Post here if you wish to discuss any building of worlds, systems, and other astronomical locations.
I had a rather crackpot idea and I'm not sure whether it fits here because its related to a world or in the political section because its story is politically involved. So you have, from what I recall reading, three major powers and a lot of unclaimed space. The idea was a somewhat isolated plot, revolving around a specific planet where there is not official conflict between the three powers but there are unofficial guerilla wars between local 'extremist' factions calling for the planet to be claimed by one power or another. Specifically I imagine the conflict being between unregistered settlers claiming loyalty to New Hispania vs. other settlers loyal to the Muscovites. And though the actual coalitions don't outwardly approve of this conflict they don't really care to move in resources to stop it, as its a fringe matter and potentially beneficial if their side wins.
...So basically like early Texas, but with russians instead of americans. Nothing really set in stone about it, but I rather liked the idea of the war starting after two parts of the same, massive settling group turned on eachother; the leaders too loyal to their own former nations but previously involved with the other.
So in short: A proxy war being directed by a former couple that broke up to follow their own culturally based ambitions.
I've been trying to think bigger to help fill in the story more and provide larger, more relevant figures to the main setting's lore but this is all I've got so far.

That could totally work! Like a classic Wild West Range War! Although, I'm sorry for not making this clearer, but essentially the Muscovy Coalition and the Hispanian Republic were dissolved after the Concordance Treaty. The Hispanian Republic is the successor state of the Republic but hold little power in most political affairs. And the Coalition is essentially made up of little more than remnants of loyalists and nationalist hoping to reform it.
I'm thinking there could be a situation where Hispanian expeditionists found this planet to start off with but later was annexed by the Coalition before sustaining a long campaign by the Union. Eventually, after the Coalition's dissolution, Muscovy loyalists still remained while New Hispania slowly regained its foothold onto the planet. New Hispania is more of a satellite state to the current Orion Confederacy, and since New Hispania is notorious for its lawless jurisdictions, it wouldn't be unheard of for insurgency to seed in such a politically contested hotspot!
Hey, as long as its still doable. If anything that provides more incentive for the two factions to conflict. I like to flesh out worlds so I'm considering local designs and the like now. xD I wish I had larger scale plot stuff but I figure a planet's big enough for a starting contribution.

Of course! Thanks a lot, man! your contributions are much appreciated, even if it may seem small!
Just a quick question, What type of galaxy is this taking place? Is it gonna be like the Milky Way(a spiral galaxy) or will it be a different type?

Technically in the Milky Way, but I can allow more advanced species from other galaxies to come in.
