Hana whips a small notebook out of her backpack and prepares to write.

"Rule number one is something we've already gone over: Don't enter any cabinets or the machine/material room without permission."

"Rule number two: Don't do any unauthorized experiments. Make sure you ask me before trying something out, as there might be hazards you don't know about." Mr. Grey turns to begin writing the rules on the whiteboard behind him.
"Rule 3: You need to wash your hands before and after using liquid magic. This is just a safety precaution."
"Rule 4: If you go into the liquid magic cabinet or machine/material room without permission, you could face suspension or expulsion from the school. This isn't my rule, it's set by the school, but it's something I fully support since breaking it could result in you getting hurt. In order to fully understand the dangers, let's go over what could happen if you broke this rule."

Mr Grey moves to the other side of the whiteboard. "Firstly, let's go over the possible effects of liquid magic. It's a weird substance, and does different things depending on what abilities you have or magic you use. It can cause negative effects such as burns, loss of ability control, illness, inability to use magic, and a variety of other temporary effects due to it's potency and the natural unpredictability of raw magic."

"Now, going on to the dangers of the machine room, if you run a machine without supervision, there's a much higher chance you could get hurt and not have anyone to help you than if you had supervision. Plus, if you take any materials without someone seeing you do it and taking catalog of what you took, you could get found out and get in trouble for taking material without permission. And that can lead to suspension or at the very least a detention."
"Another rule is that you need to be wearing closed toe shoes and have your hair tied up if it's long when we're working with machinery or liquid magic."
"Most of the other safety rules are detailed in the textbooks, which leads us to our first assignment. You will grab a textbook and read the safety chapter, then write down the 5 rules that you think are most important on some paper. After you finish, bring your paper up to my workbench to turn it in. Make sure you put your name on it. Now, let's get going!"
He gets a little confused about having work turned in on a sheet of ice, but accepts it.
Hana isn’t sure what she should be doing, and thus taps River. “Uh, hey! What are we doing??”
Mr Grey picks up a phone that's mounted on the wall upon hearing it ring. he listens to the other person, answers with a "Sure thing," and hangs up.

Around 5 minutes later, a lady who seemed to be in her mid 40s and was slightly chubby looking enters the room with an entire class, who immediately sit down at the computers and steal glances at the ongoing class. The teacher walks up to Mr Grey.

"You're sure this won't cause a disruption?" She asks.

"Not at all. In fact, I've got the perfect device for this."

Mr Grey clears his throat with a loud *Ahem* and claps twice. "Attention magitech class! We've got a class who'll be working here today! This is Ms Crewe, the cooking teacher here at Oakwater!"

Ms Crewe waves.
Mr Grey continues. "And in order to keep noise level down, I have a demonstration to show the magitech class."
Hana pays close attention as Mr Grey grabs a metal, almost toy gun looking contraption from his workbench. "This is the Sound Blaster, which has the ability to change the volume of anything, or create barriers which sound cannot cross," he says, excitement lacing his voice. It was clear he liked showing his inventions. "If you study hard, you may be able to create tools such as this."

He grabs some chalk and draws a line between the magitech and computer areas, then stands back and aims at the computer area, turning a knob on his gadget. Multiple students shuffle away as he shoots a bright green blast at the area, which spreads out right at the chalk line and creates a wall for a moment before fading.

"Now, anyone on this side of the room will be unable to hear the other side, and vice versa," he says with a slight grin, standing in the middle of the barrier so both classes could hear him and understand what was happening.

Hana's jaw dropped. She was amazed, and excited to work with magitech.
Ms Crewe claps and begins instructing her students.
Mr Grey and Ms Crewe monitor their classes.
