I'm hoping my hail can go to stage two once lillm has came back into the town (it may be a snowstorm maybe not."
And lets not forget poor Vermilion and Vivilana. They're still in the forest too.

Yeah... Hail kinda sucks when trying to tranverse a forest...makes it harder to get through without getting injured...
Lynken, maybe we can dial it back so it's not hail....? at least until the others get to the village....
My idea of stage two you can agree which one I choose
1: the hail turns into spikes of ice that stab through things.
2:they turn into explosive ice grenades exploding into spikes of ice (note they are motion activated to make it fair)
3: all of the above but with lightning and thunder.
4: just no phase two at all

Ok what about snow?
snow is fine, but hail is gonna make it harder for everyone else to travel....and if those are our only options id rather have no phase two at all..
I hate to sound like I'm speaking for Merry, but I think snow is bad enough for her. Last I remember IC, she doesn't do well in the cold at all.
Personally though, I wouldn't mind if there was a 3 stage part to Lynkens "ice terrain" as I'm going to nickname it.
Stage 1, a gentle snow.
Stage 2, small hail stones.
Stage 3, dormant motion sinsitive ice mines that... basically do this.
To be fair!!!
The mines can stay dormant up to 3 days before they have to dissipate due to being melted by normal temperatures. I think that's rather generous for such an overpowered skill... Would you not agree?

Lilim's not wrong though... IC, Merry doesn't do well in the cold. The presence of snow is going to have her curled up, shivering, and having her magic weakened...
Cold water Merry can deal with, but ice and snow? Not so much... v.v

It also doesn't help that they're in a village of witche's, where fire is almost nonexistant or forbidden given what it does to them.
