I couldn’t answer, for I was overcome with grief. So I just shook my head.
I understood almost immediately, and fell to my knees. I cried while Steve just stood there, overwhelmed.
If I told you this was only going to hurt.
If I warned you that the fire’s gonna burn.
Would you walk in?
Would you let me do it first?
Do it all in the name of love?
Would you let me lead you even when you’re blind?
In the darkness, in the middle of the night.
In the silence, when there’s no one by your side.
Would you call in the name of love?
In the name of love.
In the name of love.
In the name of love.
In the name of love!
If I told you we could bathe in all the lights.
Would you rise up, come and meet me in the sky?
Would you trust me when you’re jumping from the heights?
Would you fall in the name of love?
When this madness, when there’s poison in your head
When the sadness, leaves you broken in your bed
I will hold you in the depths of your despair
And it’s all in the name of love.
In the name of love.
In the name of love.
In the name of love.
In the name of love!
I want to testify.
Screaming the holy lie.
You bring me back to life.
And it’s all in the name of love.
I want to testify.
Screaming the holy lie.
You bring me back to life.
And it’s all in the name of love!
In the name of love.
In the name of love.
In the name of love.
In the name of love!
Episode Two: White Eyes
I woke up. I was lying on the edge of a beach. I stood up on my knees, sort of kneeling. I grabbed my arm as if injured. I cringed as my hand came away bloody.
I got up and limped away from that spot, my ankle sprained. I heard moaning and stopped. Right in front of me were three zombies. The zombies turned around and moaned at me, stretching their arms out in front of them. I limped backward, clutching my arm. I saw a mossy-stone walkway to a temple and ran into it, not bothering to see what it said. It said:
The Cemetery
The Demon Emperor
I walked the corner and saw two wither skeletons that seemed asleep by the entrance to a doorway. I tried to walk past them, but one of them grabbed the back of my shirt as I was about to go through and threw me against the wall across from the doorway.
Iron swords materialized in front of the wither skeletons, and the door behind them began to close.
In quick thinking, I slid underneath the door just as it closed shut, leading me into a room where a lot of hostile mobs were imprisoned behind iron doors.
I walked forward, seeming another doorway. I walked in, and the door slammed shut behind me and locked itself. "Creepy." I said to myself.
As soon as the door shut, the circle in front of the room opened, and a stone slab lifted upwards from the center of the circle. But it what was on the center piece was the thing that was intresting.
On the center piece was a circle of rectangular lights, each bundled up into a ball of light. I walked up to the ball and touched it. The ball of light flew up into the air and seperated. I watched with intrest, until suddenly, the lights went back together again, but this time, they flew into the center of my brain, down through my body until they came to rest in the middle of my heart.
I fell to one knee as the cavern shook, and a circle of light, not like the one that went inside me, but a different one, like a flat circle, illuminated a column of light, like what you see underneath a UFO that picks up certain things.
I was lifted up and brought to the center of the column. I was twirled around, and brought down on the center of the pedestal, still on one knee.
The door lifted open, and the monsters came filing in. The last to arrive was the same enderman that almost killed my brother and me. But I didn’t care. I was evil now. The light that had pierced my heart was an evil light, a light that could not be stopped.
An iron sword materialized in front of me, and I took it without hesitation. My head was down, looking at it, deciding whether I wanted to accept my destiny as the Demon Emperor of Minecraft.
Then I looked up, rising my sword triumphantly, accepting my fate. But the startling change that had taken place in me was more stunning than my change of fate.
My eyes weren’t purple like my brother’s anymore.
It was the dawn of a new beginning.
Because my eyes......my eyes glowed as white as the sun.
Episode Three: Part One: Training
Up, down. Up, down. Sweat dripped down my face as I did push-ups. My face was drenched. I then grabbed a small block of wood and held it over my head.....but it crushed me flat.
