Just involving a new antagonist, something a little less local. Nothing's set in stone, but I also would prefer to withhold information since, if I do decide to implement this, it will be better if its a mystery.

Wasn’t sure where to mention it, but I know there are some sci-fi fans here, so I have to ask, has anyone started watching Lost In Space? Because it’s really got me interested in this genre.

The reboot, I think. My friends got me started on it, but if there’s an original I’m going to start on that too.
I think you'd def. know if it was the original, since it aired in 1967 (or at least that's what I remember from my brief wikipedia skim.) I'll have to take a look at it.
If you're getting into sci fi and enjoy philosophical stuff I'd suggest Ghost in the Shell. The original 1995 and 1996 movies, not the live action remake.

If you were to look at the remake on its own you might think its a decent movie. The reason its considered bad is because it completely lacks the philosophical aspect; like Hollywood drained it of its original point and inserted flashy colors and design in its place, hoping it'd hold up.

If you want Sci-fi shows with good quality and an amazing plot I cannot recommend the reboot of Battlestar Galactica hard enough. In my opinion the best sci-fi show I've ever watched.
