Frueta Palace or the City hall of the kingdom. All the paperwork and adminstration were done on the side building attached to the palace. The main palace's use was to gather all the council members and to establish a government. Of course the Palace itself has entertainment and usual uses of a palace. Out of all buildings across the city, this one was more guarded than the walls or the guard posts.
The natural capital of said kingdom or world. The road was unusually flat for its dirt surface where there was no bumps or any obstacles to be seen on the way. The city was very nature like. Homes built into the trees, into the hills, ontop of the trees, bridges across from one tree to another, and homes made of wood and the likes. There were also stone buildings but the majority of them were wood. All roads were spacious and wide, leaving no mind of being crowded or constriant.

The new hero has been teleported to the side of the palace. There were guards shouting orders. Elven and beastmen guards. "There's been a murder at the palace. To the Minister of Foreign Affairs room hurry!" Quite near the glass broke and a cloaked figure jumped out and landed. "There he is!" one of the guards shouted. Three guards on the far end, past the cloaked figure, were coming to him.
Korbin began falling at a very high speed but as he neared the ground [Wind Burst] a gust of wind carried him forward allowing him to roll on landing to avoid injury and keep his momentum.

He was moving fast, just barely able to match the pace of the knight. He saw the guards closing in and had an idea for a brutal but potentially effective tactic.
Lance had been sitting at his desk reading the paper as he dozed off. He snapped awake and took a sip of coffee, blinking to shrug off the weariness in his eyes. One blink he saw his office, the next he was standing to the side of the palace. He dropped his mug with a crash as he heard shouting.

As much as he was confused as to where he was, Lance was more concerned as to why there was shouting. He picked up almost instantly when he heard something about a murder. His line of work dealt with things of that manner, but he assumed he was dreaming, having just passed out in his office, so he went with it, heading towards the source of the shouting, without a clue of where he was or why he was there.
The guards would run past Lance perpendicularly. Around the corner was the cloaked figure running away from Korbin and toward the three guards. Her hood was still on. "Stop criminal, stop!" the guards said as they formed a line with their weapons. They're quite high level in consideration of their gear.
Kris also sprinted after the cloaked figure. She probably looked quite the sight, dressed for a banquet. The elf at least stayed decent as she dashed after the perpetrator. She was fast even if she wasn't strong, and had at least worn her boots underneath the long dress.

Muttering a spell under her breath, she cast a spell to send a plague of insects after the cloaked figure. Wasps appeared out of thin air and buzzed angrily, descending in a dark cloud toward the fleeing perpetrator. Her spell was intended as a distraction that would make it more difficult for them to flee and defend themselves.
Korbin began veering to the right, intending to hit the cloaked figure from the side.

Time to overclock.

[Prism Charge: Electron Surge]

A small amount of electricity surged throughout Korbin's body, causing him to run much faster than normal. He began to quickly close the gap between himself and the figure.

I've gotta time this just right.
Lance froze once he saw the guards run by. He turned and followed them in return. He was confused, but assumed his best chances at something of an answer, as to where he was and what was going on, would be to follow after the individuals.

With a quick check he nodded, both his pistols were still in their holsters clipped to his belt underneath his trench coat. He left the pistols in their holsters, but would remember that they were there if he needed to use them. Until then he just tried to keep up with the people who had been running past him.
Noticing the plague of insects, she stretched out her left hand and unleashed a flame to the insects. Her other hand drew a short sword. Due to the insane closing up the distance to the guards, she stopped the flame magic before dodging a guard's first strike. Suddenly her movement blurred and the next moment all three guards were cut down. A blood puddle was forming underneath the bodies.
Now's my chance.

[Lightning Step]
Korbin suddenly closed the distance between himself and the cloaked figure in just half a second.

[Prism Charge: Seismic Stomp]

((Here's what it would look like kinda))

He slammed his foot on the ground, causing the earth around him to warp and whip for a brief moment which would send the figure flying into the air. Korbin didn't stop there. [Wind Burst] a powerful gust of wind sent him flying towards the cloaked person with a powerful calf kick aimed at her head.
Kris was frustrated whenever her spell was not successful. She veered to the side when she saw Korbin making his attack, not wanting to get caught in any friendly fire. The cleric tried another spell, taking a small, straight piece of iron from her pocket. She stopped so she could concentrate, the iron burning up in her hand and vanishing but it didn't affect her skin. Chanting the words to her spell and moving her arms and fingers through specific patterns, she shot a spell toward the fleeing figure that was intended to hold and paralyze them if it was successful.

The elf had already used some of the limited offensive spells she did have and her primary aim was to slow the perpetrator down. She started running through the streets after them again as soon as her spell had fired off. Kris hoped the spell would take effect in time for Korbin’s attack, wanting to try to raise his chances of success as much as possible.
Nick walked up calmly and collectedly behind the group that was giving chase to what appeared to be a thief.”How nice, I arrive and the first thing I get to see is an interesting assorment of Magic and whatnot.” He held out his right hand and a white rune briefly flashed dimly on the backside of his gloved hand. Then with a glowing blue light the rune pattern in the palm of his hand reagranged themselves and emmitted their own purple light. Instantly a pen and notebook popped into existence infront of Nick. He reached out and grabbed the two implements and took notes on what he was seeing.

He stood there watching and writing, not appearing to offer any form of assistance. He didn’t feel the need to. This thief or assassin or whatever they were was outnumbered, and from what he could tell, outclassed. If he were to join the fight at this time he would only get in the way.
"Ah...this annoying" she thought to herself as she flew into the air by Prism Charge magic. Rotating in the air she was disoriented until she cast [Imperials Arts: Sixth Sense Surrounding]. Due to her extordinary stat, she snapped onto Korbin's leg and grabbed onto it. She also rotated her body to lessen the momentum and tried to swung Korbin toward Kris' spell. Meanwhile a dozen guards further down the road were coming up to them.
Fatal mistake.

[Prism Charge: Electron Surge] His leg became charged with an incredible amount of electricity. The electricity surged through the figure's arm and torso. This magic left Korbin's leg somewhat numb but it was nothing compared to what the opponent must have felt.

This had better work...
Lance muttered some incoherent curse under his breath. As the situation unfolded around him, he didn't know what to do. He gave a glance to see several more guards running down the road. He wasn't sure whether or not he wanted to flag someone down for answers or wait until this fiasco was over, but he didn't want to just sit back and watch. Unfortunately for him, without interfering he would have to just let this unfold before him and ask questions later.

Better wait for the situation to die down before I go and start trying to get answers from strangers, especially the ones who are trying to stop that one person. He thought, Wonder what they really did. I heard murder, but is that it? Once more, I'll have to bloody wait and see.
Kris watched with horror as she thought the fleeing assassin was going to swing Korbin right into the way of her spell. The Hold Person spell barreled right at the pair. She very nearly cursed, which Kris never does.

She watched as the electricity from Korbin altered the assassin's movements, making them slow down and twitch. The impediment caused them to miss being able to put Korbin in the way of the spell, and it hit them head on. The cleric watched with bated breath to see whether or not it would hold.

The elf jumped for joy whenever it did, then she quickly recovered her composure and tried to look serious. The assassin toppled over, stuck in position and looking almost comical.
The electricity had no effect on her but the spell took away her focus for a second and caused her to be hit by the bind spell. She fell down and was on her knees but her hood was on. The guards were running closer now. She held her position there for a second. Though from an angle...is that a grin?
Lilica clapped as she walked out of the shadows. "Beautiful display. Left me speechless." She had a sly grin on her face. "But I have a prize to claim real quick. If you'll excuse me." She began singing softly and a large flower formed under the figure. as she walked up to it. "It'll be just a moment." The petals closed as she walked to the center of it. Any attempts at prying or burning the petals from the outside would be met with a wall of vines. She grabbed at the hood to pull the figure up. And attempted to use one hand to cover their mouth and the other to hold them in place as she tried to bite down on their neck. The scene blocked from outside eyes by the petals.
Nick activated his Alchemist Eye as the suspicious woman made herself alone with the culprit. An accomplice perhaps? he thought to himself. Then the truth reared it’s ugly head. Nicks eye pierced through the leaves, showing two outlines of humanlike figures inside the plant. One he assertained must’ve been the thief/assassin, the other, without a doubt was a vampire, or at the very least nothing human. He scowled for a moment but said nothing, he would have to look into this. For now he decided to observe.
Once Korbin landed, he collapsed to the ground out of energy.

Damn that was risky. You saved my ass Kris.

Korbin's eyes were unfocused and his vision was slightly blurry. He couldn't move his legs at all and his arms were nearly out of strength.

"Well at least my legs aren't broken. I had best move away from here." Korbin rolled onto his back and started pushing himself away from the flower.

"One could only wonder as to what is going on in there." Korbin said to himself.
