Scripture forgets that gods, though impervious to mortal methods of injury, can still be harmed. And recovery can take a long, long time. Be ye god or man.

Thus was the case with Ryduvu, once he was returned to his realm. He laid safely in his palace for months after his first act in the world.

Long did he lay in his chambers, tossing and turning...

But then, he roused. His eyes opened to the walls of his private chambers, the elegant network of silver and gold filigree he had worked into solid metal walls though hours of shaping it with his affinity. The carefully constructed metal sconces on the wall housed forgefire that lit the room itself, never to be extinguished so long as the God of Smith's existed.

He tossed aside the blanket he was wrapped in, and slipped to his feet. His mind was curious as to what happened while he was unconscious.

Ryduvu clad himself in a new set of worker's robes in his favorite shade of turquoise, and advanced through his palace to the main hall. The place was made of polished sheets of metal the same coloration as Ryduvu's skin, decorated in stripes of his feral cat body. He moved to the backless throne and sat upon it, curling his feral form upon itself. Before him, at the foot of a grand dais, sat a massive silver brazier, shaped like most elegant forge. Within it, blazed a white hot forge-fire. Ryduvu gazed into it, and spake, "Show to me what has become of the world." And he looked upon the world, and a wide smile spread over the face of the forge god. Greenery was spreading, tiny lives where moving, the winds stirred the lands and the waters. He was pleased with this. He looked deeper, and saw the new realm that Letala and Starvanic where building together, this also pleased him, but he could not see all that that place, so he resolved to go there himself.
