Needs a name but yea. People want a school to go to and I've got a bit of an idea.
~Two years before Issue #0 (When our team first came together) a villain used an energy drink to target specific genetic markers in people that caused low level powers in youths (and some older folks, but way less).
This was hardly the first time accidents and exposure to unknown substances has caused innocent people to gain powers, but never something so devious and targeted.
This school that will be semi-central to our game will be on an add campaign of accepting new students who've been caught up this most recent incident, as the only school in the area capable of dealing with their special needs. (There's probably a core of teachers who honestly believe this, but the board just wants $$$$)
It's probably a private school. Which works for Jeff. But it's really important that this isn't a "School for Super Heroes" as the last few times those have started up have ended tragically. They won't condone super powered brawls and such if such incidents go public, and they certainly don't want to know that their students are vigilantes or worse.
Besides, as I said, most kids who got powers from that drink developed very minor abilities. X-Ray vision, changing tv stations by blinking, hovering in place etc.

Your new social worker, who totally doesn't work for a government agency, has falsified your information so that you can attend this school. He/she thinks it'll be a good chance for you to feel like normal teens and maybe even make friends. So long as you do your best not to display your powers at school and make his job hell.
