I return from my vacation early! But is it too late for the rp threads...?
I will try to resurrect Swells, but either way will probably want to start one or two new threads.

Are we continuing with Raid of the Aftbide as well ? or just Swells of Rage for now?
Raid of Aftbide is terminal, I think. Most of the rpers aren't posting anymore. RIP Raid of Aftbide, you were my baby.
I'll just focus on Swells for now.

Shame, I liked Raid of Aftbide, I enjoyed the plot of that particular RP. Such a shame that it drifted away into radio silence, now we will never know if the village was saved or not!
You should restart it, Raid of Aftbide II or something similar along those lines of bandits assaulting the village.
As for Swells of Rage can't wait for you to bring Chowder back, he's been quiet for a while

I can do RoA 2, but I'd have to godmode a bit. Make sure all important characters were still alive and push the time forward a bit. Its easy enough to do.
Also, thanks for the welcomes!

You have my full permission to godmod your own RP's characters ... creator.
Not sure I have the authority to grant such permission but you certainly do!

If you want, you can tell me where you'd like your characters to be after the battle between the bandits + wraith and the militia + lord's men (I imagine the latter come later on in the fight.) I'd set the time forward a few days, probably during reparations.
For my own characters, I plan to determine their overall health post-raid via dice rolls. I could do the same for yours, but I'll write the others as though they got out of it mostly ok.

I honestly just wanna RP on this particular storyline, everything is up for grabs, if I dont like where my characters land I write my way back to where I want to be!
If Merthyr is rescued I can have him surrender again, if Pentre is captured I can have him escape... stories are soo fluid, that's the beauty of it all, and since it's your RP it's entirely up to you were we start it off.
Last I had it on RoA1...
Merthyr was with Taff at the town square, centre of the village, close to Grum, with battle against Katja's bandits ongoing + Iskra's bandits coming.
Lwyncelyne was approaching with lord Pentre bringing in the king's large royal army of 5000 men at arms / knights who would likely outnumber Katja + Iskra + Grum's crews.
Except for this wraith kind of thing... not sure how that one plays out

The visitant is kind of OP. Realistically the king's army would find much of the town destroyed by it. Obvs I can't just kill off all of paranoid's characters, but I'll have to make it devastating somehow. The trick is that there was only one or two ways to kill it, but I imagine they'd find a way to banish it. Especially with Lwyncelyne's return (i imagine if anyone she might know how to banish the spirit.)
My plans are to put Grum's forces in a route once Iskra shows up, bringing more focus to the wraith. Then one way or another they banish the thing and have to deal with the aftermath. Fast forward three to five days and you get the new thread. Grum and his bandits are off in the woods, Kerik's nowhere to be seen, Tara's helping the town rebuild, Tye's mostly buggered off by now so I don't have to write about him in this one anymore.
My guess about the other characters is that Katja's troops are rebuilding the town with volunteer builders from the army (since feudalism is a thing I imagine most of these soldiers probably have trades they ply when not at war, something they can use to help the villagers.) Iskra's bandits probably returned to the hills post battle to avoid the royal soldiers. Idk where Theo's character went but he probably left chaos in his wake. I especially don't know where that leaves Atoli but just guessing she's on her own now having an identity crisis/ maybe following Marcello around?

Okie dokie, is Grum taking Merthyr / Taff captives?
Lwyncelyne is a healing elf only.
Taff is the powerful warlock/druid/sorcerer so likely to ruin Grum's spells - wraith and make the chieftain very angry

Hey there, sorry I haven't been posting in the OOC threads, I lost most of my steam from doing RP's (but I really enjoyed them while they were active!) If you're gonna try to get RoA revived I would be willing to join back in if you'll have me. (Not sure what Atoli would do though)
Its alright, Beetlebelle. I know you're quite busy still. If you want to join in you're welcome to. I was thinking I'll have the rp closed for the first few posts before opening it to others. That way you can make the decision to write for Atoli before anything too big happens to forward the plot. Don't need to do it that way and nothing is set in stone, I'm currently working on a couple of different things right now.
Grum would definitely try. Thing is, where we left off, Tara found a weakness in the shield wall and was going with the sole focus of fending the chieftain off from those two. And with Iskra's interruption I greatly doubt that she'd be alone in that. So I think most likely Merthyr and Taff would be safe and sound, Grum would have to leave without them.

That's two (three?) votes so far. I guess I could whip up an opening post. It'll be a little bit tho.
Uhmm I´ll probably split the characters and have Taff be taken with Grum and leave Merthyr behind in town
Katja was running the Knights of the People who were saving the village. If I leave both characters behind in town, I´ll end up with almost no chance to RP on neither of the 2.
The fact Taff was taken will probably give Merthyr a reason to order a hunt/search party so those stranded in town have a chance to step into IC actively.
FYI... Merthyr doesn't know about Taff's powers and Taff fears he will be put to death over having magic so... when the need came... Taff used his own wooden staff to knock the king unconscious on purpose in order to use the powerful sorcery needed to tackle the wraith without Merthyr being none the wiser.
Having Merthyr unconscious would make it easy for Grum to take Taff leaving Merthyr unable to prevent it. By the time Merthyr awakens, with Taff and Grum gone, he assumes his clumsy servant accidentally knocked his own king out! which aligns to the concept the king has about his helpless manservant and reassures the king that the poor helpless sod needs saving from danger

That's a good idea. I think I'll go with that. I do have other ideas regarding the plot but I don't think any of them will conflict with your ideas.
