Here is the designated location for ideas on creating alien species' and cultures. Sorry for not making this earlier!
Well, here are my species lol

Yeah? How would you like them integrated into the universe then? Do you want them to play any specific role?
Well to start I do have a race that’s I’ve been coming up for years with, called the Necronoids. There a race that appear almost human, but are far from it. They have no mouth and also reek of decomposition, there hair like substance is more like wax. They have a relatively simple respiratory system, and immune system, but they consume bacteria that come into contact with them. They can actually remove body parts and the arms will continue to grow separate of them. Though it’s unknown how they are built all ships built by them are complete organic in construct, though incredibly slow due to a lack of a complex engine, this results in space expeditions lasting years, so they’ve developed the ability to enter a comatose state that acts as a stasis.
When the first ship was discovered the individuals who boarded thought the crew had died mysteriously only to fine the crew members awaking. There leadership system is sort of a monarchy, a single individual is declared Grand Lich and leads the entire species, then under him are his Draco’s that act as heads of different matters. And in charge of each of there ships is a individual designated Lich, who stays awake to guard his crew while they slumber.
There life spans are yet untested.

Just putting that all there for reference.

Okay, how would you like them integrated into the lore? Do you want them to have a connection with the Confederacy of some kind? Perhaps we could say the boarding party was a Confederate Customs Cruiser who attempted to investigate said ship?
It sounds good to me. I thought they could be a group that was held in some superstition.

So what happened to the crew? Did the Necronoids kill them or what? If so, then I could only imagine the Confederacy having hostile relations towards them.

edit: How else do you want them integrated? Come on, man, let's hear some ideas!
They might have been hostile threatening them at first as they had invaded there ship, but they might of realized they meant well depending on the men’s actions.

Alright, got anything else you want to discuss in order to integrate them more into the universe? Come on, dude.
I can’t really think of anything.

*sighs* well, you got plenty of time. The purpose of this group was to create a diverse universe filled with lore and historical connections. Take your time if you must, but if you want to include a culture that has a significant impact on the universe, you gotta have some ideas coming up. If you want, I can provide more context to the universe if you're still having trouble.
That be great. This is a work in progress, but I’ll begin working more on it.

No worries, mate. I got work now, but I'll send ya some more context once I get back! <3
Got it see you soon boss.
Heyo! This isn't a species, but I did have a few ideas for human culture.

Since its the holidays right now, I was thinking about how holidays would evolve. The thought i had was that Christmas/New Year would just combine into one week long secular holiday complete with gift giving and stuffing your face with food and alcohol.

The holiday, simply referred to as Holiday as it was taken from the term 'happy holidays', would begin on December 25 (assuming the calendar is still the same). The evening of the 25th would involve giving gifts, toys to children, usually money to adults. The rest of the week wouldn't necessarily be a bank holiday per say, but many would take off the week regardless and kids would have time off school. It would finish up with feasts on December 31 going into January 1 where gifts of food or dessert are usually brought to the family or person hosting the feast to be eaten together.

There could definitely be some variation in the traditions such as some places giving small gifts every day of the week (like Hanukkah) and there would definitely be differences in what kind of food is prepared. I can see some places having a more traditional home made gift approach whereas others are much more commercialized and expensive.

Any one have any suggestions or anything? I know its kind of a rough idea.

Maybe instead of calling it holiday, it could be called Year End Festivities or something like that?

That could totally work! I’m thinking maybe we could include memorial days as part of Orion culture after its civil wars and the like.
Okay this took me a while to write up, so I hope you enjoy it. I'm gonna share it as a link to my google docs, as its way too much info to put in a single textbox here. Any suggestions for tweaks are welcome as well as significant individuals inside this race.

Noice! I was actually thinking that the ‘Progenitors’ were a Coalition affiliated research and expeditionary vessel sent into the Boötes Void and onto the Stratori homeworld. Say... they could also borrow some Russian words in accordance with their discovery of the Muscovy data logs? And since I’d like to include a bit more of the Boötes Void in the canon, perhaps their homeworld is in a much smaller galaxy in the Void?

Hmmm, I'd envisioned a far different race for the 'Progenitors' since if the Coalition is the species which uplifted them then it partly takes away from their slowly sneaking into Coalition space and attacking minor settlements in mostly unguarded space.

From your lore I'm also unsure if the Coalition used the sort of warpdrives that the Stratori is using which is pretty decisive to their minor spread out into the galaxy
