Hello! It is going better today. The rain brings out the arthritus and Fibromyalgea on. After 3 days, the rain stopped and now we have floods here and there. The schools closed because of it! Never ever happened before.
I have survived for over 10 years with this stuff so I am sure I will live a bit longer.
Tus has been really busy lately, hasn't she?

The Story
Chunks of fur lay here there along the walls were scraps and large claw marks. Wooden furniture lay in splinters on the cold marble flooring. Just a simple dule between friends had turned into an all out war. The workers with in the castle had fled from the fight in hopes to keep from falling prey to the large blue Viscet that attacked there Prince.The Guards couldn't do anything knowing if they did Aynor would kill there Prince, but if they didn't gods only knows what would happen to him. If they even dared to step a paw closer to them.
Having seen the massive blue Viscet hit the strawberry colored cet known as Nyx hard enough to knock her out.Nobody understood why the once quiet and timid male had turned on them all like a an untamed animal. Though something seemed off about him, his normally amber colored eyes held a tint of red. Weather it was from the lack of rest or madness nobody knew.
Aynor let out a maniacal laugh, " You really thought you could Win?" his voice boomed from outside the palace doors as he stared down at the cowering Prince and his strawberry colored mate. " Tell me, Azur, what did you think would happen by challenging me! " The large blue and gold viscet said sarcastically, his fur and mane puffed to make himself look much larger to the young Viscet that cowered before him like a helpless mouse. “ It was only a friendly Duel Aynor why do this?” He asked. Azur turned his eyes away for a moment to glare at the Knights who stood back before he grinned and looked back to Azur “ Because there is something i want” He chuckled
“Please! You can have whatever you want; but please, spare my beloved Nyx,” Azur replied, seeming to barely hold onto his composure as he protectively stood, on all fours over top of his unconcious mate. “ Anything?” he pondered for a moment, already knowing what to ask for, as his face broke out into a grin too wide for a viscet’s face. “Hmmm.... I want your throne.” he responded nonshalontly, with an evil gleam hidden within his Amber eyes.
Obviously shocked by the proposal, the Prince stared blankly at him with his mouth dropped open. “M-my .. t-throne?” he shrieked. He glanced down at his beloved before he turned to look back up at Aynor, defeat written in his tired features. “Very well... you can have it.” He said slowly, lowering his head failure knowing he had no chance at fighting the larger Viscet that towered over him.
Aynor laughed again, a bone chilling laugh that caused Azur to cringe at the sound. “ You’re to kind Azur. I'll give you one minute to leave these lands and to take your mate with you.. but her sister stays here, she now belongs to me." he replied with a evil smirk. “You monster! what can Vyx offer you -- she's just a child!” Azur protested, outraged. “ LEVERAGE my dear boy! You try to attack, and I'll throw her off the terrace to her death, simple as that!” Aynor chuckled as he ran his claws threw his lush, golden mane.
“ You're mad! Why would you threaten a child’s life over a mere throne?” Azur asked, baffled at Aynor’s response “ Because I always get what I want.” Aynor declared as he grabbed Azur by the nose and stared into his eyes.“Now run boy, run far away and never look back; for if you do not only will I kill your beloved's sister but I will make you watch as I take Nyx’s life as well.” He said before pulling the young Prince up and ripped his ear off in one swift bite. He chuckled as he dropped the bleeding Prince back to the dusty ground.
Without another word Azur pulled Nyx onto his back before he fled his kingdom, leaving behind his home and his sister in law. ~ I will return, and I will defeat you Aynor, you can count on it.~ Azur thought as he carried Nyx away, ignoring the pain coming from where his left ear once was. He did not stop running until they reached Heatherstone, he found a clearing and rested Nyx on the ground waited for her to awaken.
Meanwhile Aynor turned and headed for the throne room. Shoving past a pastel colored Knight who spoke up “ Why are you doing this Aynor?” he asked in a solemn tone, Aynor turned and looked at him “ You know good and well why , don’t play dumb with me” He snapped before heading off

One Year Latter
((RoseWood throne room))
The Castle was Dusty, and cobwebs hung from the walls and roof, the once bright castle sat in a dark and depressing mood as even the windows were caked in a thick layer of dust that didn't allow much if any at all sunlight to shine threw. The throne room wasn't any better, Lit mostly by candles as dark curtains hung over the windows to keep the room dark and minasing.
Aynor tapped one claw on the arm rest of the throne, his head resting on the other. “ Your point in all this is?” He inquired, staring down at the old viscet that knelt before him, “ Sire, my family is starving, all I ask for is a little food, bandits took everything we had yesterday.” He whimpered, making sure to keep his head bowed to the Sapphire King.
Aynor bared his large teeth and rubbed his shiny horns in thought. “ You’re pathetic to ask for help. Your family should have fought back, then you wouldn't be here, BEGGING for my food. Out of my sight you fool, and do not come here again asking for what is rightfully MINE.” Aynor growledl. “ Y-yes Mi lord” The old Viscet said as he fled the throne room.
With a huff, Aynor ran his claws threw his fur and got to his feet, “ VYX!” He called out loudly, and a moment later a light purple Viscet entered the room. “ You called, Mi Lord?” She questioned in a timid voice, “ my horns need polishing and my mane needs brushing… Get to work. “ He said as he sat in a backless chair so the Female could work on getting the knots from his lavish golden mane.
“ Do not hurt me again, or no food tonight.” He tail swayed back and forth as he tapped his tail on the tile floor as she worked “ Yes Mi Lord, of course,” She replied simply while she worked.

(( posible Art of Azur on Throne))
~In Heatherstone Woods beyond the kingdom~
Nyx looked over at the teal colored Viscet who sat crouched by the river watching the fish, raising one of his front paws, he swiped and scooped up a large Salmon from within the rushing river. “ Nice catch, Azur!” Nyx remarked, walking over and picked up the fish. “ This will be great for dinner tonight.” She said, fluffing up happily. Azur chuckled as he stood up looking at the strawberry colored Viscet whom he loved so very much, never once had she questioned his judgement during this hard time they were in. “ Thank you my Dear. Now, how about we find us some fruit?” He asked as he moved with her away from the water. “ Oh, that sounds wonderful; the tree’s should have grown fruit by now, and the berry bushes might have some left.” She replied with a smile as she lay the fish on some rocks nearby.
Azur nodded softly before he sniffed the air, “ Yes, I agree, Stay here my dear and I’ll see what I can find.” He said before walking deeper into the woods. The year had been rough on the two of them but they had survived, Azur had lost the ability to hear out of his left ear, but the scar was not that noticeable. The painful memory, however ... was still there and he doubted it would ever go away.
~What have you been doing this past year, Aynor, have you just been lazy and enjoying all that your position now holds? Or are you distorting what I once strived to uphold, the good and kindness that a ruler should possess over his people?~ he thought as he walked. While he was outside of his former homeland, he could stand on the cliffs near by and look over what once was his home. From here he could see the barren wasteland that the once vigorous, green farms had once held, but turned into something very different compared to its former self. ~ This time of year the fields would be full and ready to harvest, but your greediness has resulted in my people starving, and for what?~

~~ RoseWood Castle~~
Aynor’s ears twitched slightly as Vyx attempted to remove a particularly troublesome knot from his mane, “ be easy you little whelp!” He snarled at her.
“ I-I’m Sorry M-mi Lord, but this Knot… It won't come out… I might have to cut it,” She mused in a timid voice. “ NO don't you dare cut my mane.” Aynor felt Vyx’s hand begin to tremble as she said, “ Sire… If I can't get it out with the brush… it’s the only--” Holding the scissors up to the fur, her attempt was futile as Aynor’s tail swat her hard upside the head. “ How dare you undermine me! “ He shouted in annoyance, leaping up and spun around, staring down at the cowering Vyx. “ I am the KING! You do NOT tell me what needs to be done! “ He growled as he raised his claws to strike the young Viscet’s muzzle.
Vyx yelped as his claws cut into her mizzle leaving her light pink nose a bit more red in color. Putting her purple paw to her nose as she whimpered in pain. “ I-I’m Sorry Mi Lord “ She said, her ears dropped back in fear of having her ears removed as Aynor had already proved he would do when he was angry, she had even seen him do it just to prove a point. “ Out of my sight, whelp.” Aynor spat swatting his tail at her again. Vyx squeaked before she ran away to hide in her room.
Once in her room Vyx sighed softly and closed the door ~ I miss you sister, so much, I hope you and Azur are safe, wherever you might be~ she thought sadly, taking out some water to clear her muzzle of the blood that stained her soft pink fur. She took out her own brush and began brushing her own mane and tail, she may be forced to work like a dog, but she would look good if she had anything to say about it.
~~~~~~~
Aynor snorted as he walked out of the throne room with his head proudly held high. Being larger than most of the other Viscets in the Kingdom the way he carried himself brought fear to the much smaller cets of the castle. He walked down the halls at a leisurely pace; leading him to the kitchen were he would gorge himself on food, and only once he was full would he allow the others to even eat one bite -- which was not much once he ate his fill. Most of the time, only the youngest of them would be able to eat, leaving the older ones, unless the young ones gave up there food, would go hungry until the next meal time.
~~~ Three Years Later ~~~
“Come on, men, keep going, we’re almost out!” Terakta muttered under his breath as he lead the other Knights out of the tunnel, to freedom. It had taken them years to find this tunnel, it had been three years since Azur was banished from the Kingdom and Aynor had done nothing but spread wrath upon the lands. He didn’t quite understand why; he had known Aynor as a boy through his father, but lost track of him once his father died.
Shaking his head away from his racing thoughts as the tunnel finally opened up into the HeatherStone Woods, Terakta held up his paw for the other Knights to halt.
“How will we find the Prince, Terakta, now that we’re out?” he turned to the Knight that had spoken, pondering for a moment. “May luck be on our side, Kera,” he responded simply, as they started moving again.
Hours past, and there was still no sign of the Prince and his mate, the Knights, along with Terakta, were beginning to lose hope fast. What if .. Azur had given up and moved far away? It had been three years after all.
That’s when he heard it, a faint noise from afar. Motioning to remain silent, he walked up ahead of his Knights, and slowly but surely moved towards the weak, but real, sound. Something cracked and split from behind some thick shrubbery.
Suddenly, a Terakta felt a cold metal pressed against the back of his neck, he froze.
“And just WHAT do you think you’re doing here, are you another one of those bandits?” a voice snarled, Terakta held his paws up, slowly turning to face his captor.
What his eyes saw took awhile for his brain to process. “...Azur?” he practically choked on the words, Azur was older now .. more mature even. His fur was dirty, and so were his clothes.. The viscet’s eyes widened as they did a double take of him.
Azur looked over Terakta, a moment later his knights appeared from behind him. “What are you all doing here?” he asked, shocked, he dropped his sword.
“We have come to take you home, Azur, where you belong.” Terakta replied proudly, putting a paw on the Prince’s shoulder.
“ You all are very brave to seek me out, but how could I ever return? I cannot fight Aynor. “ the former Prince confessed in a dispirited voice. “ Not alone you can’t; But with us all to help, you can regain your throne. You are still our Prince and we are here to help you.”
“Terakta, it has been so long!” Azur broke into a happy smile, it was wonderful to see such an old friend again, walking over and embracing him. The old scarred ‘cet chuckled, “it’s good to see you to Azur, you have grown much over these past years,” He remarked, looking the teal colored Prince over. “And you have a few more scars since the last time I saw you.” Azur frowned at the old ‘cets ears. “ Ah yes, the “King” Punishes all who oppose him by either removing or painfully scaring ones ears,” He said, nodding to Azur’s own ear “ But i see you already know that” He said.
Azur sighed, touching the scar where his ear once was. “ Yes… I did.” he replied, “ Is Vyx alright?” He asked concerned over his mates sister. “ Yes… She is doing fine.” Terakta said, shifting from foot to foot. “ Good… I’m glad she's alright.” Azur said sighing with relief to learn she was alive.
~~~~~~
Aynor paced his room in annoyance ~ 3… 3 left… this can’t be good.. ~ He thought as he paused and looked out the window. ~ I won't let them retake this castle father, I promised you that I would make them pay for what they did.~ he thought as he dropped his ears. ~ You couldn't hear my vow because of the former King. ~ you were his best Knight, why would he turn on you? When you did nothing wrong?~ he thought, sighing softly. There was a knock on his door and he quickly shook away his thoughts “WHAT!?” He snapped as he stormed over to the door and opened it with one swift move of an arm.
“ M-mi Lord… I-I got a List of all who left,” Vyx’s said holding out some paper to the large Viscet who snatched it from her claws. He looked over it and growled at the names on the list “ All the Golden Claw Knights?! HOW! HOW DID THEY LEAVE WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE!” He exclaimed angrily, grabbing Vyx in anger. “ M-m-mi lord…. T-they might have found one of the old underground tunnels somehow,” She whimpered, laying her ears flat hoping to not lose them to the angry viscet.
Aynor’s ears perked up, “ OF COURSE! The old tunnels! Why didn't I think of that!” He remarked, dropping Vyx. “ Good girl Vyx.. you can Keep your ears,” He smirked, patting her head before shoving past her to locate the tunnels himself.
Vyx sighed softly as he left ~That was weird,~ She thought, watching the large ‘cet run down the hall.
She turned and walked back to her own room.
Azur walked up to Terakta and spoke. “ Terakta… I need you to train me, so I can fight him when the time comes, unless I can talk with him without fighting.” He shrugged.
“ There may be no talking to him, but I will train you my Prince, I will make sure you are ready to reclaim your throne.” He said, looking around at his fellow Knights, who nodded. “ Thank you my friend,” Azur said with a soft smile.
In the Tunnels/Castle
~~~~~
Aynor looked around and sniffed the air, ~Hmm, they did come threw hear.~ he thought as he followed their sent and paw prints on the dusty ground. He passed by the area of the underground room and tunnels where they buried their dead and he lay his ears back, putting a paw against the cold door. ~Father…~ he thought, sudden emotion filling his eyes, before shaking his head and continued on his way down the dark tunnel.
Once he found the exit, he stepped out finding that it lead outside the city walls. ~Need to close this up, or they will use it to get back in,~ he thought, turning and returned inside, were he ordered the remaining guards to close up the tunnels and guard them.
Knowing that they would find Azur, and with there help would try and retake the city, he began to train, working on building himself up more, in preparation for this impending battle that he was sure would soon come knocking at his door.
But he couldn't find it in himself to harm Vyx having grown to like the young Cet and didn't wish to harm her. So he would just leave her be, maybe lock her away but he would not kill such a delicate flower such as Vyx.
~Have I gone soft on her? Everytime I want to hurt her I can’t anymore. Those scars on her nose, they’re my fault and everytime I see them it pains me to know I did that..~ Aynor thought as he walked quietly down the hall to return to his throne room. ~ I must not let anyone see or know,~ he murmured, shaking his head in frustration.

“ Watch you footing Azur, and keep you tail up. He can use it to trip you if you allow him to trap it under foot.” Terekta remarked as he demonstrated by stepping on Azur’s tail; causing the Teal Viscet to fall. “You must remember Azur, your opponent has their weaknesses as well, you must find a way to defeat them without exploiting it, but if need be you must know these. Remember, your hind legs and tail can be used as well, the tail can be used to daze an opponent.” he said, lightly swatting Azur in the head with his tail.
“ If you’re trapped on your belly, or even, a quick kick with your hind legs can stagger the opponent if they’re behind you, but if they’re in front of you, you can launch yourself from the ground into their chest, even a large Viscet like Aynor will stagger or even topple over,” Terekta stated, turning away, only to have Azur slam into his back and pin him to the ground. “Very good Azur, you took the opening and took me down… I let my guard down and you noticed. Always be observant of you opponent” He said, catching his breath a little with a small chuckle.
Azur got off him before helping him up, “ I was wondering if you did that on purpose.” He laughed softly, “ No, I was too busy talking that I let my guard down,” Terekta remarked. “ A few more lessons and you will be ready My Prince!”

Aynor ran his golden claws over the stones of the walls; one to leave scratch marks and two to sharpen them. The sound of the scratches made from his claws on the stones caused the two guards by the door to flinch. This didn't go unnoticed by the large Viscet who turned his gaze to them, he examined his claws before walking over to the two.
“ Do my claws not meet your liking?” He asked, holding them up for the two to see. “ They’re sharp, like your eyes Mi Lord.. “ One of the guards spoke up, “ then tell me, why did you flinch?” He questioned, threatening to slap him. “ J-just the sound Sire -- I assure you it was just the sound,” He replied. “ What? This sound?” Aynor said, scraping his claws over the wall next to the guards head.
The Guard tried not to flinch at the sharp sound of Aynor’s claws on the stone. “ Is this the sound that makes you weak!” Aynor snarled. “ I am not weak.. it… is just a painful sound,” He replied in return. “ I can make it so you can’t hear it at all” Aynor said snapping his teeth close to the guards ear. “ But why take your ears when I can just enjoy your pain.” He chuckled before walking away.
The Guard relaxed a bit glad they he would be able to keep his ears for another day.
(Villains song)
Silent Ears
When I was just a little Tike my mother said to me
Take every day in stride my son and don't forget your own
But then one tragic summer day i lost all that, that i held dear
It was all lost on silent ears.
So now I stand before the crowds to judge them as i please
For the pain of my tragic past will forever be Lost on Silent Ears
As I walk these lonely halls, I see my people cower in fear
at just the sight of me.
But In my mind i do not care, for they are who wronged me
They all just stood on by as i lost everything.
For my cries of pain went unheard as they fell upon Silent Ears
Vyx having heard him singing peeked out of her room, to see the large ‘cet with his paws against the wall and his head bowed. And she swore she could hear him crying. ~What in the world?~ She thought, slightly confused. As he moved she slipped back into her room and quietly closed her door, hoping he had not noticed her.
~That’s very odd for him..~ she pondered.

“ Very good Azur, you have grown into a great warrior in less time then it took me.” Terekta chuckled as he patted Azur’s head. “ Thank you my friend, now .. it is time to take back our home.” Azur said in a confident voice.
Nyx walked up and stood beside him, “ let us get our home back shall we?” She asked looking at her mate with her pink eyes. Azur was confidently looking a head of him, his red and golden eyes burning with confidence. Where he had once been a scared Prince chased from his home he now stood there, looking like a true leader as he gathered his Knights to reclaim there home.
~~~~~~
“ Sire!” A guard called out as he ran into the throne room, “ What is it?” Aynor asked in an annoyed tone,
“ There…. There's an army … its Azur and the Knights.. They just crossed the river.” he said.
“ I knew that little Brat would challenge me, very well let then, come.. I’ll put him down for good this time.” Aynor snarled, getting up. He looked at his claws before walking from the throne room.
As he walked out of the Castle he could see people fleeing inside and even his guards hid not wanting to be involved with the fight between their Prince and the Tyrant that had ruled them for the past few years. ~Weaklings~ Aynor thought growling as he went to meet Azur at the Gates.
The Fight
(( Possible Art ))
~~~~
“AYNOR!” Azur called out, he voice echoing in the silence as he stepped forward from the group if Knights.“ Well well well, look who we have here. I thought I told you never to return?” Aynor growled at him as he stepped out of the gates to meet the group. Nyx, who stood next to Azur gave him a soft nuzzle before she retreated to the safety of the Knights. With his mate safe Azur stepped forward to face Aynor alone.“ I challenge you for the Throne Aynor” Azur declared, lifting his head in confidence to stare down the much larger viscet before him.
Aynor chuckled and bared his teeth, licking them with his tongue as he unsheathed his claws and lowered his head to focus his Amber eyes on the Teal competitor before him. He growled as he struck first, rushing at Azur and aiming to strike a blow with his claws to his neck, But Azur dropped to all fours to avoid the blow , noticing this Aynor launched down trying to snap his jaws around the back of Azur’s neck but due to this Azur was able to rear up quickly and slam his head into Aynor’s neck knocking the wind from the larger viscet and caused him to stagger back coughing.
“ Give it up Aynor, please. I don’t want to hurt you .. We were friends once.” Azur begged as he took a step back, but never once took his eyes off Aynor. “ Friend?! How dare you think of me as your friend… not after you abandoned me.” Aynor hissed lunging at Azur with his teeth bared ready to snap onto any part of Azur’s body he got close to. But Azur was quicker and leaped out of the way. “ Abandoned you? What are you talking about? You are the one who turned your back on me,” Azur said in a confused tone.
“ Don’t act like you don't remember, you just as Pathetic as your father was!” Aynor exclaimed, turning on Azur again and snapped at him, almost catching the teal viscets nose. Azur took this opportunity and closeness to swat Aynor upside the head, hard, with his paw, making sure to keep his claws sheathed as the not harm him to much. Though the power behind the blow was enough to stagger Aynor and make his head spin. With him dazed, Azur took this opening to slam his weight into him with enough force to knock him off his feet. Aynor as his vision cleared found himself gazing into the eyes of the golden eyed teal Cet who pinned him to the ground.
“ I am Azur, Son of King Alor, Heir to the throne of RoseWood and you WILL stand down Aynor.” He growled at the large blue viscet he had pinned to the ground “ Now tell me Aynor… Why did you turn your back on Family?” He asked growling.
“ Why do you care? “ Aynor questioned, staring back at him. “ Because you’re my Cousin.. Why wouldn't I care about you?” Azur asked, confused. “Because when your father killed mine you didn't show me any mind!” Aynor snapped loudly, “ That? That’s why you’re angry? How is that anyone's fault Aynor?” Azur shook his head, more confused than ever.
“ I … believe I can answer that,” Terakta abruptly cut in after a short pause, as he stepped forward. “ You see ... on a hunting trip King Alor had a run in with a Rabid Fox, and for a while we all believed he was fine,” Terakta bowed his head, continuing. “ but then he turned on us. Had it not been for your Father, Aynor, he probably would have hurt a lot of people. He sacrificed himself to save everyone, especially you. It hurt him to see his brother in so much pain. While he never wanted to have to put him down, it was in the best interest of anyone that he did. Like a True Knight your father fought to protect the Kingdom from a threat that could have turned into something much worse.” Terakta said with a solemn expression as he helped the both of them up.
“Lier!” Aynor hissed at him swatting his hand away and got up himself “ I have never heard of a Viscet getting Rabies” He snorted and swatted his claws at Terakta who just grabbed his arm “ Listen to me Aynor! That fox that attacked Alor was Rabid, it transferred the disease to him. While we thought he was alright he wasn't. The sickness drove him insane, he tried to attack his own mate and your father jumped in the way to protect her. “ Terakta said with an iron grip on Aynors arm. “ Why should I Believe you” Aynor Growled “ you kept me from saying goodbye! You didn't let me help him!” He hissed “ because he was already dead before you got there!” Terakta snapped causing Aynor to freeze in shock
Aynor lowered his ears and bowed his head slightly. “ I… didn't realize that is what happened. I thought our King had killed him because he was jealous of my father's strength..” He said closing his eyes tightly, “ I hurt so many viscets… because I didn't know the whole story.” He looked up at Azur, “ now i understand… you were grieving as well.. You lost you father.. And uncle.. Same as me..” He remarked, sighing and shook his head.
“ I know, and I understand your pain Aynor… and I forgive you.” Azur said slowly, putting a paw on his shoulder.
“ You… would just forget everything I’ve done? “ Aynor asked in a stunned tone.
“ Of course I would, it's what family does.” Azur replied with a soft smile, “ Come on, let us return home.. We have a lot of work to do.” Azur said with a bright smile.
“ Yes, I agree, we have much to do before you are crowned King.” Terakta said, nodding to Azur.
~~~~~
As Azur and the GoldenClaw knights walked into the city the other Viscets began coming from their hiding places. Some bowed before the Prince, others Knelt. Others, weirdly eyed the large blue viscet in their midst. Once he reached the steps leading up to the Castle, Azur stopped and turned facing his people “ people of RoseWood, Today I return to you. I vow that from today on that none shall ever harm you again. I promise to be a just and fair ruler just as my father was and his father before him.” Azur promised as he held his head high, “ Of anyone needing aid or help do not fear to ask, myself or my Knights will all be happy to help.” He said looking at Aynor who had whispered something in his ear and he nodded softly stepping aside
“ Everyone… I truly wish to apologize for my actions and my abuse. I was angry and I didn't realize in my anger that I was hurting everyone. My pain drove me to do things that I’m not proud of. So today I stand before you and ask for you forgiveness.” He said looking out at the people with his amber eyes. But nobody spoke at first then a shy timid voice spoke from the door of the castle “ I forgive you.” Vyx said looking at him from where she stood. “ Thank you, Vyx.” Aynor said bowing his head in thanks to the young light purple Viscet. “ Anyone strong enough to admit they did wrong deserves forgiveness.” Nyx ventured as she walked up to her sister, nuzzling her glad to see she was safe. “ That I have to agree with; your father would be very proud of you, Aynor.” Azur said.
“ All Hail King Azur and Queen Nyx!” The people chanted as they all knelt before the new king and Queen of the Kingdom. Off to the side of the room stood the GoldenClaw Knights, Vyx stood near the back of the room but still off to the side of the newly crowned pair. Aynor stood beside her quietly. “ Thank you, everyone.” Azur said smiling as he looked over at Aynor “ Aynor, please come here a moment,” He beckoned, stepping forward a bit… Aynor confused came and stood before him. “ Yes sire?” He asked bowing his head. “ Azur smiled at him and spoke “ Aynor the past month you have proven to be a very resourceful person. And I would like to appoint you a trainee to become a Goldenclaw like you father… “ Azur said.
Aynor looked up at him in shock his jaw dropped slightly “ M-my lord it would be a great honor, but… do I deserve it after… what I did?” He asked. Azur chuckled softly, “ Aynor remember this, the past is the past, it's the future you must look to. So yes… I say you deserve this chance.” He said looking at Vyx, “ Besides, I have a sister-in-law that needs a strong bodyguard.” He said giving him a soft wink.
Aynor rubbed his neck slightly and smiled, not sure what else to say to him so he just bowed his head, “ Thank you.” He murmured softly.
The Diary OF Aynor
Entry 1
I don't understand the whole reason behind owning a Diary, some say it's a good way to remember things, others say it's a way to cope with pain or depression. Umm.. I don't know what to write, honestly…
My name is Aynor, and I’m the Son of a GoldenClaw Knight.
I live with my family in a Kingdom known as Rosewood. My Mother runs a shop in town where she sells fruit… and sometimes flowers. Since I have no siblings the closest thing I have is my cousin Azur, and get this, He's a Prince! My father's brother is the King! Does that make us Royalty in some way? It’s a cool thought.
I wonder what it’s like to being in charge of so many people.
Losing Mother
Entry 5
I never thought much on what I'd do if I lost someone I loved. I always believed I had all the time in the world to be with my family. That, nothing bad would ever happen to them. Maybe I should have thought about it more, before mother.. Before she became sick… before that sickness that took so many from RoseWood, I hadn't ever… thought.. That my own mother would just… be gone one day, one day here, and the next.. Just gone.. I believed she would be fine, so I didn't bother her, I wanted her to rest and get better. Just like my father did; but he stayed with her, every night, every day.
I think, I lost a part of my innocence around this time. I never looked at the world the same again after the epidemic of Blackcough, that plagued the Kingdom for many months at the time. I saw so many in beds, fighting for their lives; coughing uncontrollably, and so much sweat dripping from their brows, but at the same time, they shook, as if cold. But many weren't strong enough to make it through.
I was still quite young though, so I was looking at it from a viscling's point of view. The parents, and doctors would usher the children away from the the sick ones. Be it their friends sick, or someone even closer to them.
I went to school one day, just like any other day really; I went through the motions with my books, talked to my friends. Walking home and entering the house, the air just seemed .. different than normal.
Colder, uninviting. As if saying, don't come any closer.
I slowly made it closer to the room where my mother had been the past week, father had said she had improved some since yesterday before I left for school. He couldn't have been wrong, could he?
I inched closer, holding my breath for fear of what I might see. A shiver ran down my spine as I opened the door, a rush of cold air hit me in the face, and there was my father .. beside my mother, her eyes closed, and him, crying.
My father never cried, never.
I shook my head back and forth violently, taking a few swift, shaky steps steps backwards. And just .. laid my back to the wall, silent.
I knew then, that she was dead. And I had left her, alone. I never even got to say goodbye, it had all happened too fast.
Father had told me it's best that I stayed away or I might have gotten sick as well, but how can I be glad that I'm still here when my mother isn't.. How am I going to go on now, without her?
When he found me in the hall, Dad told me I have to stay inside where he can keep me safe… but what kind of life is being a prisoner in your own home?
Meeting Terakta:
“ Come Aynor, there is someone I want you to meet,” I remember my father saying as he woke me up early.
I had just turned 13 and my father finally felt comfortable with letting me out of the house for the first time since mother died. “ Huh, really? Okay!” I replied enthusiastically as I got up from my warm bed. He soon lead me outside, the sunlight burned my eyes as I stepped out into its rays for the first time in ages it felt like.
Walking along the streets with him I remember seeing everyone moving about the city, some worked on buildings, others were out with friends and family. Younger Viscets chasing each other through the city, their laughter and happiness reminded me at how lonely life had been locked inside. I wonder how my cousin was, it been a while since I'd seen him. Though figured as Prince he was most likely busy.
“ Come on Aynor, keep up.” My father called out with a small laugh, shaking me from my daze of thought as I quickened my pace to catch up with him. “Where are we going?” I asked him curiously, as I looked up at the strong Viscet I admired so much, longing to be like him. “ As I said, There is someone I want you to meet.” My father, Valor, replied. “ Who?” I asked, slightly confused. “A good Friend of mine,” Was all my father said, tilting his head slightly to look down at me. But he said no more so I didn't ask. He lead me to the barracks where the GoldenClaw Knights stayed if they didn't have there own home or, just to have a place to relax or get ready for anything. As he lead me in I was excited to finally have a chance to see where my father worked.
He lead me up to a multi colored Viscet, “ Aynor, I would like you to meet Terakta, he’s my 2nd in command and one of my best friends.” My father said. “ Hello there young one, it’s a pleasure to meet the son of Valor,” He said with a pleasant smile, kneeling to my height.
Me? … Son of Valor.. I never thought about how that sounded before, I hope I really can live up to my family's honor.
Hide and Seek Gone Wrong
Am I Supposed to write these in order?
I don’t care, not like anyone is ever going to read this. Right?.
Back when I was still young, and had yet to develop the ability to walk on my hind legs, I was playing with my cousin and our two friends. We had all voted on playing a game called Hide and Seek. But us being the naive young Viscets we were, we decided to.. Well, we decided to sneak out of the city and play in the woods. Yes, Yes I know. Bad idea, take the Prince into the spooky forest along with two other kids. Good idea Aynor, real good idea.
Problem was we would have to cross the river to get to the woods and the only bridge... was always guarded. So we begin looking for another way across.
We found a spot with some rocks that managed to stay just slightly out of the rushing water, and decided to use them. Azur went first, jumping from rock to rock to the other side with ease. The sisters jumped over next. Then it was my turn.
I hesitated, staring into the river that seemed to be tempting me with its power. Taking the first step, I started to slip, but caught myself. The next rock came up, and it was just slightly wet. This time, I felt my foot lose its grip on the rock. With a splash, I felt the cold water sink into my fur as I was pulled under the surface I realized it was moving much faster than I originally thought. I tried to swim but the raging water was too much for my small viscling body.
I felt something grab me by the back of my neck and pull me out of the water. Who ever had me wasn't my dad, I knew his grip and this wasn't him. “ I’m sorry dad…” I remember hearing Azur say but I blacked out after that.
My Favorite Toy
Image
One of my most prized possessions is a little stuffed Me that my mother made for me. It’s just a little stuffed viscet that looks like me! I was stuck inside one winter day because of a bad snowstorm. My mother came into the living room with some fabrics and things. I always enjoyed watching her create things so I happily sat there and watched, I soon realized what she was creating. While the plush ended up not having my horns, i didn't care, i had a stuffed toy that looked like me .. and reminds me of my mother.
Dad…
I don't even care anymore, why do I bother coming back to this damn book. I guess it’s the only thing that will listen to me. Dad left this morning on a hunting trip with the other Knights and the King. I waited for them to return. They did, but Uncle Alor was injured, they said he was attacked by a fox and would be alright.
But… something happened. Dad wasn't home when he said he would be, so I went to meet him at the Barracks, but when I got there, what I saw was a blood-filled mess.
There were tables turned over, various items and even a window smashed, violent claw marks covered parts of the floor and walls, and blood.
As I continued to walk, I turned a corner, and saw something that I hope to God no one else will ever have to see, but I know there will be others. I at first only saw the tail of a viscet, it was torn with scratches. Their body became visible, with their fur horribly mangled, with red liquid oozing for many different places of their large body.
Despite other viscets telling me to stay away, I inched even closer to the viscet, my brain finally connecting with my eyes; it was my father. I ran to his side, only to be shoved away by one of the other knights, including Terakta. “ Stay back kid,” He ordered in a stern but broken voice. I looked up at him, tears beginning to blur my vision, angry that he wouldn't let me close to my dying father… I pleaded with him, attempting to fight past Terakta, but to no avail, he wouldn’t budge, and was much stronger than me.
I couldn’t even say goodbye to him ... just like my mother.
So I just, ran, hiding away from the world, left to nothing but my own thoughts.
A few days later I finally came out, the solemn sadness that seemed to coat the city was heavy; they were grieving for their King… They were grieving for a killer. I tried to go see my cousin, but they wouldn't let me. He was the only family I had left, and they wouldn't let me see him.
Well, they’re all going to pay, someday, somehow… they will all PAY.
*No Title*
“ I went into town today, to stock up on food. Not a single person stopped to ask me how I was, it’s like they didn't know or care that I had lost my father, or how tired I look. I have not slept in days, I’m constantly haunted by nightmares. I think I’m going to leave for a while, just get away from the city and everyone else. I doubt Azur would even care if I left, besides he’ll be King one day and won't have time for me.
Duties of the King
Who do these people think they are? Coming to me begging for my help when none of them helped me? They’re wrong, I’m not going to help anyone. Why should I help or care about anyone when they didn't care enough about me after I lost my own father. I am now the King and I can do whatever I want, no more will people look down at me or shun me aside. No more will I be the underdog.
The Nightmare:
Hmp, been a while since i wrote anything in this thing. But there's nobody I can talk to, no one that won't think me weak, that is. I will not let anyone ever think of me as weak, never again will I be ignored because of weakness.
But lately, I’ve been having this recurring nightmare. Azur returns with an army to reclaim his home but in doing so I end up like my father.. Bleeding and dying and nobody caring. He doesn't even seem to care that his own family is dying before him… it’s just a dream I know, but, it’s still bothering me.
Aynor stood on a balcony looking out over the city, Azur had given him his own room within the castle with a view of the city.
“ Lovely view, isn't it?” A voice came from behind him and he turned to see his Cousin King Azur.
“ Hello Azur… Yes, it is a lovely view.” He replied back, sighing softly. “ Is something wrong, Aynor?” Azur asked coming to stand by his cousin.
“ It’s nothing… just.. How can you just forgive me after everything I did?” He asked, looking into the eyes of Azur. “ Because you're family, it’s what family does; we forgive. “ He said slowly.
“ I found something I think you would like to have,” Azur remarked suddenly, shifting the subject and pulling a sheath with some sort of sword in it from his side and handed it to Aynor. “ This was your Father's sword, Terakta found it and we want you to have it,” He said smiling softly as Aynor took the sheath in his paws and stared down at the handle of the sword, it held the Goldenclaw Knights Crest, with the leather strapping handle adorning a dark blue with gold tassels hanging from hand guard which was a rose gold color.
Drawing the blade from within its sheath, he marveled at how it shone in the sunlight, soon his eyes fell to the carvings on the blade itself. He pondered the intricate carvings for a moment, his Father had once told him about his sword as a boy, and what the ruins meant.
The runes carved into the blade when translated, would mean Courage.
“ Thank you Azur, This means a lot to me,” He said wiping a few tears from his amber eyes. Now he had something to remember his father buy, just as he had the stuffed toy his mother had made him to remember her by.
“ I knew you would want it. Remember Aynor, You are the Son of Valor, The son of Courage, When I look at you I see him. I see the same strength and courageousness that your father had, in you. You just have to remember Who you are and you will never be alone again. Because you Father Lives in you, just as he does for many of us. His memory will always live strong in all of us.” Azur said looking out over the City. Aynor looked back at him, “ and in you I see your father, a wise and just King who cares deeply for his people. “ He replied, “ I wish I had known him better than I did. “ He sighed softly as he stood by Azur’s side. “ Thank you Aynor, I just hope that I can live up to the standards that my Father held.” Azur replied. “ I’m sure you will Azur, you are a great leader. You always have been.” Aynor responded, putting a paw on Azur’s shoulder.
The Grand Ball
Decorations hung from the banisters, windows and rafters. Extravagant tables decorated in flowers and candles held many types of fruits and other small snacks. To one side of the room it had been cleared and had a few Viscets dancing to the soft music that played from the Band. Everything seemed perfect, everyone was happy and with family and friends. But with Azur busy doing his kingly duties, that didn't seem to slow down even for the Ball. Aynor sighed softly leaning against one of the marble pillars that lined the center of the room. Vyx looked at the large blue Viscet who looked quite handsome in the outfit he had chosen for the Ball. She walked over to him. “ Want to Dance?” She asked him holding out a paw for him to take. Aynor blinks at her shocked at the request but he smiled and took her paw “ Sure, i would love to” He said as she lead her to the dance floor where she rested her other paw against his chest, being he was taller than her and she couldn't reach his shoulder.
Aynor looked down at the soft purple Viscet that he had once held prisoner. How could she just want to dance with him after everything. He looked at the small scars on her muzzle that he had caused. “ Does your nose ever hurt?” He asked her out of curiosity “ Huh? Oh.. that, no it dont” she said shaking her head slightly so the pale blue vail lay over the scars. Aynor looked at her before looking her in the eyes, the beautiful pools of blue that shimmers like the stars. His heart skipped a beat, he had never really thought about how beautiful she was. “ Aynor? Are you alright?” She asked him snapping him out of his thoughts “ Y-yeah i’m alright” He said
“Are you sure? Your heart to pounding like a drum, do you need to sit down?” Vyx asked clearly concerned over him. Aynor sighed and rested his paw under her chin “ Dont be, i.. Just have never noticed how beautiful your eyes are” He said to her in a very nervous tone of voice “ Well your eyes are quite handsome ya know” She replied softly. Aynor smiled back at her his Amber eyes shining softly “ that's very nice to hear coming from you Vyx” He said rubbing his neck slightly “ Will...will you be mine?” He asked her. Vyx blinked at him in shock at the question, but then she smiled softly at him “ Of course” She replied
Scouting with Terakta
((Overcoming a fear isn't easy, but with a friends help its not as hard))
“Come Aynor, your joining me on this Scoring mission” Terakta said nudging Aynor awake early one morning. “Scouting mission? For what?” Aynor asked with a yawn. As he got up he stretched and ran his claws threw his mane. “ Because we have to check our borders,” Teraka replied simply “Didn't Azur expand our borders recently?” He asked “ Yes, he did, we now own part of Heatherstone woods” Terakta replied as he picked up a leather sack and pulled it over his shoulders “ Get anything you need and meet me outside “ With that said the Pastel colored Viscet left the barracks. Aynor picked up his own bag that held a few things, his Diary and the stuffed toy his mother made him. Picking up his sword he pulled it on his back as well before following Terakta outside. “Are you ready?” The Goldenclaw leader asked turning to look at the large sapphire colored Viscet. “ Yes, I am” Aynor replied with a soft nodd of the head “ Very well, Let's go” Terakta replied.
The older pastel Viscet lead Aynor out of the town and headed down towards the farms were they grew fruits and nuts, and even harvested fish from the river and lake that there farms surrounded. “ So why do we do this?” Aynor asked walking alongside Terakta “ Well For one, it's to see if the other Cet’s that live outside the city need anything. But it’s also to check for Wild Animals that could harm us in anyway.” He said looking at Aynor for a moment before turning to watch where he was going. He lead Aynor down alongside the river and once they got to a shallow part he walked across and turned looking back at Aynor, who hesitated by the water, staring at it “ Aynor, your fine. It’s not deep enough for you to fall in” Terakta said shaking his head slightly. Aynor sighed softly and stepped into the shallow water, just fur stood on end as he did so and he pulled back. “ I.. Can't” He said with a soft whimper
Aynor, you Can. Just try again.” Terakta said as he patiently tried to help Aynor overcome his fear. The large blue Viscet took a deep breath and stepped forward, placing his left foot into the cool water, feeling the gentle movement. He slowly moved his over to step a head of the other, feeling the small pebbles move slightly under his wight. Causing him to flinch slightly. “ Thats is Aynor, your doing good, just a few more steps” Terakta said to encourage the younger Viscet.
Aynor took slow steps and soon was on the other side of the river. “ Very good Aynor, See. You can face your fears if you just try” the pastel Viscet Said putting a paw on Aynor’s shoulder “ Come, we need to keep going.” He said turning and began walking. Aynor looked back at the water and then headed to follow Terakta. The Duo traveled along the edges of the farms were large beautiful fruit trees grew. One of the farmers walked up to them “Hello Terakta, Aynor… How are you two doing today? “ She asked them “ I am doing very well “ Terakta said with a smile. “ I’m doing good as well, thank you for asking” Aynor said looking at the trees “ I’m glad you were able to save the tree’s. There so lovely this time of year” He said drooping his ears. “ Don’t worry about it, we know how to care for our trees.” The young farmer chuckled softly.
“ Very well, Is there anything you need?” Terakta asked her. The farmer shook her head “ No i don't think there is anything we need. Not until the harvest “ She added. “ Very well, We will check in on you before then” he replied before turning to Aynor “ Come “ He said simply before heading off once more.
They spent most of the morning making there way thru the farms as other Viscets would stop them to speak with them. Bt the time they made it to the other River that ran along the other side of the farms Terakta slowed “ Let's catch us some lunch and rest before we continue on” He said setting his bag down and walked over to the river. Aynor sat down and watched him, He didn't know how to fish, plus he still didn't trust water.
Soon they had some food sat quietly as they ate their food. After they finished Terakta stood and looked around. “ I’m sorry Aynor but there isn't a shallow sport here “ He said looking at the Sapphire Viscet. Aynor sighed softly and looked at the water, the memory of falling into the water as a Viscling causing him to trimple slightly, only to have a gentle paw rest on his shoulder as Terakta crouched to be eye level with him “ Aynor, i know you're scared, but you can do this. You are strong and brave like your father. Just stay behind me and you will be fine, I promise” He said “ If it helps you can told onto my tail” He chuckled softly.
Aynor got up and nodded “ Alright, let’s go” He said turning to the river, allowing Terakta to go a head of him before he followed. He watched as the older viscet stepped into the water and waded into the water, that reaches up to his knees. Aynor took a deep breath before he followed. Soon they were both out on the other side “ See, you can do anything you set your mind to” With that said hey continued on.
The rest of the journey was easy and asid from the creek they had to cross it was fairly dry. By the time they made it to the Heatherstone woods it was sunset and they settled in for the night. When morning came they continued on by the time they made it back to the river, they turned and made for the main road where they could use the bridge to return to town “ Well now that was fun, I'll take you along next time Aynor” Terakta said looking a him. “ Alright, sounds good” Aynor said.
The Story
Chunks of fur lay here there along the walls were scraps and large claw marks. Wooden furniture lay in splinters on the cold marble flooring. Just a simple dule between friends had turned into an all out war. The workers with in the castle had fled from the fight in hopes to keep from falling prey to the large blue Viscet that attacked there Prince.The Guards couldn't do anything knowing if they did Aynor would kill there Prince, but if they didn't gods only knows what would happen to him. If they even dared to step a paw closer to them.
Having seen the massive blue Viscet hit the strawberry colored cet known as Nyx hard enough to knock her out.Nobody understood why the once quiet and timid male had turned on them all like a an untamed animal. Though something seemed off about him, his normally amber colored eyes held a tint of red. Weather it was from the lack of rest or madness nobody knew.
Aynor let out a maniacal laugh, " You really thought you could Win?" his voice boomed from outside the palace doors as he stared down at the cowering Prince and his strawberry colored mate. " Tell me, Azur, what did you think would happen by challenging me! " The large blue and gold viscet said sarcastically, his fur and mane puffed to make himself look much larger to the young Viscet that cowered before him like a helpless mouse. “ It was only a friendly Duel Aynor why do this?” He asked. Azur turned his eyes away for a moment to glare at the Knights who stood back before he grinned and looked back to Azur “ Because there is something i want” He chuckled
“Please! You can have whatever you want; but please, spare my beloved Nyx,” Azur replied, seeming to barely hold onto his composure as he protectively stood, on all fours over top of his unconcious mate. “ Anything?” he pondered for a moment, already knowing what to ask for, as his face broke out into a grin too wide for a viscet’s face. “Hmmm.... I want your throne.” he responded nonshalontly, with an evil gleam hidden within his Amber eyes.
Obviously shocked by the proposal, the Prince stared blankly at him with his mouth dropped open. “M-my .. t-throne?” he shrieked. He glanced down at his beloved before he turned to look back up at Aynor, defeat written in his tired features. “Very well... you can have it.” He said slowly, lowering his head failure knowing he had no chance at fighting the larger Viscet that towered over him.
Aynor laughed again, a bone chilling laugh that caused Azur to cringe at the sound. “ You’re to kind Azur. I'll give you one minute to leave these lands and to take your mate with you.. but her sister stays here, she now belongs to me." he replied with a evil smirk. “You monster! what can Vyx offer you -- she's just a child!” Azur protested, outraged. “ LEVERAGE my dear boy! You try to attack, and I'll throw her off the terrace to her death, simple as that!” Aynor chuckled as he ran his claws threw his lush, golden mane.
“ You're mad! Why would you threaten a child’s life over a mere throne?” Azur asked, baffled at Aynor’s response “ Because I always get what I want.” Aynor declared as he grabbed Azur by the nose and stared into his eyes.“Now run boy, run far away and never look back; for if you do not only will I kill your beloved's sister but I will make you watch as I take Nyx’s life as well.” He said before pulling the young Prince up and ripped his ear off in one swift bite. He chuckled as he dropped the bleeding Prince back to the dusty ground.
Without another word Azur pulled Nyx onto his back before he fled his kingdom, leaving behind his home and his sister in law. ~ I will return, and I will defeat you Aynor, you can count on it.~ Azur thought as he carried Nyx away, ignoring the pain coming from where his left ear once was. He did not stop running until they reached Heatherstone, he found a clearing and rested Nyx on the ground waited for her to awaken.
Meanwhile Aynor turned and headed for the throne room. Shoving past a pastel colored Knight who spoke up “ Why are you doing this Aynor?” he asked in a solemn tone, Aynor turned and looked at him “ You know good and well why , don’t play dumb with me” He snapped before heading off
One Year Latter
((RoseWood throne room))
The Castle was Dusty, and cobwebs hung from the walls and roof, the once bright castle sat in a dark and depressing mood as even the windows were caked in a thick layer of dust that didn't allow much if any at all sunlight to shine threw. The throne room wasn't any better, Lit mostly by candles as dark curtains hung over the windows to keep the room dark and minasing.
Aynor tapped one claw on the arm rest of the throne, his head resting on the other. “ Your point in all this is?” He inquired, staring down at the old viscet that knelt before him, “ Sire, my family is starving, all I ask for is a little food, bandits took everything we had yesterday.” He whimpered, making sure to keep his head bowed to the Sapphire King.
Aynor bared his large teeth and rubbed his shiny horns in thought. “ You’re pathetic to ask for help. Your family should have fought back, then you wouldn't be here, BEGGING for my food. Out of my sight you fool, and do not come here again asking for what is rightfully MINE.” Aynor growledl. “ Y-yes Mi lord” The old Viscet said as he fled the throne room.
With a huff, Aynor ran his claws threw his fur and got to his feet, “ VYX!” He called out loudly, and a moment later a light purple Viscet entered the room. “ You called, Mi Lord?” She questioned in a timid voice, “ my horns need polishing and my mane needs brushing… Get to work. “ He said as he sat in a backless chair so the Female could work on getting the knots from his lavish golden mane.
“ Do not hurt me again, or no food tonight.” He tail swayed back and forth as he tapped his tail on the tile floor as she worked “ Yes Mi Lord, of course,” She replied simply while she worked.
(( posible Art of Azur on Throne))
~In Heatherstone Woods beyond the kingdom~
Nyx looked over at the teal colored Viscet who sat crouched by the river watching the fish, raising one of his front paws, he swiped and scooped up a large Salmon from within the rushing river. “ Nice catch, Azur!” Nyx remarked, walking over and picked up the fish. “ This will be great for dinner tonight.” She said, fluffing up happily. Azur chuckled as he stood up looking at the strawberry colored Viscet whom he loved so very much, never once had she questioned his judgement during this hard time they were in. “ Thank you my Dear. Now, how about we find us some fruit?” He asked as he moved with her away from the water. “ Oh, that sounds wonderful; the tree’s should have grown fruit by now, and the berry bushes might have some left.” She replied with a smile as she lay the fish on some rocks nearby.
Azur nodded softly before he sniffed the air, “ Yes, I agree, Stay here my dear and I’ll see what I can find.” He said before walking deeper into the woods. The year had been rough on the two of them but they had survived, Azur had lost the ability to hear out of his left ear, but the scar was not that noticeable. The painful memory, however ... was still there and he doubted it would ever go away.
~What have you been doing this past year, Aynor, have you just been lazy and enjoying all that your position now holds? Or are you distorting what I once strived to uphold, the good and kindness that a ruler should possess over his people?~ he thought as he walked. While he was outside of his former homeland, he could stand on the cliffs near by and look over what once was his home. From here he could see the barren wasteland that the once vigorous, green farms had once held, but turned into something very different compared to its former self. ~ This time of year the fields would be full and ready to harvest, but your greediness has resulted in my people starving, and for what?~
~~ RoseWood Castle~~
Aynor’s ears twitched slightly as Vyx attempted to remove a particularly troublesome knot from his mane, “ be easy you little whelp!” He snarled at her.
“ I-I’m Sorry M-mi Lord, but this Knot… It won't come out… I might have to cut it,” She mused in a timid voice. “ NO don't you dare cut my mane.” Aynor felt Vyx’s hand begin to tremble as she said, “ Sire… If I can't get it out with the brush… it’s the only--” Holding the scissors up to the fur, her attempt was futile as Aynor’s tail swat her hard upside the head. “ How dare you undermine me! “ He shouted in annoyance, leaping up and spun around, staring down at the cowering Vyx. “ I am the KING! You do NOT tell me what needs to be done! “ He growled as he raised his claws to strike the young Viscet’s muzzle.
Vyx yelped as his claws cut into her mizzle leaving her light pink nose a bit more red in color. Putting her purple paw to her nose as she whimpered in pain. “ I-I’m Sorry Mi Lord “ She said, her ears dropped back in fear of having her ears removed as Aynor had already proved he would do when he was angry, she had even seen him do it just to prove a point. “ Out of my sight, whelp.” Aynor spat swatting his tail at her again. Vyx squeaked before she ran away to hide in her room.
Once in her room Vyx sighed softly and closed the door ~ I miss you sister, so much, I hope you and Azur are safe, wherever you might be~ she thought sadly, taking out some water to clear her muzzle of the blood that stained her soft pink fur. She took out her own brush and began brushing her own mane and tail, she may be forced to work like a dog, but she would look good if she had anything to say about it.
~~~~~~~
Aynor snorted as he walked out of the throne room with his head proudly held high. Being larger than most of the other Viscets in the Kingdom the way he carried himself brought fear to the much smaller cets of the castle. He walked down the halls at a leisurely pace; leading him to the kitchen were he would gorge himself on food, and only once he was full would he allow the others to even eat one bite -- which was not much once he ate his fill. Most of the time, only the youngest of them would be able to eat, leaving the older ones, unless the young ones gave up there food, would go hungry until the next meal time.

~~~ Three Years Later ~~~
“Come on, men, keep going, we’re almost out!” Terakta muttered under his breath as he lead the other Knights out of the tunnel, to freedom. It had taken them years to find this tunnel, it had been three years since Azur was banished from the Kingdom and Aynor had done nothing but spread wrath upon the lands. He didn’t quite understand why; he had known Aynor as a boy through his father, but lost track of him once his father died.
Shaking his head away from his racing thoughts as the tunnel finally opened up into the HeatherStone Woods, Terakta held up his paw for the other Knights to halt.
“How will we find the Prince, Terakta, now that we’re out?” he turned to the Knight that had spoken, pondering for a moment. “May luck be on our side, Kera,” he responded simply, as they started moving again.
Hours past, and there was still no sign of the Prince and his mate, the Knights, along with Terakta, were beginning to lose hope fast. What if .. Azur had given up and moved far away? It had been three years after all.
That’s when he heard it, a faint noise from afar. Motioning to remain silent, he walked up ahead of his Knights, and slowly but surely moved towards the weak, but real, sound. Something cracked and split from behind some thick shrubbery.
Suddenly, a Terakta felt a cold metal pressed against the back of his neck, he froze.
“And just WHAT do you think you’re doing here, are you another one of those bandits?” a voice snarled, Terakta held his paws up, slowly turning to face his captor.
What his eyes saw took awhile for his brain to process. “...Azur?” he practically choked on the words, Azur was older now .. more mature even. His fur was dirty, and so were his clothes.. The viscet’s eyes widened as they did a double take of him.
Azur looked over Terakta, a moment later his knights appeared from behind him. “What are you all doing here?” he asked, shocked, he dropped his sword.
“We have come to take you home, Azur, where you belong.” Terakta replied proudly, putting a paw on the Prince’s shoulder.
“ You all are very brave to seek me out, but how could I ever return? I cannot fight Aynor. “ the former Prince confessed in a dispirited voice. “ Not alone you can’t; But with us all to help, you can regain your throne. You are still our Prince and we are here to help you.”
“Terakta, it has been so long!” Azur broke into a happy smile, it was wonderful to see such an old friend again, walking over and embracing him. The old scarred ‘cet chuckled, “it’s good to see you to Azur, you have grown much over these past years,” He remarked, looking the teal colored Prince over. “And you have a few more scars since the last time I saw you.” Azur frowned at the old ‘cets ears. “ Ah yes, the “King” Punishes all who oppose him by either removing or painfully scaring ones ears,” He said, nodding to Azur’s own ear “ But i see you already know that” He said.
Azur sighed, touching the scar where his ear once was. “ Yes… I did.” he replied, “ Is Vyx alright?” He asked concerned over his mates sister. “ Yes… She is doing fine.” Terakta said, shifting from foot to foot. “ Good… I’m glad she's alright.” Azur said sighing with relief to learn she was alive.
~~~~~~
Aynor paced his room in annoyance ~ 3… 3 left… this can’t be good.. ~ He thought as he paused and looked out the window. ~ I won't let them retake this castle father, I promised you that I would make them pay for what they did.~ he thought as he dropped his ears. ~ You couldn't hear my vow because of the former King. ~ you were his best Knight, why would he turn on you? When you did nothing wrong?~ he thought, sighing softly. There was a knock on his door and he quickly shook away his thoughts “WHAT!?” He snapped as he stormed over to the door and opened it with one swift move of an arm.
“ M-mi Lord… I-I got a List of all who left,” Vyx’s said holding out some paper to the large Viscet who snatched it from her claws. He looked over it and growled at the names on the list “ All the Golden Claw Knights?! HOW! HOW DID THEY LEAVE WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE!” He exclaimed angrily, grabbing Vyx in anger. “ M-m-mi lord…. T-they might have found one of the old underground tunnels somehow,” She whimpered, laying her ears flat hoping to not lose them to the angry viscet.
Aynor’s ears perked up, “ OF COURSE! The old tunnels! Why didn't I think of that!” He remarked, dropping Vyx. “ Good girl Vyx.. you can Keep your ears,” He smirked, patting her head before shoving past her to locate the tunnels himself.
Vyx sighed softly as he left ~That was weird,~ She thought, watching the large ‘cet run down the hall.
She turned and walked back to her own room.

Azur walked up to Terakta and spoke. “ Terakta… I need you to train me, so I can fight him when the time comes, unless I can talk with him without fighting.” He shrugged.
“ There may be no talking to him, but I will train you my Prince, I will make sure you are ready to reclaim your throne.” He said, looking around at his fellow Knights, who nodded. “ Thank you my friend,” Azur said with a soft smile.

In the Tunnels/Castle
~~~~~
Aynor looked around and sniffed the air, ~Hmm, they did come threw hear.~ he thought as he followed their sent and paw prints on the dusty ground. He passed by the area of the underground room and tunnels where they buried their dead and he lay his ears back, putting a paw against the cold door. ~Father…~ he thought, sudden emotion filling his eyes, before shaking his head and continued on his way down the dark tunnel.
Once he found the exit, he stepped out finding that it lead outside the city walls. ~Need to close this up, or they will use it to get back in,~ he thought, turning and returned inside, were he ordered the remaining guards to close up the tunnels and guard them.
Knowing that they would find Azur, and with there help would try and retake the city, he began to train, working on building himself up more, in preparation for this impending battle that he was sure would soon come knocking at his door.
But he couldn't find it in himself to harm Vyx having grown to like the young Cet and didn't wish to harm her. So he would just leave her be, maybe lock her away but he would not kill such a delicate flower such as Vyx.
~Have I gone soft on her? Everytime I want to hurt her I can’t anymore. Those scars on her nose, they’re my fault and everytime I see them it pains me to know I did that..~ Aynor thought as he walked quietly down the hall to return to his throne room. ~ I must not let anyone see or know,~ he murmured, shaking his head in frustration.
“ Watch you footing Azur, and keep you tail up. He can use it to trip you if you allow him to trap it under foot.” Terekta remarked as he demonstrated by stepping on Azur’s tail; causing the Teal Viscet to fall. “You must remember Azur, your opponent has their weaknesses as well, you must find a way to defeat them without exploiting it, but if need be you must know these. Remember, your hind legs and tail can be used as well, the tail can be used to daze an opponent.” he said, lightly swatting Azur in the head with his tail.
“ If you’re trapped on your belly, or even, a quick kick with your hind legs can stagger the opponent if they’re behind you, but if they’re in front of you, you can launch yourself from the ground into their chest, even a large Viscet like Aynor will stagger or even topple over,” Terekta stated, turning away, only to have Azur slam into his back and pin him to the ground. “Very good Azur, you took the opening and took me down… I let my guard down and you noticed. Always be observant of you opponent” He said, catching his breath a little with a small chuckle.
Azur got off him before helping him up, “ I was wondering if you did that on purpose.” He laughed softly, “ No, I was too busy talking that I let my guard down,” Terekta remarked. “ A few more lessons and you will be ready My Prince!”
Aynor ran his golden claws over the stones of the walls; one to leave scratch marks and two to sharpen them. The sound of the scratches made from his claws on the stones caused the two guards by the door to flinch. This didn't go unnoticed by the large Viscet who turned his gaze to them, he examined his claws before walking over to the two.
“ Do my claws not meet your liking?” He asked, holding them up for the two to see. “ They’re sharp, like your eyes Mi Lord.. “ One of the guards spoke up, “ then tell me, why did you flinch?” He questioned, threatening to slap him. “ J-just the sound Sire -- I assure you it was just the sound,” He replied. “ What? This sound?” Aynor said, scraping his claws over the wall next to the guards head.
The Guard tried not to flinch at the sharp sound of Aynor’s claws on the stone. “ Is this the sound that makes you weak!” Aynor snarled. “ I am not weak.. it… is just a painful sound,” He replied in return. “ I can make it so you can’t hear it at all” Aynor said snapping his teeth close to the guards ear. “ But why take your ears when I can just enjoy your pain.” He chuckled before walking away.
The Guard relaxed a bit glad they he would be able to keep his ears for another day.
(Villains song)
Silent Ears
When I was just a little Tike my mother said to me
Take every day in stride my son and don't forget your own
But then one tragic summer day i lost all that, that i held dear
It was all lost on silent ears.
So now I stand before the crowds to judge them as i please
For the pain of my tragic past will forever be Lost on Silent Ears
As I walk these lonely halls, I see my people cower in fear
at just the sight of me.
But In my mind i do not care, for they are who wronged me
They all just stood on by as i lost everything.
For my cries of pain went unheard as they fell upon Silent Ears
Vyx having heard him singing peeked out of her room, to see the large ‘cet with his paws against the wall and his head bowed. And she swore she could hear him crying. ~What in the world?~ She thought, slightly confused. As he moved she slipped back into her room and quietly closed her door, hoping he had not noticed her.
~That’s very odd for him..~ she pondered.
“ Very good Azur, you have grown into a great warrior in less time then it took me.” Terekta chuckled as he patted Azur’s head. “ Thank you my friend, now .. it is time to take back our home.” Azur said in a confident voice.
Nyx walked up and stood beside him, “ let us get our home back shall we?” She asked looking at her mate with her pink eyes. Azur was confidently looking a head of him, his red and golden eyes burning with confidence. Where he had once been a scared Prince chased from his home he now stood there, looking like a true leader as he gathered his Knights to reclaim there home.
~~~~~~
“ Sire!” A guard called out as he ran into the throne room, “ What is it?” Aynor asked in an annoyed tone,
“ There…. There's an army … its Azur and the Knights.. They just crossed the river.” he said.
“ I knew that little Brat would challenge me, very well let then, come.. I’ll put him down for good this time.” Aynor snarled, getting up. He looked at his claws before walking from the throne room.
As he walked out of the Castle he could see people fleeing inside and even his guards hid not wanting to be involved with the fight between their Prince and the Tyrant that had ruled them for the past few years. ~Weaklings~ Aynor thought growling as he went to meet Azur at the Gates.

The Fight
(( Possible Art ))
~~~~
“AYNOR!” Azur called out, he voice echoing in the silence as he stepped forward from the group if Knights.“ Well well well, look who we have here. I thought I told you never to return?” Aynor growled at him as he stepped out of the gates to meet the group. Nyx, who stood next to Azur gave him a soft nuzzle before she retreated to the safety of the Knights. With his mate safe Azur stepped forward to face Aynor alone.“ I challenge you for the Throne Aynor” Azur declared, lifting his head in confidence to stare down the much larger viscet before him.
Aynor chuckled and bared his teeth, licking them with his tongue as he unsheathed his claws and lowered his head to focus his Amber eyes on the Teal competitor before him. He growled as he struck first, rushing at Azur and aiming to strike a blow with his claws to his neck, But Azur dropped to all fours to avoid the blow , noticing this Aynor launched down trying to snap his jaws around the back of Azur’s neck but due to this Azur was able to rear up quickly and slam his head into Aynor’s neck knocking the wind from the larger viscet and caused him to stagger back coughing.
“ Give it up Aynor, please. I don’t want to hurt you .. We were friends once.” Azur begged as he took a step back, but never once took his eyes off Aynor. “ Friend?! How dare you think of me as your friend… not after you abandoned me.” Aynor hissed lunging at Azur with his teeth bared ready to snap onto any part of Azur’s body he got close to. But Azur was quicker and leaped out of the way. “ Abandoned you? What are you talking about? You are the one who turned your back on me,” Azur said in a confused tone.
“ Don’t act like you don't remember, you just as Pathetic as your father was!” Aynor exclaimed, turning on Azur again and snapped at him, almost catching the teal viscets nose. Azur took this opportunity and closeness to swat Aynor upside the head, hard, with his paw, making sure to keep his claws sheathed as the not harm him to much. Though the power behind the blow was enough to stagger Aynor and make his head spin. With him dazed, Azur took this opening to slam his weight into him with enough force to knock him off his feet. Aynor as his vision cleared found himself gazing into the eyes of the golden eyed teal Cet who pinned him to the ground.
“ I am Azur, Son of King Alor, Heir to the throne of RoseWood and you WILL stand down Aynor.” He growled at the large blue viscet he had pinned to the ground “ Now tell me Aynor… Why did you turn your back on Family?” He asked growling.
“ Why do you care? “ Aynor questioned, staring back at him. “ Because you’re my Cousin.. Why wouldn't I care about you?” Azur asked, confused. “Because when your father killed mine you didn't show me any mind!” Aynor snapped loudly, “ That? That’s why you’re angry? How is that anyone's fault Aynor?” Azur shook his head, more confused than ever.
“ I … believe I can answer that,” Terakta abruptly cut in after a short pause, as he stepped forward. “ You see ... on a hunting trip King Alor had a run in with a Rabid Fox, and for a while we all believed he was fine,” Terakta bowed his head, continuing. “ but then he turned on us. Had it not been for your Father, Aynor, he probably would have hurt a lot of people. He sacrificed himself to save everyone, especially you. It hurt him to see his brother in so much pain. While he never wanted to have to put him down, it was in the best interest of anyone that he did. Like a True Knight your father fought to protect the Kingdom from a threat that could have turned into something much worse.” Terakta said with a solemn expression as he helped the both of them up.
“Lier!” Aynor hissed at him swatting his hand away and got up himself “ I have never heard of a Viscet getting Rabies” He snorted and swatted his claws at Terakta who just grabbed his arm “ Listen to me Aynor! That fox that attacked Alor was Rabid, it transferred the disease to him. While we thought he was alright he wasn't. The sickness drove him insane, he tried to attack his own mate and your father jumped in the way to protect her. “ Terakta said with an iron grip on Aynors arm. “ Why should I Believe you” Aynor Growled “ you kept me from saying goodbye! You didn't let me help him!” He hissed “ because he was already dead before you got there!” Terakta snapped causing Aynor to freeze in shock
Aynor lowered his ears and bowed his head slightly. “ I… didn't realize that is what happened. I thought our King had killed him because he was jealous of my father's strength..” He said closing his eyes tightly, “ I hurt so many viscets… because I didn't know the whole story.” He looked up at Azur, “ now i understand… you were grieving as well.. You lost you father.. And uncle.. Same as me..” He remarked, sighing and shook his head.
“ I know, and I understand your pain Aynor… and I forgive you.” Azur said slowly, putting a paw on his shoulder.
“ You… would just forget everything I’ve done? “ Aynor asked in a stunned tone.
“ Of course I would, it's what family does.” Azur replied with a soft smile, “ Come on, let us return home.. We have a lot of work to do.” Azur said with a bright smile.
“ Yes, I agree, we have much to do before you are crowned King.” Terakta said, nodding to Azur.
~~~~~
As Azur and the GoldenClaw knights walked into the city the other Viscets began coming from their hiding places. Some bowed before the Prince, others Knelt. Others, weirdly eyed the large blue viscet in their midst. Once he reached the steps leading up to the Castle, Azur stopped and turned facing his people “ people of RoseWood, Today I return to you. I vow that from today on that none shall ever harm you again. I promise to be a just and fair ruler just as my father was and his father before him.” Azur promised as he held his head high, “ Of anyone needing aid or help do not fear to ask, myself or my Knights will all be happy to help.” He said looking at Aynor who had whispered something in his ear and he nodded softly stepping aside
“ Everyone… I truly wish to apologize for my actions and my abuse. I was angry and I didn't realize in my anger that I was hurting everyone. My pain drove me to do things that I’m not proud of. So today I stand before you and ask for you forgiveness.” He said looking out at the people with his amber eyes. But nobody spoke at first then a shy timid voice spoke from the door of the castle “ I forgive you.” Vyx said looking at him from where she stood. “ Thank you, Vyx.” Aynor said bowing his head in thanks to the young light purple Viscet. “ Anyone strong enough to admit they did wrong deserves forgiveness.” Nyx ventured as she walked up to her sister, nuzzling her glad to see she was safe. “ That I have to agree with; your father would be very proud of you, Aynor.” Azur said.

“ All Hail King Azur and Queen Nyx!” The people chanted as they all knelt before the new king and Queen of the Kingdom. Off to the side of the room stood the GoldenClaw Knights, Vyx stood near the back of the room but still off to the side of the newly crowned pair. Aynor stood beside her quietly. “ Thank you, everyone.” Azur said smiling as he looked over at Aynor “ Aynor, please come here a moment,” He beckoned, stepping forward a bit… Aynor confused came and stood before him. “ Yes sire?” He asked bowing his head. “ Azur smiled at him and spoke “ Aynor the past month you have proven to be a very resourceful person. And I would like to appoint you a trainee to become a Goldenclaw like you father… “ Azur said.
Aynor looked up at him in shock his jaw dropped slightly “ M-my lord it would be a great honor, but… do I deserve it after… what I did?” He asked. Azur chuckled softly, “ Aynor remember this, the past is the past, it's the future you must look to. So yes… I say you deserve this chance.” He said looking at Vyx, “ Besides, I have a sister-in-law that needs a strong bodyguard.” He said giving him a soft wink.
Aynor rubbed his neck slightly and smiled, not sure what else to say to him so he just bowed his head, “ Thank you.” He murmured softly.

The Diary OF Aynor
Entry 1
I don't understand the whole reason behind owning a Diary, some say it's a good way to remember things, others say it's a way to cope with pain or depression. Umm.. I don't know what to write, honestly…
My name is Aynor, and I’m the Son of a GoldenClaw Knight.
I live with my family in a Kingdom known as Rosewood. My Mother runs a shop in town where she sells fruit… and sometimes flowers. Since I have no siblings the closest thing I have is my cousin Azur, and get this, He's a Prince! My father's brother is the King! Does that make us Royalty in some way? It’s a cool thought.
I wonder what it’s like to being in charge of so many people.
Losing Mother
Entry 5
I never thought much on what I'd do if I lost someone I loved. I always believed I had all the time in the world to be with my family. That, nothing bad would ever happen to them. Maybe I should have thought about it more, before mother.. Before she became sick… before that sickness that took so many from RoseWood, I hadn't ever… thought.. That my own mother would just… be gone one day, one day here, and the next.. Just gone.. I believed she would be fine, so I didn't bother her, I wanted her to rest and get better. Just like my father did; but he stayed with her, every night, every day.
I think, I lost a part of my innocence around this time. I never looked at the world the same again after the epidemic of Blackcough, that plagued the Kingdom for many months at the time. I saw so many in beds, fighting for their lives; coughing uncontrollably, and so much sweat dripping from their brows, but at the same time, they shook, as if cold. But many weren't strong enough to make it through.
I was still quite young though, so I was looking at it from a viscling's point of view. The parents, and doctors would usher the children away from the the sick ones. Be it their friends sick, or someone even closer to them.
I went to school one day, just like any other day really; I went through the motions with my books, talked to my friends. Walking home and entering the house, the air just seemed .. different than normal.
Colder, uninviting. As if saying, don't come any closer.
I slowly made it closer to the room where my mother had been the past week, father had said she had improved some since yesterday before I left for school. He couldn't have been wrong, could he?
I inched closer, holding my breath for fear of what I might see. A shiver ran down my spine as I opened the door, a rush of cold air hit me in the face, and there was my father .. beside my mother, her eyes closed, and him, crying.
My father never cried, never.
I shook my head back and forth violently, taking a few swift, shaky steps steps backwards. And just .. laid my back to the wall, silent.
I knew then, that she was dead. And I had left her, alone. I never even got to say goodbye, it had all happened too fast.
Father had told me it's best that I stayed away or I might have gotten sick as well, but how can I be glad that I'm still here when my mother isn't.. How am I going to go on now, without her?
When he found me in the hall, Dad told me I have to stay inside where he can keep me safe… but what kind of life is being a prisoner in your own home?
Meeting Terakta:
“ Come Aynor, there is someone I want you to meet,” I remember my father saying as he woke me up early.
I had just turned 13 and my father finally felt comfortable with letting me out of the house for the first time since mother died. “ Huh, really? Okay!” I replied enthusiastically as I got up from my warm bed. He soon lead me outside, the sunlight burned my eyes as I stepped out into its rays for the first time in ages it felt like.
Walking along the streets with him I remember seeing everyone moving about the city, some worked on buildings, others were out with friends and family. Younger Viscets chasing each other through the city, their laughter and happiness reminded me at how lonely life had been locked inside. I wonder how my cousin was, it been a while since I'd seen him. Though figured as Prince he was most likely busy.
“ Come on Aynor, keep up.” My father called out with a small laugh, shaking me from my daze of thought as I quickened my pace to catch up with him. “Where are we going?” I asked him curiously, as I looked up at the strong Viscet I admired so much, longing to be like him. “ As I said, There is someone I want you to meet.” My father, Valor, replied. “ Who?” I asked, slightly confused. “A good Friend of mine,” Was all my father said, tilting his head slightly to look down at me. But he said no more so I didn't ask. He lead me to the barracks where the GoldenClaw Knights stayed if they didn't have there own home or, just to have a place to relax or get ready for anything. As he lead me in I was excited to finally have a chance to see where my father worked.
He lead me up to a multi colored Viscet, “ Aynor, I would like you to meet Terakta, he’s my 2nd in command and one of my best friends.” My father said. “ Hello there young one, it’s a pleasure to meet the son of Valor,” He said with a pleasant smile, kneeling to my height.
Me? … Son of Valor.. I never thought about how that sounded before, I hope I really can live up to my family's honor.
Hide and Seek Gone Wrong
Am I Supposed to write these in order?
I don’t care, not like anyone is ever going to read this. Right?.
Back when I was still young, and had yet to develop the ability to walk on my hind legs, I was playing with my cousin and our two friends. We had all voted on playing a game called Hide and Seek. But us being the naive young Viscets we were, we decided to.. Well, we decided to sneak out of the city and play in the woods. Yes, Yes I know. Bad idea, take the Prince into the spooky forest along with two other kids. Good idea Aynor, real good idea.
Problem was we would have to cross the river to get to the woods and the only bridge... was always guarded. So we begin looking for another way across.
We found a spot with some rocks that managed to stay just slightly out of the rushing water, and decided to use them. Azur went first, jumping from rock to rock to the other side with ease. The sisters jumped over next. Then it was my turn.
I hesitated, staring into the river that seemed to be tempting me with its power. Taking the first step, I started to slip, but caught myself. The next rock came up, and it was just slightly wet. This time, I felt my foot lose its grip on the rock. With a splash, I felt the cold water sink into my fur as I was pulled under the surface I realized it was moving much faster than I originally thought. I tried to swim but the raging water was too much for my small viscling body.
I felt something grab me by the back of my neck and pull me out of the water. Who ever had me wasn't my dad, I knew his grip and this wasn't him. “ I’m sorry dad…” I remember hearing Azur say but I blacked out after that.
My Favorite Toy
Image
One of my most prized possessions is a little stuffed Me that my mother made for me. It’s just a little stuffed viscet that looks like me! I was stuck inside one winter day because of a bad snowstorm. My mother came into the living room with some fabrics and things. I always enjoyed watching her create things so I happily sat there and watched, I soon realized what she was creating. While the plush ended up not having my horns, i didn't care, i had a stuffed toy that looked like me .. and reminds me of my mother.
*allot of pages are ripped out after this entry*
Dad…
I don't even care anymore, why do I bother coming back to this damn book. I guess it’s the only thing that will listen to me. Dad left this morning on a hunting trip with the other Knights and the King. I waited for them to return. They did, but Uncle Alor was injured, they said he was attacked by a fox and would be alright.
But… something happened. Dad wasn't home when he said he would be, so I went to meet him at the Barracks, but when I got there, what I saw was a blood-filled mess.
There were tables turned over, various items and even a window smashed, violent claw marks covered parts of the floor and walls, and blood.
As I continued to walk, I turned a corner, and saw something that I hope to God no one else will ever have to see, but I know there will be others. I at first only saw the tail of a viscet, it was torn with scratches. Their body became visible, with their fur horribly mangled, with red liquid oozing for many different places of their large body.
Despite other viscets telling me to stay away, I inched even closer to the viscet, my brain finally connecting with my eyes; it was my father. I ran to his side, only to be shoved away by one of the other knights, including Terakta. “ Stay back kid,” He ordered in a stern but broken voice. I looked up at him, tears beginning to blur my vision, angry that he wouldn't let me close to my dying father… I pleaded with him, attempting to fight past Terakta, but to no avail, he wouldn’t budge, and was much stronger than me.
I couldn’t even say goodbye to him ... just like my mother.
So I just, ran, hiding away from the world, left to nothing but my own thoughts.
A few days later I finally came out, the solemn sadness that seemed to coat the city was heavy; they were grieving for their King… They were grieving for a killer. I tried to go see my cousin, but they wouldn't let me. He was the only family I had left, and they wouldn't let me see him.
Well, they’re all going to pay, someday, somehow… they will all PAY.
*No Title*
“ I went into town today, to stock up on food. Not a single person stopped to ask me how I was, it’s like they didn't know or care that I had lost my father, or how tired I look. I have not slept in days, I’m constantly haunted by nightmares. I think I’m going to leave for a while, just get away from the city and everyone else. I doubt Azur would even care if I left, besides he’ll be King one day and won't have time for me.

Duties of the King
Who do these people think they are? Coming to me begging for my help when none of them helped me? They’re wrong, I’m not going to help anyone. Why should I help or care about anyone when they didn't care enough about me after I lost my own father. I am now the King and I can do whatever I want, no more will people look down at me or shun me aside. No more will I be the underdog.
The Nightmare:
Hmp, been a while since i wrote anything in this thing. But there's nobody I can talk to, no one that won't think me weak, that is. I will not let anyone ever think of me as weak, never again will I be ignored because of weakness.
But lately, I’ve been having this recurring nightmare. Azur returns with an army to reclaim his home but in doing so I end up like my father.. Bleeding and dying and nobody caring. He doesn't even seem to care that his own family is dying before him… it’s just a dream I know, but, it’s still bothering me.

Aynor stood on a balcony looking out over the city, Azur had given him his own room within the castle with a view of the city.
“ Lovely view, isn't it?” A voice came from behind him and he turned to see his Cousin King Azur.
“ Hello Azur… Yes, it is a lovely view.” He replied back, sighing softly. “ Is something wrong, Aynor?” Azur asked coming to stand by his cousin.
“ It’s nothing… just.. How can you just forgive me after everything I did?” He asked, looking into the eyes of Azur. “ Because you're family, it’s what family does; we forgive. “ He said slowly.
“ I found something I think you would like to have,” Azur remarked suddenly, shifting the subject and pulling a sheath with some sort of sword in it from his side and handed it to Aynor. “ This was your Father's sword, Terakta found it and we want you to have it,” He said smiling softly as Aynor took the sheath in his paws and stared down at the handle of the sword, it held the Goldenclaw Knights Crest, with the leather strapping handle adorning a dark blue with gold tassels hanging from hand guard which was a rose gold color.
Drawing the blade from within its sheath, he marveled at how it shone in the sunlight, soon his eyes fell to the carvings on the blade itself. He pondered the intricate carvings for a moment, his Father had once told him about his sword as a boy, and what the ruins meant.
The runes carved into the blade when translated, would mean Courage.
“ Thank you Azur, This means a lot to me,” He said wiping a few tears from his amber eyes. Now he had something to remember his father buy, just as he had the stuffed toy his mother had made him to remember her by.
“ I knew you would want it. Remember Aynor, You are the Son of Valor, The son of Courage, When I look at you I see him. I see the same strength and courageousness that your father had, in you. You just have to remember Who you are and you will never be alone again. Because you Father Lives in you, just as he does for many of us. His memory will always live strong in all of us.” Azur said looking out over the City. Aynor looked back at him, “ and in you I see your father, a wise and just King who cares deeply for his people. “ He replied, “ I wish I had known him better than I did. “ He sighed softly as he stood by Azur’s side. “ Thank you Aynor, I just hope that I can live up to the standards that my Father held.” Azur replied. “ I’m sure you will Azur, you are a great leader. You always have been.” Aynor responded, putting a paw on Azur’s shoulder.
The Grand Ball
Decorations hung from the banisters, windows and rafters. Extravagant tables decorated in flowers and candles held many types of fruits and other small snacks. To one side of the room it had been cleared and had a few Viscets dancing to the soft music that played from the Band. Everything seemed perfect, everyone was happy and with family and friends. But with Azur busy doing his kingly duties, that didn't seem to slow down even for the Ball. Aynor sighed softly leaning against one of the marble pillars that lined the center of the room. Vyx looked at the large blue Viscet who looked quite handsome in the outfit he had chosen for the Ball. She walked over to him. “ Want to Dance?” She asked him holding out a paw for him to take. Aynor blinks at her shocked at the request but he smiled and took her paw “ Sure, i would love to” He said as she lead her to the dance floor where she rested her other paw against his chest, being he was taller than her and she couldn't reach his shoulder.
Aynor looked down at the soft purple Viscet that he had once held prisoner. How could she just want to dance with him after everything. He looked at the small scars on her muzzle that he had caused. “ Does your nose ever hurt?” He asked her out of curiosity “ Huh? Oh.. that, no it dont” she said shaking her head slightly so the pale blue vail lay over the scars. Aynor looked at her before looking her in the eyes, the beautiful pools of blue that shimmers like the stars. His heart skipped a beat, he had never really thought about how beautiful she was. “ Aynor? Are you alright?” She asked him snapping him out of his thoughts “ Y-yeah i’m alright” He said
“Are you sure? Your heart to pounding like a drum, do you need to sit down?” Vyx asked clearly concerned over him. Aynor sighed and rested his paw under her chin “ Dont be, i.. Just have never noticed how beautiful your eyes are” He said to her in a very nervous tone of voice “ Well your eyes are quite handsome ya know” She replied softly. Aynor smiled back at her his Amber eyes shining softly “ that's very nice to hear coming from you Vyx” He said rubbing his neck slightly “ Will...will you be mine?” He asked her. Vyx blinked at him in shock at the question, but then she smiled softly at him “ Of course” She replied
Scouting with Terakta
((Overcoming a fear isn't easy, but with a friends help its not as hard))
“Come Aynor, your joining me on this Scoring mission” Terakta said nudging Aynor awake early one morning. “Scouting mission? For what?” Aynor asked with a yawn. As he got up he stretched and ran his claws threw his mane. “ Because we have to check our borders,” Teraka replied simply “Didn't Azur expand our borders recently?” He asked “ Yes, he did, we now own part of Heatherstone woods” Terakta replied as he picked up a leather sack and pulled it over his shoulders “ Get anything you need and meet me outside “ With that said the Pastel colored Viscet left the barracks. Aynor picked up his own bag that held a few things, his Diary and the stuffed toy his mother made him. Picking up his sword he pulled it on his back as well before following Terakta outside. “Are you ready?” The Goldenclaw leader asked turning to look at the large sapphire colored Viscet. “ Yes, I am” Aynor replied with a soft nodd of the head “ Very well, Let's go” Terakta replied.
The older pastel Viscet lead Aynor out of the town and headed down towards the farms were they grew fruits and nuts, and even harvested fish from the river and lake that there farms surrounded. “ So why do we do this?” Aynor asked walking alongside Terakta “ Well For one, it's to see if the other Cet’s that live outside the city need anything. But it’s also to check for Wild Animals that could harm us in anyway.” He said looking at Aynor for a moment before turning to watch where he was going. He lead Aynor down alongside the river and once they got to a shallow part he walked across and turned looking back at Aynor, who hesitated by the water, staring at it “ Aynor, your fine. It’s not deep enough for you to fall in” Terakta said shaking his head slightly. Aynor sighed softly and stepped into the shallow water, just fur stood on end as he did so and he pulled back. “ I.. Can't” He said with a soft whimper
Aynor, you Can. Just try again.” Terakta said as he patiently tried to help Aynor overcome his fear. The large blue Viscet took a deep breath and stepped forward, placing his left foot into the cool water, feeling the gentle movement. He slowly moved his over to step a head of the other, feeling the small pebbles move slightly under his wight. Causing him to flinch slightly. “ Thats is Aynor, your doing good, just a few more steps” Terakta said to encourage the younger Viscet.
Aynor took slow steps and soon was on the other side of the river. “ Very good Aynor, See. You can face your fears if you just try” the pastel Viscet Said putting a paw on Aynor’s shoulder “ Come, we need to keep going.” He said turning and began walking. Aynor looked back at the water and then headed to follow Terakta. The Duo traveled along the edges of the farms were large beautiful fruit trees grew. One of the farmers walked up to them “Hello Terakta, Aynor… How are you two doing today? “ She asked them “ I am doing very well “ Terakta said with a smile. “ I’m doing good as well, thank you for asking” Aynor said looking at the trees “ I’m glad you were able to save the tree’s. There so lovely this time of year” He said drooping his ears. “ Don’t worry about it, we know how to care for our trees.” The young farmer chuckled softly.
“ Very well, Is there anything you need?” Terakta asked her. The farmer shook her head “ No i don't think there is anything we need. Not until the harvest “ She added. “ Very well, We will check in on you before then” he replied before turning to Aynor “ Come “ He said simply before heading off once more.
They spent most of the morning making there way thru the farms as other Viscets would stop them to speak with them. Bt the time they made it to the other River that ran along the other side of the farms Terakta slowed “ Let's catch us some lunch and rest before we continue on” He said setting his bag down and walked over to the river. Aynor sat down and watched him, He didn't know how to fish, plus he still didn't trust water.
Soon they had some food sat quietly as they ate their food. After they finished Terakta stood and looked around. “ I’m sorry Aynor but there isn't a shallow sport here “ He said looking at the Sapphire Viscet. Aynor sighed softly and looked at the water, the memory of falling into the water as a Viscling causing him to trimple slightly, only to have a gentle paw rest on his shoulder as Terakta crouched to be eye level with him “ Aynor, i know you're scared, but you can do this. You are strong and brave like your father. Just stay behind me and you will be fine, I promise” He said “ If it helps you can told onto my tail” He chuckled softly.
Aynor got up and nodded “ Alright, let’s go” He said turning to the river, allowing Terakta to go a head of him before he followed. He watched as the older viscet stepped into the water and waded into the water, that reaches up to his knees. Aynor took a deep breath before he followed. Soon they were both out on the other side “ See, you can do anything you set your mind to” With that said hey continued on.
The rest of the journey was easy and asid from the creek they had to cross it was fairly dry. By the time they made it to the Heatherstone woods it was sunset and they settled in for the night. When morning came they continued on by the time they made it back to the river, they turned and made for the main road where they could use the bridge to return to town “ Well now that was fun, I'll take you along next time Aynor” Terakta said looking a him. “ Alright, sounds good” Aynor said.

Galaxy in a Jar:
❛❛ One of the many things I was given by Merlin was a Jar, at first I didn't understand the reason behind it, but then he did something amazing... he took a small handful of pure white sand, and infusing his magic into the sand, within the space of the jar he created what appeared to be a miniature galaxy. He told me that, with a solemn expression, what was in the jar was the very magic that he himself used. I could use it to speak with him if needed, but it was also a guide to lead me back to him if I ever became lost. I keep the jar close at all times, it helps me when I get too deep into the thoughts of my past or I have lost my way. All I must do is whisper the words taught to me and I can find my way once more. ❜❜
Extra (500 words or 1 art piece):
❛❛ Hello ... my name is Alekus. My life has changed a lot over the past few years, for more than a few reasons. I tremble when I think of my early childhood; how cold and harsh my father was, he tried to make me like him, but I refused. He barely kept me alive, I survived off of the crumbs he threw me and my mother every once and awhile, he didn't even blink when mother died, but I suspect he never cared about her, not even before I was born. So, at the age of sixteen I ran. I ran as far as I could away from that horrible viscet. He was not my father, he never was. Not once did he ever do something good, all he did; and he enjoyed it, was cause me humiliation and suffering.
I try the best I can to block the memories .. but it is impossible.
After running away from my "father" I was lost, alone, and afraid.
But, somehow, he found me. An elderly man by the name of Merlin, found me wandering about aimlessly near his home. I was starved and was near pneumonia -- and he saved me.
At first, I thought him very odd; always saying peculiar gibberish and poems, and I didn't understand how it was possible for him to understand me. But he taught something very important, that I keep with me close to my heart to this day. Before Merlin, I thought I could never be someone with my past, but he helped me greatly in realizing I could still be loved and have a home, because the past is the past; it can't hurt you if you don't allow it to. He also taught me how to read the human tongue, with much patience from Merlin, I mastered it.
I even met the Human King after living with Merlin for a time, he seemed skeptical about me at first, but gifted me this crest around my neck to mark me as a friend to his people, making it a crime if any human of his land ever tried to harm me.
Though I still don't fully understand humans strange ways, I'm happy to have friends that I can truly count on.
Despite the overwhelming support and love I receive from the humans, in the darkest hours of the night, my mind begins to wander back to my past. I find myself waking up, utterly frightened out of my mind with tears streaming down my face. No matter what I do, I can't lie and say I will never have such horrid nightmares again. However, I can turn to my Jar of Stars after a nightmare, and find my way home once more, to peace. ❜❜
