Mentor

EMBODIES Superior
DENIES Mundane
Protégé Moves
(Choose three)
❑ Been reading the files: You’ve learned about the superhuman world through your mentor’s resources. When you first encounter an important
superpowered phenomenon (your call), roll + Superior. On a hit, tell the team one important detail you’ve learned from your studies. The GM will tell you what, if anything, seems different from what you remember. On a 10+, ask the GM a follow-up question; they will answer it honestly. On a miss, the situation is well outside your base of knowledge; the GM will tell you why.
❑ Venting frustration: When you directly engage while you are Angry, you can roll + the Label your mentor denies and clear Angry.
❑ Be mindful of your surroundings: When you assess the situation before entering into a fight, you may ask one additional question, even on a miss.
Mentor’s Resources
Choose up to three resources that your mentor gave you and the team:
Communicators, A hidden base, Security systems
Backstory
• How did you first meet your mentor?
From what he told me, Dreadnought was in Moscow hunting an asshole who fled his team after a weapons deal went sideways. He kind of blew a hole in the side of mother's house. Debris everywhere, and when the smoke cleared, a somewhat man was rubbing his head, saying something I couldn't much understand. He laughed to himself and ran off, leaving us alone in the frigid Russian wind.
• When and why did you choose to train with them?
My father was a determined man, after reading the news and discovering who the man was that had destroyed out home, we packed up and moved to America, eventually finding his sponsor and demanding they repay us hardships. Heroes apparently aren't made of money, and he saw a fresh meta. He offered to train me as payment, probably expecting me to back down.
• Why did they agree to train you?
To get my father off his ass. Sure, he's intimidating, but a pissed off Russian trying to make good for his family is right persistent.
• Who else, outside of the team, knows about your training?
• Why do you care about the team?
Relationships
Me and Bubbles teamed up a few times before the rest of you came together.
My mentor is cautious; they asked you to keep an eye on the Swan Siblings.
Grey Fox has some raw talent, but they desperately need my training.
Jeff is a loose cannon; I will ensure they don’t get out of line.
Influence
Choose your demeanor: playful or business.
If you choose playful, give Influence to two teammates.
