“I know.” I said, with an evil grin on my face.
Suddenly the lights turned off, and lightning crackled overhead. Herobrine appeared in front of me, an iron sword pointed at my throat. I gasped, not able to breathe.
I laughed evilly. This was even more fun than I had imagined.
I walked down the hallway to the chamber where I got my glowing eyes. This time I stepped willingly into the middle of the pedestal, confidence running through my bones.
The pedestal glowed with a golden light, and I was lifted high into the air by the column of light. Black armor appeared over all my body, glowing with a faint purple-blue iridescence. It was enchanted obsidian armor, a new type of armor only found in haunted houses. Being the king of all the monsters of Minecraft, I could go in those whenever he wanted.
I walked down the hallway back towards the throne room.
Alex was there waiting for me in the cage next to my throne. “When will you let me out of here?” She demanded.
“Soon.” I said. “Very soon, my dear sister-in-law. Very soon.”
I arrived at the castle, and the first thing I saw was my wife, Alex, locked up inside a glowing purple-white cage. She reached out for me again, but then I was pounded to the ground by the enderman. I looked up, and my brother’s diamond sword appeared in my grasp.
I threw the enderman off my back, and we both tumbled to the palace floor. I stood up and brushed off the dust from the ground, and met a punch in the face head on. I was twirled around by the blow and brought to one knee. The enderman rose up behind me, ready to kill. It had lost once. It wasn’t going to lose again.
Suddenly, I got an idea. My mind flashed back to the first battle with the enderman. We had tried all the direct attacks. Why not a surprise attack?
I twisted my sword around and plunged it behind me, directly into the enderman’s stomach.
The enderman grunted, then fell over, dead.
I looked up, surprised that my brother had managed to kill his rival so quickly.
I motioned toward Herobrine, muttering something inaudiable.
“He’s your brother.” I said in a whisper so that only Steve could hear.
I didn’t get that only I was supposed to hear this. “This dude’s not my brother. Have you lost your mind, Alex? My brother was killed in the enderman battle.”
“No, look!” I said, pointing at Herobrine.
Herobrine was looking down, sitting on his throne, still wearing his obsidian armor. But as Steve and Alex watched him, a change seemed to take place. The armor seemed to dissolve, disappearing. Then, when the change was complete, Herobrine looked up. His eyes were blinding to them for a minute, since they were glowing with an extra energy that they hadn’t had. Hatred. Burning, burning hatred.
