Kris had been perplexed and then amused with the words and the smile that Eliana shot her, but she caught on and smiled in a mischievous sort of way. She sent a furtive glance toward Korbin. The cleric had decided she might try to talk to him later even if she knew she would hold firm in her convictions.
As they approached the guild, she suggested, "Perhaps we can get something to eat after the carcasses have been turned over, rethink our strategy for next time."

"I agree. It seems ze monsters here are too smart to be snuck upon and simply fooled. I zink ze best strategy will be to work on reaction times and general combat skills. Zis world is like combat simulation i once play. It is all about being a powerful reactive fighter."
Korbin had remained silent for the entire trip back to the guild. It seemed as if something was troubling him, since he seemed to be looking at something beyond sight. This distant gaze didn't seem like his normal contemplating gaze, but one more of confusion and slight agitation.
John walked downstairs to the main foyer of the guild. He approached the receptionist at the front desk. "By chance do you know if any of the new hero's are back from that wolf Misson they went on?" He said with a bit of charm.
The eyes in the lady at the desk shined as they returned, "Ah welcome back heroes."
Kris found herself wondering if a lot of adventurers smoked, since it seemed to be a stressful lifestyle. She also wondered just what was going to happen whenever the cigarettes ran out. "We might help with our reaction times by signing to one another, people often use their hands to communicate over long distances. Combat is not my biggest strength, I rely more on my magic and my talents are with healing. But everyone needs to know how to defend themselves, or innocent people."
The cleric did not fail to take note of Korbin, he looked sullen to her. She addressed both of them with her inquiries. "And what about those people who showed up? The ones angry about the wolves? Or were they even entirely people?"
A cheerful wave was given to the woman behind the desk. "Hello, we're back! I think we met some crazy nature preservation fanatics along the way. My name is Krisuvial Moonshadow, when I came in here before I was gone as soon as I left!"
Recalling John from when she had been here before, she waved at him as well. "Oh, they let you back in!"

John saw the Kris come in. He laughed at the small elfs statement. "Yea luckily they did." Hee said with a cheerfully yet tired voice. "You joined up with the hero's I see? I'm their guide/Mentor/Person who makes them not in trouble. My name is John and it's a pleasure to meet you." He thought the elf had a cute look to her. With a slightly nervous chuckle he put his hand out to shake Kris's hand. (John is 18)

Lol nice
Hmm its zat John again. I'd razer avoid too much contact wiz him, he tends to zrow me off. I should work on my composure around him. Not sure what it is about him, most I can just feel nozing around.
Eliana casually ignored John. She puffed off the rest of her cigarette, knocking away the last of the ash. She grabbed the whistle around her neck.
I wonder if zis zing might be charmed in any way? I mean besides what John had already told me. Maybe I should put zis zing into a safe place where its magics would leave me unaffected.
Kris noticed that John was nervous, and shook his hand, but she was completely clueless about why he would be nervous. "Oh, you are? I thought Arisa was? You should come along next time, because some things went wrong. Some animal fanatics came upon us, and there was a duel between one of them and Korbin. Things just went downhill from there."
Looking over at Eliana and Korbin, and seeing that Eliana was distracted, she cleared her throat. "What do you think of my suggestions about the hand signs earlier?"

Might as well turn these in to the receptionist. But what is it with those people? It's guaranteed that they aren't human, but what the hell is it about them? Something is off...
Korbin walked up to the receptionist lady and held the wolf corpses up as proof of their completion of the quest.
"Here you go. All five of them." He said.

"Ah thank you" the lady at the desk said as she took down the notes before handing over a bag of gold, "200 gold pieces to be split among you. You can also keep the corpse if you like or the guild can buy them." Arisa was nowhere to be found.
200 huh? A paltry amount compared to the fundings from the monarch, but every little bit counts. That would put it at 50 for each of us if I included Arisa and Kris.
"What would we receive for selling the corpses to the guild?" Korbin asked.
It may not be much. I should consult with Kris and Eliana on whether or not they deem it valuable enough, and we should reach a conclusion then.

Kris wondered if they would be including Arisa or diving the 200 by three.
"I'd be fine with selling the corpses to the guild, may as well make what money we can, right?" she asked, looking back and forth between Eliana and Korbin. She decided to try and bring up tactics later on, over food, when Korbin did not respond to her suggestions. The cleric wasn't sure if her ideas were terrible or if he was just determined to ignore her. Eliana did seem more receptive and wise, at least, she thought to herself.

Eliana, having been in deep thought, was highly distracted. She hadn't even noticed what had been happening. Very uncharacteristic of her.
Damn zat John
She came back to reality.
"Kris. Zat may be an excellent idea. Hand signals could be an efficient way to send messages without making noise. "
She began thinking of the military.
"Also, let us do some research before selling ze carcasses. Perhaps we can discover a vendor willing to pay high price...... or even better, maybe they have magical properties.
Of course we'll need to have a way to preserve zem... can we easily suspend zem in time or freeze zem? Someone know a good spell?"

Sorry about that delay. I was distracted and idk y but sometimes rpr just doesn't email me about new posts
Kris shook her head, “I have not yet learned the spell for preserving a corpse. Someone else might pay for the coats, though. Wolf furs are highly sought after by hunters, aren’t they?”
She smiled whenever Eliana agreed with her about the hand signals. “We can establish some to use while we eat. If we do use the wolves for fur . . . I have never skinned anything, but I’ve seen it done and know how.”

((What time is it in rp wise now? Midnight or early in the morning?))
((I'm gonna assume that it's almost midday, like maybe 11:30 am.))
Arisa had returned from her little errand and quietly joined the conversation. The book she was holding was now attached along to her waist.
"Alright, zen we should prioritize time. Lets get ze meat sold before its rancid. We can sell the skins and bones with less priority."
She went with the two of them to begin the skinning.
"I am know how to do zis. Fazer always had me clean his kills."
She showed them how to do it.

The cleric's delicate little nose wrinkled as they went to work with the carcasses, she did her best not to show how disgusted she felt. Still, the curl to her mouth and the way she snorted on occasion would likely clue others in to the fact that her chores had not involved a lot of animal skinning. She felt some envy for Eliana, having more practical skills.
"How long will the meat keep?" the elf asked. She did what she could to help, not wanting to back down from any sort of work no matter how distasteful she found it. Kris also paid careful attention, wanting to learn from Eliana, before she tried to skin one of the carcasses herself.
