I looked at my brother, determination written on my face.
I turned to my brother and gave him an encouraging smile. Then I turned to face our opponent.
The enderman laughed at them, its’ hinged mouth unhinging with every laugh it made. It shrieked like a banshee and teleported behind them. Steve and Herobrine looked up at it, like a lightbulb just appeared in their minds: “Uh, oh.”
Then the enderman punched me into a tree, my golden sword dropping to my side as I slid down the tree, the breath knocked out of me.
I was punched in the back, falling to the ground.
The enderman picked me up from the ground beneath the tree and punched me in the gut once, twice, three times. I knelt down, holding my stomach as I bent over in pain.
I rushed the enderman, only to be tripped by it, falling face-first on the ground. The enderman picked me up from the ground and thrust me into the air. My diamond sword fell to the ground as I was thrown up into the sky. The enderman appeared above me and volleyball-spiked me down to the ground, where I landed with a sickening crunch, my arm twisted at an extreme angle.
The enderman then picked me up and punched me once more in the stomach, sending me sliding to hang over the edge of a cliff.
The enderman saw my own golden sword and picked it up. It teleported over to me, and knelt down, holding my golden sword over it’s head, ready to deliver the killing blow.
Suddenly the enderman noticed movement in the corner of its eye. It looked to the left right as Herobrine smacked into it, sending them both plunging over the cliff. Steve looked up, only to see the only brother he’d ever known falling to his death as he sacrificed his life for him. And that was the most tragic thing to happen in Minecraft for a long time.
I stood up and grimaced from the pain, but then remembered. I ran to the side of the ravine, where there was no trace of Herobrine in the violent rushing waters of the river down below.
I sank to my knees. My best friend and brother was gone, lost to me in the world of the living. He was gone. I saw my golden sword next to the bushes. I went over to grab it, but then saw my brother’s diamond sword next to it, its handle over my golden sword’s handle, like the our swords were holding hands. It made me want to cry.
But before the tears could fall, I quickly picked up the two swords and walked home, following the setting sun’s rays to my destination. It was the end of a tragic day.
I walked home after the battle, Herobrine’s diamond sword in one hand and my golden sword in the other. The pain that the enderman inflicted to my torso was very arduous, but there was an even greater pain, even greater than that. It was the knowledge that my only brother, my only twin, had sacrificed his life for me. That was my only regret. That I was saved instead of my brother.
I walked to the village, not even bothering to say hi to any of the villagers. But they still walked up to me and asked what was wrong, but they backed off when they saw Herobrine wasn’t with me.
Steve approached the door of our house. I came to the door. I looked around him, then saw the two swords in his hands. I shot him a questionary glance. “Where’s Herobrine?” I asked, worry creeping into my voice.
I couldn’t answer, for I was overcome with grief. So I just shook my head.
I understood almost immediately, and fell to my knees. I cried while Steve just stood there, overwhelmed.
If I told you this was only going to hurt.
If I warned you that the fire’s gonna burn.
Would you walk in?
Would you let me do it first?
Do it all in the name of love?
Would you let me lead you even when you’re blind?
In the darkness, in the middle of the night.
In the silence, when there’s no one by your side.
Would you call in the name of love?
In the name of love.
In the name of love.
In the name of love.
In the name of love!
If I told you we could bathe in all the lights.
Would you rise up, come and meet me in the sky?
Would you trust me when you’re jumping from the heights?
Would you fall in the name of love?
When this madness, when there’s poison in your head
When the sadness, leaves you broken in your bed
I will hold you in the depths of your despair
And it’s all in the name of love.
In the name of love.
In the name of love.
In the name of love.
In the name of love!
I want to testify.
Screaming the holy lie.
You bring me back to life.
And it’s all in the name of love.
I want to testify.
Screaming the holy lie.
You bring me back to life.
And it’s all in the name of love!
In the name of love.
In the name of love.

I woke up. I was lying on the edge of a beach. I stood up on my knees, sort of kneeling. I grabbed my arm as if injured. I cringed as my hand came away bloody.
