Adrian panned his gaze towards Lilica when she came over, which is the main reason he noticed Nick.

"Oh no, the buzzing fly is back." Lilica mumbled under her breath.

He looked down at her and back at Nick with a confused look. After a pause he shook Nicks hand, "What is it?" His voice was deep and clear. He air around him seemed cold. Not figuratively, but in a literal sense.
"Well I was told by her that she inherited the ability to control those plants from natures blessing. I was just wondering if I could get more information on that." Nick noticed the drop in temperature and smiled,"based on the frigid temperature can I assume that you are a similar case?" as he talked the Alchemist eye scanned the two, looking for any physical characteristics that distinguished them from normal people. He was mainly looking for differences that hinted to them being people who inherited some form of power from nature.
"No, I have nothing to do with nature." He shook his head slowly with a sigh. He opened one eye to see Nick studying him. "What are you doing?"
"Having a conversation with my newest acquaintance." Nick replied nonchalantly. He didn't care if this provoked Adrian or not, this was as much a psychological evaluation as a physical.

Nick frowned at Adrians answer to his question,"Hmm so, the fine lady over here," He pointed at Lilica,"Utilizes natures blessing, and you just like to cool the air around you?"
"I don't have much of a choice when it comes to the cold air. I don't want to talk about it." He narrowed his eyes at Nick's comment and sighed when thinking about having to talk about his magic.
seems to have distracted him a bit. Nick though to himself. He continued scanning but changed to some different levels of perception, heat signatures, nothing different,”I see, pay it no mind then I understand not wishing to speak of the pa-“He had just switched to x-rays and he stopped abruptly. Their skeletons and organs were mostly the same, except for one key area, the teeth. Their canines were elongated more than a humans...so that meant—he blinked. “Heheh sorry” He said, trying to be as casual as he could he made up an excuse”got a bit sentimental for a second...”

This was bad, vampires weren’t extremely common, most people didn’t even regard them as real. Not to mention that these two obviously had some very strong magic on their side. He needed to do something about this...
James looks over at korbin hearing his response then says "Ok but you can never be too sure." James leaves the group and walks back to the palace. As james walks back he enjoys the view of the current area. "It's too bad I might not be here for long" james says to himself slowing his pace.
"I do not know what vengeance...but the rats are thieves, black market dealers, and the like...I think Alisa knows more about this area than I do. So...I suggest we head back to the palace" Arisa advised.
Kris walked back to the palace with Arisa and the others. “Well, I am sure we’ll find Alisa back at the palace. Once we’ve pieced all the events together we can try to figure out where we need to go for answers.”

The elf wrinkled her nose at the very thought of thieves and black market dealers. “I don’t like talking with those types but sometimes it’s necessary. If Alisa knows more about this place she might know someone who has a better reputation that might know . . . I wonder what the Minister could have done?”

As they arrived back at the Palace, Kris began asking around about where Alisa was. A couple of the guards shook their heads to indicate they didn’t know where she was, but the cleric began to walk inside. People were talking excitedly and gossiping, some were more agitated.
Korbin followed Kris into the palace but split up and took a different path. All the way during his search, he felt as if something was following him that was intangible. If one were to look very closely, they would notice that his shadow's movements lagged ever so slightly behind his own.

Eventually his search warranted little success so he sought out Kris, hoping she would have found Alisa.
James arrives in the palace shortly after everyone else and also from buying something at the black market. As james walks in he studies the blade he purchased and attempts to bend it but it won't "huh authentic" james says as he continues walking.
"Run along kid. Your new group is leaving." He looked down at Lilica. " Let's go." Both turned and walked away without saying another word.
The guards instructed Arisa to lead the hero’s group to the conference room where Alisa was waiting at. Peace and quiet returned to the Palace but the guards were still looking for the criminals while the minister’s body was carried away for investigation. Alisa was already sitting at one of the chairs at one of the conference rooms. “You have returned” Alisa said, “Come and sit down. What happened to the hooded girl? I heard gunshots when I returned from my chase.” On the desk were two broken swords that was resulted from her combat. On Alisa’s back were two additional swords that are currently in sheath. Her appearance looked fine, but her face was grim. Arisa spoke up, “T-the hooded girl had escaped….”
“Very well.” Nick called after the pair as they left. Once the other group had left as well Nick followed Adrian and Lilica’s tracks a fair distance behind them. Each person left a distinct magical trail linked to their magic or soul or something, Nick wasn’t 100% sure what distinguished people’s wavelengths. That, paired with the slight changes that footsteps left on the ground, and the laughable precision of the Alchemist Eye made it a simple task to follow someone.
John noticed the migration in people and followed into the palace.

Passing Adrian and his sister he gave a friendly wave before heading inside.
Kris plopped down, "We failed to apprehend her. We gave chase and attacked, but she eluded us. In the end, despite our efforts, she enacted a spell that allowed her to simply fade away," she said, a hand gesturing through the air. "Her hood slipped as she escaped. She had red hair," the elf mentioned.

The healer did look around for the heroes after sitting down, noticing that they had wandered somewhat. She saw Korbin arrive, suspecting he might have tailed them. "Any clues as to who it might have been? Weapons left behind or anything like that?"
"That is a shame....the rider escaped. She broke my swords in the process which was....unexpected...surprisingly to say those swords weren't that great but they should've hold up to my current level. I had to use my Black Blade" Alisa explained then asked, "No they didn't leave any weapons. I don't know the red knight and the hooded red girl was it? Hmm....do any of you mind if I take a look of her through your mind?"
Lilica would suddenly straighten up and poke Adrian a couple times before dashing off into an alleyway, disappearing from sight. Adrian also began deliberately walking slower.
"I did make a rough sketch of her face if that could help." Korbin said reaching into his coat and pulling out his notebook and flipping to his sketch of the girl.

"Here, it's rough but it captures most of the significant features." He said handing it over to Alisa.
Still fairly confused John pulled over another Guard and asked for the full story in detail.

He sat the guard down and got him something to drink since he did look shaken up.

The Guard began to explain. John listened closely.
