Why not create a IC topic for each town/city? Plus maybe even a few topics for the roads between? It would certainly save on clutter, since the world is so big. Especially given the fact that people can play varying major roles in this role play, it would certainly help keep the group clean and easy to follow.
That would make things more complicated too. I mean, think about it, if the roleplay was underway and all of the cities are in seperate forums, what would anyone do if they wanted to travel or make a town part of another towns setting? Probably for the best to keep the roleplay as one unified forum.

yeah that would make it much less complicated if it was unified
Not really. I say this from experience, having multiple IC threads work well. I mean, in what situation would the threads of two cities need to be combined? I mean, of course it wouldn't have to be city by city. Of course if it's easier have it area by area. (Say, desert areas, plains, etc) But I know that I get easily confused when one person is having a conversation with another, and then that conversation is broken up into segments by someone else having a completely unrelated conversation. It's jarring and worst of all completely immersion breaking.
what if we had them separated by area, and then we have like a forest thread that is kinda like a combination of it? like a path? that way if one person want's to travel they can go into that forum and do it?

i dunno. i'm still tryna come up with something. though it's 7:00 am and im still waking up T-T
Well if anyone thinks each city is too much, than areas is fine by me.

Quick side note- by no means am I trying to take over or undermine anyone's work. I just know what does and doesn't work, and I think you can all learn by the way this all worked out last time. A lot of the fighting could have been avoided simply by having more than spot to post. Because of course when everyone is posting in the one spot, there's nothing to separate scenes.
Personally I rather try to keep things unified, but it does have it's share of problems of people either being impatient, waiting for certain people to post. Splitting certain scenes up when people posts does alleviate this problem, but then a problem is bound to arise on the story flowing into multiple directions that it'll be harder to keep up. Of course, you have a rule that people MUST do a small summary on what their characters are doing in the story, so that everyone doesn't have to read the entirely of what they did if they're need to post.

I am being pretty lax here that my brain isn't being super sharp right now... Honestly whatever you try to implement here, I promise to do my best to make the story as good and interesting as it could get...as well as to make character interaction to be an enjoying experience...
Well, the 5 sentence minimum rule is to prevent posts that look like this:

"Sally walked into the room and sat down. She glanced at you and looked away."

Post that are short like are one of my biggest pet peeves, because I like to write many paragraphs when I can, and getting responses like that make it unenjoyable for me as well as it just makes me lose interest faster than they can type their two sentences because it gives me nothing to respond to and it's almost infuriating of it looks like I'm putting so much effort into it and their not. I know it's not always the case, but it still bothers me when it looks like there's no effort being put in a post :/

Yeah, same here. This has been a very huge pet peeve of mines lately as it basically shows me that my efforts in RP'ing is being wasted...along with not being appreciated... I do have "SOME" tolerance, but too much one-liners bores me incredibly fast that I just ended up closing the story prematurely...this actually happened once, which is something that still surprised me to this day, but when an 1x1 RP has basically 80% of your partner's responses being one-liners it just really does frustrates you, like you said, Animelover...

Of course you've seen my craft before on a few occasions, so you know that I'll still gonna do my best to entertain you and everyone here.
So maybe I can make 4 different forums? North, south, east and west??
If you must, I have no objections to the idea.

From those four, I'm going to start from the east. I saw the map of the world, and personally I would like my Kingdom of Alexcia to start on either the north (Top-Nung) or the south (Tamak Islands). Of course I don't mind if I should start just about anywhere, or that my kingdom doesn't start at a very specific seed (Or even exist at all).

I guess right now I'm kinda itching to start the RP whenever it's ready.
i'd like to see what everyone else thinks of the idea, but im also itching to start the rp!
I have no objections to the idea, if it helps keep things more organised for everyone I'm ok with it
I'm all for organization that way it's easier to grasp where the rp is happening and when, as well as where, my character is at a certain time. :)
okie! I might leave it semi vauge since idk what kind of village or place everyone will be at. though we DO need the main kingdom. the one with the evil king. That's a must and possibly a separate forum on its own
That's fine by me. Also a question, Animelover. Vermillion's (And Viviana's) race and being a Homunculus, are you going to be okay with that? Or do you want me to change it to be like normal humans (But they can still use magic)?
I guess it's ok? Honestly it's been awhile and I'd forgotten about that, but I don't see it being a problem so ling as everyone else is ok with it
Well this is the very first time you've met this variation of Vermillion. Don't worry too much about it though as he's pretty similar to the modern day Vermillion. My concern is kinda seeing if everyone is going to be okay with this because this is a rather...high fantasy quirk...meaning that it does have a bit of a hard time fitting into a more "generic" setting of medieval fantasy since it's more out of place... Still I promise not to go crazy with this or Alexcia in general; especially in combat, but even Vermillion has a few weaknesses to not make him overpowered.
I'm itching to start the Rp now
