Will had indeed made it to town, but wasn't able to enter as his legs gave out and he rolled off the path, grunting and hissing in pain as his wounded arm hit the ground. He laid in the grass and looked up at the sky, chuckling to himself. After everything he'd been through, only to be killed via a now infected flesh wound,
Will thought it was kinda funny. He could hear hooves beating on the ground, coming his way. Will made no attempt to move, weak and pale. While he was a powerful warlord, and even with his magic and strange heritage he had little knowledge of, he was still human, and blood was a needed thing. Plus, not many people this way would be kind enough to help him, but rather kill him and get the reward. Although being next to a town, there was some hope as Will slowly closed his eyes.

Lilim and Elesa look to Raven in surprise, not expecting a yoing lady to have opened the door, "Uh... Sorry for appearing out of nowhere like this, Miss... My little sister and I were just passing through and I was hoping you could help us out with something." she explains as Raven invites them in. Lilim looks to Elesa and Elesa looks back at Lilim, the two slowly proceeding inside and closing the door behind them.
Lilim looks to the woman that had just previously been surrounded by knives and slowly moves Elesa behind her, wanting Elesa to be safe in case of a fight. "Um... Ma'am, if you're busy already, we can find someone else to help us out... We don't want to be a burden to you." Lilim says with a quick shift of her tail, draping the heart shaped end of it just beside her left arm.
Elesa wasn't sure what to think, but scoots behind Lilim as she was gestured to get to safety behind her. She looks worriedly between the woman that had answered the door and the woman that had just been freed from being surrounded by knives, worried that there was something else going on that Lilim and Elesa had likely stopped when they arrived. Elesa would shiver slightly as she let her imagination run for a moment, clinging to the tail of Lilims gown to keep her grip on reality and let Lilim handle the talking.

Raven can hear Lilim close the door behind her, and she returns to her book, glancing at it for a moment before looking up, only to see Lilim usher Elesa behind her as the two of them gave her uneasy looks. A look of annoyance spread across her face, as she hated it when people jumped to conclusions. Though given the initial impression of the pair, it was reasonable to suspect that the older one was protecting the younger one, especially after what they just saw, but it still annoyed her all the same. Her eyes turned black once more as she spoke to Crow, annoyance in her voice as she spoke.
"Hey, Crow? Am I right in my understanding about what has happened tonight?? Someone sent this assassin to my home? Then she sneaks into our sacred meeting, sneaks into my home, and threatens to kill me if I didn't comply to her request?? Only to hear knocking at my door, and in an attempt to make sure she didn't kill me while my back was turned I had her surrounded by knives? Then I invite these two strangers into my home so I could help them, only for them to shy away from me and treat me like I'm the killer?!"
"Sounds about right. This is why I hated people in my past life..."
"Hehehe!! This exact reason??"
"Ok. Maybe not this EXACT reason, but still...you know what I mean!!"
"Yes, I know what you mean. Honestly..."
She says, the aggravation evident in her voice. She didn't like it when people jumped to conclusions about her, especially given she had just invited these two strangers into her home so she could help them, given Lilim was obviously weak. She had relayed everything that happened in the hopes that it would get her point across, as well as let them know that it was actually the other woman that the two of them probably needed to worry about, before bringing her attention back to her book. She continues to flip through the pages, before finally stopping and reading it to herself in a low whisper. Once she had all the ingredients in mind, she would clap her hands together, and jars would fly off their shelves and slowly levitate their way onto the table by the cauldron as Raven walked over and started prepping to make yet another concoction.

Kasa stands straight as she is suddenly surrounded by knives, her eyes widening at the sight momentarily before realising it was a simple defensive maneuver, "covering her arse", so to speak. As the girl addresses the door, Kasa pulls out a small black oblisk-shaped object. It's black and has a pointed top, with indescribable markings along the sides that glow a feint red. She goes to do something with it, but quickly slides it back into her pocket before the witch could turn and see it.
She leans against the wall with her arms crossed, watching the young witch and the other two with a serious, "business" face as the knifes are taken out of the air one by one. "Was that honestly necessary, dear?" She says, keeping a straight face. Though her light leather armour, accentuated by metal strips and other light atmourings, certainly does not look inviting, anyone would be forgiven if they were to assume she was an assassin in any right.
She slowly struts over to the two guests who had just entered, at first intending to just inspect them, but the magical energies that eminate from the larger one seems to draw her in more than she intended. "My my, what might you be?" She says with a cynical smirk, slowly waltzing behind the woman. She leans down, almost creepily bringing her face to the woman's neck, silently smelling her skin as she stares over at the witch as she does what she does. "Need a feed?" She whispers with a smirk, "I have a shack up by the Bainolie river. Meet me there before two days pass." She moves away silently and moves over to the door. "Think about my proposal, witch." She says over her shoulder as she stabs a small knife into the wood, pinning a small exotic piece of fabric in place.
"Remember witch, we will be watching you." She says with a wink before pulling the door open and leaving.

Lorsch desperately flew over the forest, attempting to stay far ahead of the Theseans. His eyes rapidly scanned the land for a semblance of a village, to no avail. His muscles burned, but he didn't care; he had no desire to see an innocent die tonight, especially due to his incompetence.
Past the growing haze in his eyes, he saw a light in the distance. As he drew nearer, he identified the light to be a village. Sighing in relief, the druid sped forward over the road, being nothing but a gold flash to those beneath. He landed on the roof of a small hut and started to draw attention to himself.
He shrieked at the top of his lungs to get the witches below to pay attention and stir any that slept. The witches drew closer and started shouting at the bird that woke them - just as planned. Lorsch's hawk form suddenly collapsed into a pile of sand that fell to the ground and distorting and convulsing into his gnoll form moments afterwards. He took a small amount of pride in seeing beings such as witches in shock, however now was not the time for that.
"Witches of Wellspring!" he boomed "Deep in the forest, the Theseans draw near with the intent of killing you all and burning this coven to the ground. Any capable fighters amongst you are strongly advised to prepare defences and brace for an assault!"
Lorsch was never a man of words, though he hoped the direct "to the point" approach would motivate the witches enough to move them to action.

Lilim hovers perfectly still as Raven and Kasa speak, doing her best to keep herself between Elesa and Kasa as Kasa moves to smell Lilim's neck. She'd have thought the gesture really romantic had she trusted Kasa at all. And then there was Ravens comment about them treating her like the assassin when it was the other girl that was the invader. Lilims eyes would narrow and start to glow red as her attempt at being polite in a very threatening situation was taken as Lilim being the rude one.
She calmed a bit when Kasa left, the last of her burning red glare fading as the accused assassin swaggered out the door and left Lilim and Elesa alone with Raven and Crow. "To my own point... Ma'am... I was trying to be polite." Lilim growls through gritted teeth, "I'm a Succubus and I'm running low on magic power. I came to your home tonight to ask if you, the strongest magic user in this village, could spare some Life Force so I can recharge. I didn't come to threaten your life, nor did I come to be so blatently insulted for trying to protect my sister from a pair of beings that were making combative gestures at each other. So forgive me if I come off as aggressive and accusitive based solely on the visuals of what I walked in on." she growls defensively.
Lilim would then turn and pick Elesa up, "You've obviously got your hands full, so as politely as I possibly still can after being verbally struck like that, I retract my request. I'll find someone else to ask for help. Thanks anyway. Goodbye." she says as she turns and hugs Elesa close in a protective embrace, hovering back toward the door.
She'd stop when she got her hand on the door knob, sighing calmly, "You know... I've only ever seen a few witches in my time on this planet... And all but a select few had green skin, long hooked noses, and more warts than anyone cared to count... And before you take that as an insult take a look in your bathroom mirror. For a witch... You're actually very beautiful... For what that attempt at a last complement is worth..." she says quietly before turning the door handle and starting to leave.

Kasa barely got to the edge of the village before hearing a man yelling out, talking about defending this village, which of course could make associating with the young witch a troubling task. But, nevertheless, the protection of this village was the last thing on her mind- especially if it meant a few less witches she would be contracted to kill later down the line.
She heads North towards the river that divides the forest, towards a small abandoned hut that she repurposed as a base of operations for the moment. It wasn't anything fancy, but it had four walls and a roof, and was mostly hidden away from sight, so it would do for now.

"Yes, it was. After all you came here to kill me...I can't exactly trust you, can I??"
She says to Kasa. She didn't pay much mind to Kasa's comment to Lilim, after all their business was there's. Though when she heard something stab into her wall, she looked up to find a knife keeping in place a piece of fabric, glancing between it and Kasa before watching her walk out. She sighs as she approaches it and takes the fabric off the knife, before going to a vial and placing it inside, securing it with a lid. She turns to Lilim, only to be barked at as Lilim came across as aggressive, and it was starting to get on her nerves a bit. However, once she explained herself, she couldn't help but feel a bit embarrassed. She sighs as Lilim goes towards the door, her face turning red at the compliment, and she snaps her fingers to lock the door so they couldn't leave, not to harm them, but to give herself a chance to apologize.
"Look, I'm sorry that I was so harsh...that woman was sent her to murder me, and I didn't feel comfortable with her seeing the softer side of me...She's forcing me to do a favor for her. In return shes going to spare my life, but I barely have the time to fulfill her request because one of my sister in arms was taken to the kingdom of Thesea, and I need to go rescue her before they decide to burn her at the stake....so please understand why it upset me to have the two of you guys look at me like I'm the murder, especially given everything else that is going on.....However....I invited you into my home to help you, and that's what I want to do, if you aren't to disgusted by me to deny my offer....you can take a seat at the table over there and we can talk more about it-!!"
She says, only to be interrupted by what sounded like a crowd growing outside of her home. She stares at her door curiously, brow furrowed as she gripped her staff. "Witches of Wellspring!bDeep in the forest, the Theseans draw near with the intent of killing you all and burning this coven to the ground. Any capable fighters amongst you are strongly advised to prepare defences and brace for an assault!" She heard from outside, and almost instantly her eye twitched out of sheer frustration. She needed to go save her sister in arms, she needed to locate this vampire, help the succubus, and now brace for an attack? She was close to losing her temper, but kept it together, if only to maintain an image of composure in front of the child that stood in her home. She took a deep breath and snapped her fingers, which unlocked the door before she headed outside. She approached Lorsch, her glare deep as she stared into his eyes with her own, like she was searching for something. After a minute her eyes widened briefly, before the Queen of witches, Raven's mother, approached her from behind and placed a hand on Raven's shoulder.
"Why do you look so surprised dear? We knew this was coming."
"Yes, but if they are on their way, then Penelope may already be dead and I could be headed into a trap..."
"So what do we do??"'
"I say we evacuate the village. Get the children and elderly somewhere safe. Perhaps the coven's meeting room. We keep our strongest here and ready to fight. With the exception of Your Ladyship. You too must flee to safety. I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if anything happened to you..."

Merry and Glitter grew closer to the man as he seemed to collapse and appeared to be trying to hide in the grass just outside of a village. Merry jumped off of Glitter's back and hurried to the man's side, lowering herself to her knees as he drifts into unconsciousness.
The Forest Elf would set to work right away, using her Healing Aura to surround the man in a glowing green mist. Glitter would keep watch as Merry worked, and quickly sensed way too many people and too much commotion for his liking, "Merry... I fear this location might not remain safe for long. I'll use my power to carry him. Lets get back to the others before someone else spots us." the Unicorn says calmly. Merry nods her head slowly, "Agreed... There's no need to cause more of a stir... Lets-" she says before gasping at the screech of a bird, followed quickly by a warning to the village that soldiers were on route to attack them.
Glitter looks to the barking druid and then back to Merry, "What will you have us do? Are we to take this wounded one and flee while we are yet unnoticed?... Or would you agree that we should offer our help in protecting this village from those that wish harm on others?" he asks in a calm monotone. Merry faces Glitter with a frown, "I know we can't just do nothing... Let's get back to the others. We'll give this man a proper place to stay out of harms way and come back with everyone. We can surely offer our aid to these people in some way." Merry says before standing and moving to mount up again. Glitter would use his magic to pick Will up and carry him alongside them, Merry keeping up her work with her Healing aura the whole way back to the river so that they could rendezvous with Organna, Pixel, and Moonlight. If they were going to do anything for the village, it would be as a team.

Glad to see his plan had worked, Lorsch turned to the witches' leader and who he assumed was her daughter. "I agree with the raven-haired mistress Your Ladyship, the Theseans are brutal in nature and will not spare a moment to consider their lives. If this meeting room is as hidden as implied, it will be the safest place for them."
Lorsch surveyed his surroundings as he finished his statement, looking for any defensible areas or vantage points for ranged attackers. The trees were definitely going to be of use, provided the witches were competent at climbing or teleportation; many a man would succumb to a blast from that height. He also noted a lack of any walls, which would be highly valued in a defensive battle.
He turned once again to the witches' queen, "If I may, I could improve this coven's defences by the time the soldiers arrive. Though this would drain my abilities significantly and I would not be able to provide any extra support for a long while. I shall leave the decision up to you as this village's leader."

Will made no hesitation to resist anything, but did manage to hear about the soldiers coming to the down. When Glitter lifted him up, a katana showed from underneath his coat, the pommel a crow talon made of steel and crow feathers on the sheath, leading up to a skull on the end of it.
While Merry's healing was very helpful, it actually kick-started his own healing factor, the two combined healing him quickly. He started to wake up half way to the river and looked around at the elf and unicorn.

Kasa sits in her little shack, sitting on an old beat up chair, staring deep into this small, black obelisk-like object she had in her pocket,. The red writing seems to emanate and glow, pulsating with an inherently evil, dark energy.
"Thy r'luhhnythogg bugnah mglw'nafh paht, Kasa"
a voiceless murmur echoes from the object, talking to Kasa through some ancient language.
"Yes, I know." her voice agitated, sharp.
"Ymg' ah ya hnah mgep ymg' fulfil ya plead" The voice appears to be agitated, upset even.
"Fine! you don't have to remind me... just, put the ward up."
"l' h' ahor ah"
"Thank you." she calms down a bit more and places the object back in her pocket, shortly after the shack emanates a dark, dark blue hue, almost as if the shack had been enveloped by the void itself. Though only briefly as the voided colour fades away once more.

Lilim starts to push the door open when Raven suddenly snapped and caused a dead bolt to latch into place, standing still as she listens and then turns to look to Raven again, this time not with a defensive scowl, but a soft and forgiving smile. She was sbout to say something to Raven when all the commotion started. She moves and lets Raven by, kneeling to let Elesa down and the two of them would follow behind Raven after a few seconds.
The two of them draw close again just in time to hear the plans for the elderly and children to be evacuated to a safe location while the able bodied stay to set up defenses, "Maybe we could help too. I've got a lot of experience in more than one way of dealing with humans, so if you'll accept my aid, I'll fight for the village as well." she says calmly, giving a warm smile to Raven, "Call it... Repaying a debt to a new friend. My name's Lilim, by the way. We never got the chance to introduce ourselves before. And this bundle of love is my little sister, Elesa."
Elesa looks around at everyone and hears Lilim introduce her, giving a polite bow of her head, "Um... H-hello." she mutters cutely. Lilim would giggle and shift her tail a bit, the length of flesh surely giving away what Lilim was if not her name giving away exactly who she was, if any of them were familiar with early Christian mythology.

Raven looks between Lorsch and Lilim, her eyes wide as they both offered to help her save the people in her village. She hadn't expected such a request, especially from strangers. She turns to Her Ladyship with a knowing look on her face, and Her Ladyship nods at her. It would seem that the two of them had the same idea. Raven would close her eyes and hold her hands out in front of her, and slowly all the witch's would be surrounded in a small, harmless sphere, a sphere per witch. Slowly they would hover off the ground and start moving, separating themselves into three groups. The first group was filled with the elderly and children, the second filled with the witch's that were stronger in healing magic, and the third group filled with those stronger in defense and attack magic. Once the groups were separated, Her Ladyship would turn to the crowd and address them.
"My people! It seems that the warning bears truth, and we will soon be under attack! And it is in my decision that the majority of us evacuate to the coven's meeting room! Group B, you will take the elderly and children, keeping them safe from the soldiers should they somehow get into the coven's room! Group C, you will fight alongside us to defend our village! Prepare yourselves!"
With her orders, the two groups would start disappearing, like teleporting, as they all went into the coven's meeting room, which was inaccessible to anyone who wasn't a witch, unless they had assistance. With that said, Raven would watch as the last group rushed towards their homes to grab their weapons and potions, preparing themselves to fight. Once the crowd was gone, she would turn to both Lorsch and Lilim, giving them both a nod of apprecition.
"Thank you....It seems like we may need all the help we can get..."
"Indeed...."
Her Ladyship says, turning to look at Lorsch. She had recognized Lilim, but given their current situation, she would leave it a secret for now, and inquire what she was doing in her daughter's home later. She would look at Lorsch, questions still lingering that needed to be answered.
"Tell me...how much time do you think we have left? And what kind of weapons are they bringing?"

As Raven, her fellow witches, and the others prepare for war with the Theseans that were hunting them down. Vermillion and Viviana arrives into the forest as they quickly made their way to find the fire that has broken out there. While they were running, they noticed and seen plenty of forest animals running away in fear of the fire up ahead.
"Those poor forest animals...I pray that they'll be okay, and that none of them dies..." said Viviana
"I can't blame you as you're attuned to nature given that you were blessed to use nature magic, it's only natural that you care for the animals that live here." said Vermillion
"Well I like mostly all animals in general...just so as long as they aren't dangerous..." said Viviana
"True... Also we can use the fleeing animals here as a means to locating the fire quickly. I don't know if there's going to be a water source nearby, so I'll be the only one that can even remotely stop the fire thanks to my fire magic abilities that will allow me to absorb the fire into myself." said Vermillion
"You're right... If only I have the ability to use water magic to help you..." said Viviana
"It's fine, just do what you can. Meanwhile I'll stop this fire from spreading out any farther." said Vermillion
"Right!" said Viviana
Vermillion and Viviana soon arrived at the site where the fire is as Vermillion gets started right away by absorbing the flames into his body to neutralize them through his fire magic abilities. Meanwhile Viviana heads on out, away from the fire, to try and find any source of water that she can use to help put out the fire. She hopes to find a river or pond somewhere close by, but hopefully not too far away from the fire.

"I saw about thirty men in general. Their weapons weren't too impressive, just some torches and swords and lastly..." Lorsch pointed to behind the witches towards a large column of smoke, "judging by that smoke, they'll be here in an hour or so."
Lorsch turned towards the village outskirts, "With that being said, I should begin work on the defences. May Kuthras guide you to victory." He walked to the village's outskirts and sat. He started rapidly chanting something under this breath, the earth underneath him becoming increasingly sand-like. He progressively got louder until his eyes glowed a bright golden colour, causing him to stand and hold a stance. He moved his arms quickly in a forward u-shape and the earth below rose to become spiked walls, jutting outwards on a slant towards the forest.
He continued this process around the rest of the village, becoming increasingly fatigued as he did so. Once the last wall was in place, he made a gateway so that the witches could leave should they need to. He took deep breaths of exhaustion and made his way back into the village looking for a moment's respite before the attack.

Merry could sense her patient coming to, reaching to place a hand gently on his chest. She was unsure what he'd try to do when he got his senses back, but as Glitter levitated him, Merry would try her best to keep him calm. He seemed peaceful enough, so Merry treated him with a gentle touch and a warm smile offered. Suddenly, Glitter would stop and cast his gaze to the Southwest, which made Merry gasp and move to steady herself, "Is everything ok, Glitter?" she asks in a gentle but worried tone.
Glitter would stand perfectly still for several seconds, "I smell smoke... We need to get back to the others right away. I fear the aggressors are setting the forest on fire around them. To be safe, when we get back to them, you and Pixel should summon the Wishers Rain. Better to take away the all consuming fire from the attackers than to watch another home thoroughly burn as ours did. Agreed, Merry?" Glitter asks in his usual calm monotone.
Merry would nod in agreement without hesitation, "Agreed. And we should get our friend here to safety as well so he can get some much needed rest." she says before turning her attention back to Will, "Try not to worry... I've treated your wounds with my magic. We'll get you to a safe place so you can rest easier." she says to him in a soft tone.

Will looked at the two and wondered what was going on. He smelled the smoke, which in turn with what he heard about the soldiers, Will pieced together what was happening. He looked at the elf telling him about his wounds being healed and he rolled his sleeve up to see what bit of skin was still gone regrow itself and self heal until it was fully healed. He looked at the elf. "I'm fine, I've had worse. But if there are soldier coming, then that town back there needs some help against the Thesean's." Will told the elf.
Thunk!!
A knife stabs into the wooden door of the shack, a sign that The old league has come to you. Kada sighs a little, looking over to the door from where she sits. "Come in." She shouts from her perch, waiting to see who has come to see her.
A hooded girl walks in, a mask covers her mouth and nose, exposing only her eyes. She has padded leather armour on with a gold-coloured design. She walks in slowly, leaning against the wall off to the side.
"What are you doing, Kasa?" She says with her arms crossed. "You're going to piss off our employer like this." Her words are slightly muffled from behind her mask as she plays with a small knife in her hand.
"Two hundred gold. I have killed lesser beings for far more than a measly two hundred gold." She looks to the side dismissively, her arms crossed two, she places one leg over the other and starts to flick her foot slowly, clearly agitated over the subject.
"I get that, but remember what happened last time? They got angry and started killing people, and then we had to clean up your mess. We are a secret organization, you would do well to remember that."
"I know, Leana. So tell that scum bag to pay me more gold and might do it quicker." She pulls out a small waterskin as she finishes this, taking a small drink from it's flask.
"Don't blow this, Kasa. I know you're a good huntress, but this goes beyond your go." The woman turns on her heel and walks off towards the door. "Oh, and remember. We're always watching." She nods at Kasa before pushing open the door and walking out...

Merry nods as she reaches for the man's hand, gently pulling him onto Glitter's back, "That's what we're going to do. But there's only so much we can do without all of our options open." she says calmly. Glitter feels Merry shift and raises the man to help Merry get him out of the gurney carry and up onto the powerful equines back. "Also be informed, good sir, that Merry and I come from a former forest that was burned to the ground some time ago. We'd rather not see another forest be turned into such a wasteland by another flame. Let us get back to our friends and call the rains, then we will certainly return to that village and help out as best we can. We have every intent to go back, but we can do far more when we are all together, for that is when we are at our best." Glitter says in a sagely monotone.
It was a short ride back to the campsite and by that time, Organna had rejoined the group and Pixel had informed her of everything. The Orc was the first to come to Merry and Glitter as they came into view of the river again, "There you guys are!! Do you have any idea how worried we were?... Wait a sec, who are you?" the Orc asks curiously, her gaze shifting from Merry to Will. She didn't seem hostile, parsay, but a 7 foot tall Orc Warrioress held a certain degree of natural intimidation that just stuck around.
Merry slowly climbs off of Glitter, "I'm sorry, Organna... But we've got a bit more trouble than we bargained for now. The forest is on fire, and there are soldiers closing in on a nearby village. First thing to do is stop the fire... Pixel, come into the water with me. We need to use our Wishers Rain combo. Organna, help our friend there to a safe place to rest, please. I just got him healed up and promised him we'd give him a safe place to relax for the night." Merry says in a gentle tone. The lot of them have been saying each others names on and off now, so Will probably caught all of their names somewhere during the conversations if he paid attention.
Pixel would flutter over to Merry's shoulder and let Merry walk out into the water, the pair bringing their hands up in front of their chests, seeming to be starting to pray and gave a section of the river a soft blue glow, "Mother Gaia, your humble Priestess calls to you this night, bless these lands with your clensing waters, and smother the flames of destruction that threaten this forest." Merry says in a soft tone, Pixel bolstering and amplifying Merry's prayer with her own magic. The two then began to speak together, "Goddess Gaia, secret combination technique... Wishers Rain."
As the pair finish their chant, the river begins to glow brightly in a soft blue, the glow traveling up and down the river to stretch all along its length, dark rain clouds beginning to form overhead and quickly beginning to grow in the night sky. Finally, there would come a blanket of a downpour, quickly covering the Northern Forest in its entirety in blanketing waves of heavy rain. The smoke from the blaze would begin to fade as the rains came down on the flames and began to thoroughly extinguish even the torches the soldiers carried, but more importantly, the rain quickly did away with the threat of the forest fire. It didn't solve the fire problem all at once, but it solved things quickly enough.
Merry turns to face the others and offers a soft, innocent smile, "That should solve the Forest Fire problem. We can head for the village again." she says as she carries Pixel against her chest, shielding the tiny fairy from the downpour.
