Heroes
The Exemplars
Halcyon City's premiere Super Hero organization since the Silver Age. They have members serving through out the City, the world and even a handful protect Earth at a Cosmic level.
Huma (Dalir Attar) (work in progress)
Huma has been a mainstay hero of Halcyon City for the past 60 years. There have been three Humas and a fourth will soon take the mantle.
Huma has, in one way or another, protected the city too many times to count, from stopping alien invasions to standing firm against non-superhuman threats like civil injustices. The legacy is viewed as noble, honored, and impressive city-wide.
Father of the modern, young Huma. Currently still active. Think
“Superman”. Leader of the Exemplars, endorser of the Future Exemplars, enemy of Rook.
Huma Senior is the leader of the Exemplars, Halcyon City’s pre-eminent superhero team, and one of the most impressive superheroes Halcyon City has ever seen.
Mantis (work in progress)
Mantis was a vigilante with a powerful mechanical suit of armor. Mantis was well-known for working on her own, showing up where she was most needed and saving lives.
Armored vigilante and mentor of Hornet. Nobody (except for maybe Hornet, and definitely NOT Huma) actually knows who Mantis is under the armor. (Canoncially, Mantis uses feminine identifiers; let Hornet fill in the details of Mantis if necessary.) More focused on city-level crime than the crazy cosmic stuff, but technically a member of the Exemplars.
The Challengers
An affiliate of the Exemplars, the Challenger's primary focus is on Silverport, a borough of Halcyon City that sees enough trouble to have a team on call (Especially the neighborhood by the docks known as The Grime).
