nodded. "I'll be able to break the locks, probably. As for your wires, I'll be sure to take care not to be too rough." He said. "I'll be right back." And he was off to the sports store. He had to fight a little bit more, and therefore returned covered in blood, but he returned with enough oil, bulbs of every kind for the internal and external lights both, a car battery, a few wires, and resin seal for the cracked windshield and windows. He went ahead and applied the resin first, just so that it would look a bit better, and went to work installing the new battery. Once he'd carefully wired everything up and installed the bulbs(which took three hours or so) he poured the oil in and stepped farther back than last time. "Okay, let'er rip!"
She tries to start her engine again. It whined and turned several times before it roared to life, puttering out dust and ash. And more bats.
Derek smirked. "Alright, we've got it. I'll go back to the sports place for tires so that you can move around, too. I'll get a jack and some real tools too." He hurried back and forth again, setting the jack under Cranky and beginning to unscrew the nuts holding her right front tire on. "Almost there, Cranky. It wasn't this part that would take a few days, it was this and painting combined. Maybe I can install some new seats and everything, eh?" He smiled, patting the newly installed tire before moving to the one behind it. "How are you feeling now, mood wise?"
''Still cranky at being left here. They never gave me a chance to prove I'm more than just a car.''
