One half of the room is full of workbenches and tools, and the other half is full of computers. Safety guidelines are posted everywhere.
The teacher, sitting at a large workbench at the front of the room, seems to be preparing something. He looks up and nods at Blaise. "Good morning." A trickle of students arrive, and the teacher greets them too.
"Well, first we have to wait for school to start and get through homeroom. Then I'll be explaining the class."
The teacher quits his tinkering and stands up. "Alright everyone, please take your seats. Homeroom is beginning." A few groups of students rush to sit down.
((I am going to bed. I have something to do tommorow so I will not be able to reply for awhile.))
The teacher stretches. "Alright students, today we'll be going over what this class is about."
(Apologies for the delay)

"In this class, as per the course description, we will be making technology using magic. The units we will be covering a-" He begins before looking in the group's direction. "Please quiet down over there or I may have to give extra homework or detentions."
The teacher facepalms. This was going to be a long hour.
"..As I was saying, the units we'll be going over each have one topic leading up to a final project for the unit. At the end of the year, you will be required to invent something that uses magic to solve a problem. Any questions?"
He glances around the room. "Ah, and I guess I should introduce myself. I'm Mr. Grey, but if you'd like you can call me Mr. G."
Mr. Grey claps once and stands. "Okay! Time for a quick tour. Please stay seated as I show you everything."
He walks over to a cabinet with a lock on it. "This cabinet contains many vials of liquid magic. No student is allowed in it without supervision and permission. Liquid magic is very potent and could potentially harm you if you were to spill it, so we set the rule in place to keep people safe. The cabinet's also been enchanted to guard against magic and can withstand high temperatures and brute force, so don't even think about tampering with it."
"That brings us to our next stop: The safety equipment." He walks to a rack of lab coats, a cabinet of safety glasses and gloves, a first aid kit hanging on the wall, and an eyewash station, all tucked closely together. "When we eventually begin working with liquid magic, it'll be important to stay safe. Thus, by regulation of the Odd Council, we're required to have 5 things in our Magitech classroom: Lab coats, safety glasses, a first aid kit, an eyewash/shower station, and safety gloves." He opens the glasses cabinet so everyone can see the glasses and gloves inside. "Any questions?"

"No problem. Moving on, in here is the machinery and materials room." He gestures towards a nearby door. "Once again, you will not be permitted into here without permission and supervision. You'll also need to be wearing gloves and glasses if you're using a machine due to small metal shavings and such."
"Next up, various supply cabinets," Mr Grey says as he motions towards some cabinets in the back of the room. "They've got pretty much all the supplies we'll need for the class. Please don't go in them without permission." He motions towards a cart of textbooks. "And these are the textbooks we'll be using for some parts of the class. You can borrow one if you need to, but please return it within a week or you'll be fined by the school. You also need to check with me before taking one."
"On the other side of the room are the computers. We might use them once or twice, but they're mainly used in the Computer Engineering class."
"That's a very complicated answer, and quite an off-topic question," Mr Grey says. "There's a unit where we make a simple magic powered computer later on in the year. Perhaps you'll find your answer then, or you could research it in the library."
"I believe that's everything in the room.. Are there any questions before we move on to safety rules?"
"Yes, as a precaution most of the safety equipment is fireproof, as well as most of the things in here."
He goes up to the front of the room. "Let's begin going over the main safety rules for the class."
