An uproarious crowd fills the seemingly ethereal stadium. Complete darkness envelops all the contestants, as they would soon notice, they seem to be sat in some sort of chair. Millions of, what can only be perceived as voices, ravenously shout in glee and anticipation, the voices seemingly growing in intensity and population rapidly. A light illuminates what looks as if it's a floating stage, with a floating top hat riding atop with seems to be a ball of black smoke. An antique-styled microphone descends from the black abyss around them, halting is it reaches the center of the smoke.
"Welcome," the roar of the crowd grows increasingly lowder with each word, "to the Show!" The mob loses all sense of containment and goes completely rabid, their shouts and screams become chaotic. "I present to you, the contestants!" The top hat of the black smoke tilts, as if it's gesturing to the stage where the contestants sit. The darkness quickly dissipated with arrays of blinding lights shining down on the contestants, allowing them to see their surroundings.
The contestants would see that there are five individuals there, all seated in different colored chairs. Red, blue, green, black, and white. They seem to be in a large room, with everything painted a pure white, with no object producing a shadow. In front of each contestant, is one large table, which each chair is situated around. On the table, are five items. A book, a torch, a ring, a necklace, and a knife. Each item having its own unique appearance.
The book: A large faded red leather-bound book with random symbols and a top-hap etched into the covering.
The torch: A metal and wood grip, spun together to make an interchanging stripe appearance, with a blue ball on the end of the handle.
The ring: A white and gold band, the edges being white, and the center a shining gold. Small runes seem to be melted onto the bad, with a small ruby on display.
The necklace: A completely silver necklace with a small locket at the end of it.
The knife: A sharp blade made by an unknown white metal, with etched runes and a top-hat that emit a very light blue hue.
"Dear contestants," the ghastly apparition booms inside the heads of the contestants. "I'm sorry to tell you, but, you've all just recently died." Sparing only but a moment for what was just said to set in with the contestants, the host continued. "Now I understand this may come as a shock to you, so I'll allow you to take as much time as you need to cope with. When you're ready, choose an item on the table, and your journey, will begin."

Jason winced. Dead?!?! he couldn't be dead! After all, the last thing he remembered was... "Oh crap!" Jason recalled being slammed into by a semi-truck.
" How in the holy hell do you expect us to just shake it off?!?! Like, oh by the way i'm dead, but it's no biggie."

[Sorry I'm late to reply. Just woke up and realised I'm in the group now so I could reply. Hopefully this is okay~]
As the lights came up and revealed everything around him, Leonard squinted his eyes at the lights. The lights were very much blinding. Leonard raised his hand up to his forehead and placed his hand so he could give his eyes a quick rest from the brightness. Then he spotted the audience. Yes, he had heard their chaotic screams. They were like animals, but he didn't think there would be so many people.
For a bit, he took a look around at his surroundings. From the looks of things, this was a gameshow. Why on earth was he here? If anything, how did he even get here?
Leonard stopped when hearing the voice. He listened in so he could hear what they were saying. The man listened intently and after hearing the news, he froze for a few seconds. He's dead. What news to head. While it was upsetting, thinking back to his last memory he wasn't exactly in a safe position. It ended when while on the job, someone was going to be taken hostage by a criminal he and the other cops were after, but Leonard couldn't let someone else be taken a hostage. He had let the criminal take him instead. Then there he was. Driven away with a criminal as a hostage, beaten up and then thrown out onto the road, left to bleed out and die.
Now he's here.
It took Leonard a moment to relax himself. He remembers exactly how it felt. Though it was awful to be dead, he wasn't exactly loving life. In his last moments, he already knew what was going to happen. He had to just accept his fate. Looking at the people next to him, Leonard let out an agitated sigh and stood up from his chair. "I'm ready to get on with this." Leonard spoke with a thick German accent as he looked at the items. Once he had a look around at the five items in front of them, Leonard reached over for the torch and picked it up. He wasn't sure what it was they were going to be doing here, but he would manage. At least he hoped so.

Mikey covered his eyes as he was blinded by the stage lights. They were hot, like the sun, which made Mikey extremely uncomfortable. He looked out at the wild crowd, and their intense screams made Mikey's ears ring. He then looked at the other contestants, he didn't seem to recognize any of them, accept Leonard.
Mikey listened carefully to the news The Showmaster has given them. He was completely shocked at the fact he was dead. Now Mikey was shaking nervously, hot, his ears were ringing, AND DEAD. Mikey tried his best to remember, then he suddenly did.
He remembered the quick and easy way he died. He was working on the job, it was seeming to go as normally, until he realized there was another person in the room, who was armed. Just after Mikey shot his target, he then by surprise was shot through the back of his head. The next thing he felt was horrible pain and then he woke up in this hell.
He looked at the items in front of him, and one item seemed to catch his eye. The knife, made out of the unknown, white metal. The knife seemed to be very sharp, and Mikey thought he could use it to kill something later on in this 'show.' "I guess that's what I'm going with..." Mikey mumbled to himself, reaching out for the knife. He just wanted to get on with this already.

As the bright lights came on, Tyler covered his eyes also. He heard the insane screaming of the crowd around him, and he squinted around at the huge number of people. The last thing he remembered was hanging down into a dark cave, in a harness. He had no idea how high above the rock floor he was, but the next thing he knew, he was falling. Either someone had cut the rope, or it had snapped. He fell all the way down, spinning out of control and screaming as the wind whipped past him. He couldn't even see the ground, so he figured that when he woke up here that he must have hit. Wonderful. His eyes adjusted to the lights, and he stood up, following the voice's orders to pick up an item. The knife and torch had already been taken, so he chose the book. He thought he recognised some of the symbols, but on closer inspection, he realized that he had no idea what they were. He picked the book up, and made his way back to his seat.
