"I have no other to turn to. My kingdom has been slowly dying and I know not why. There is a reason but I can't find out. Let's go. I prefer not to speak more here." he spoke softly with a bit of puzzlement and concern.

"The one and only. Now what do you want?" James asked.

Wolfegang was glad to get away from his father. He went to both shops and bought all that was needed and more. He just felt that he was going to stay here for quite some time.
"Is there anything that you wish to do, see or buy while we are in town?" King asked as he tried to keep Avalon out of the wind.

"Very well then. Bring her belongings in first then the new slave. I will show you where to put them." James spoke wishing that the driver would hurry up.

All was bought and ready to be loaded up. Stephanwolfe was standing and waiting by 5 trunks of supplies with his back towards the wind.
"Then lets get out of this beastly wind. I only hope that Eric get back soon. The book shop will be as good of a place as any to wait and he will pull up there anyways." King Albert guided her to the store.

"Not much.....Bring her inside. You had best hurry to where ever you are going for the winds are blowing the snow." James spoke as he took the bag.
King Albert open the door for her and noticed that Stephanwolfe was waiting on the carriage with quite a few trunks. He went inside and handed Avalon a pouch of money.

"Try to find something that will help us with the spider bite and maybe an ID or guide or something like that. It will take Eric a few minutes to straighten out the trunks and load them." he spoke.

James put his poker face on but held out his hand for the key.
"The key if you please. Then follow me."
Albert stood at the window while Avalon shopped. it wasn't too long before Eric was there. Stephanwolfe actually did the work of placing the trunks and tying them down. He was impressed with the lad.

"Fine. Now leave and closed the door tightly. I will handle it from here." James spoke as he took charge of the woman.
He unlocked the chains that bounded her and pointed to a cell room.

"Inside even if it doesn't please you. No funny tricks either. The King will hear all in my report. Do you want anything to eat or drink?" James asked.
"Thank you for being so cooperative. I shall find you something to eat. I will give you your satchel as soon as King Alfred has a look in it and says that it may be returned to you." James spoke as he smiled at Zari.

He went to the kitchen to find something for her to eat and to see if the King had returned yet.

Since everything was loaded up, King Albert saw no reason why they should not leave if Lady Avalon was ready.

"Hey there, beautiful." he whispered into Avalon's small delicate ear.
"Everything is loaded up and ready with Stephanwolfe inside. Are you ready to leave?"
"Let's brave the wind. I don't expect an easy ride home with this wind." Albert spoke as his arm slid around her waist so that he could support Avalon more was they walked to the carriage.
Once they arrived at the carriage, Albert opened the door and made sure that she got inside safely.
A sudden gust of wind blew the door out of his hand, knocking Albert down.

"Blasted wind.....I am already physically." he spoke as he slowly got up.

Stephanwolfe quickly got out and assisted Albert into the carriage then he got back inside and closed the door.

Eric quickly drove the wagon into the wind and to the castle slowly. The carriage swaying in the wind as it went.

James came back with a bread bowl of steaming stew and a mug of mead that was warmed. He sat the food on a table then opened the cell.
"Come and get your food now. Eat up for it will not be more until next meal."
"We are in for a very cold spell from the way it feels. I will be interested in what Wolfegang has to say about this weather and such." Albert spoke as he put his arm around Avalon.
"Not a good day to shop on, is it my dear?"

James went back to the kitchen to see what would happen once she finished her food. Was she to be trusted or not was the object of this testing.
"So you did find a few things that help Kadern. Good. I was hoping that you would." Albert spoke.

"What happened to Prince Kadern?" Stephanwolfe asked quietly look at one than the other.

Once James we finished polishing the silverwear, he went back to check on Zari. He was glad that she went back to her cell which was good. He closed the door and took the tray away to be washed up.
"A spider bite? That's not good news at all. The doctor didn't give a good prognosis? Spider bites are a bit tricky if you ask me." Stephanwolfe spoke seriously.

The doctor wasn't in. He left to find a warmer place to stay during the shut in." Albert spoke quietly,
"I do know a few tricks to get the poison out of his body and yes I would help him. I'll look at the books when we get back. Is there a place where I can store the trunks until I sort it out tomorrow. Is there a classroom and a lab ready to go?" Stephanwolfe spoke calmly.

"Yes and a lab will be found. There used to be one somewhere." King Albert spoke. You may place the trunks in the Sorcerer's room."

"Thank you, King Albert. I will do my best to serve you well." Stephanwolfe spoke calmly.
"I shall indeed. I will accept any and all students. " Stephanwolfe spoke as the carriage swayed sharply.
"Are we nearly there?"

"yes. The gate are ahead about 200 feet. We will pull up under the awning where it will have less wind and easier to get things inside. Then Eric will put the horses away before he comes up to eat. Or perhaps they will have the fires going in the stables. He knows what to do." King Albert spoke.
"Quite true. She was not dressed for this weather like that driver. But she will have a decent home now. I will interview her either today or tomorrow." Albert spoke.

The carriage came to a stop and Eric jumped down. He knocked on the door.
"We are here." he called out.

Stephanwolfe got out to hold the door open for the King and Grand Lady.

The King got out and stepped aside for Avalon.
Albert took Avalon directly inside. Another guard was at that door but he would help for that was expected out of each guard.

"Hey there, James!" Albert called out.

James automatically turned around and nodded at Albert.

"Did you receive the girl tonight?" Albert asked.

"Yes, sir. Not decently dressed, very little as far as possessions, no meals for 3 days and chained to a chair tightly so that she could not move.
She ate her stew in a bread bowl and is sleeping." James reported.

"Good. I'll wait until morning to question her. Thank you James. You may go as you please." Albert spoke.
"I guess that it was best that I took her in......"

Stephanwolfe got the stuff inside and was haulin it to the room after being told where it was located.
Albert went upstairs to see Kadern and how he was doing. That was his first priority.

Stephanwolfe walked into the student's study and saw a man inside as if he was examining everything.

"Who might you be and what are you doing in here?" he asked.

"I am James, the head butler. I just opened the door to let you inside. I also am check for any spider evidence since Prince Kadern was bit by a spider." James spoke calmly.

"Ok. I am always suspicious of things at first. I'd prefer that the student to clean in here. It is my policy so that if anything is misplaced, it is narrowed down to specific people. I would appreciate having the key if you don't mind." Stephanwolfe spoke as he put his stuff down in a corner then held out his hand towards James.

"I am sure that when King Albert has time, then you will be issued one. I will come back later to lock up." James spoke as he left the room.

Stephanwolfe was not happy with the outcome with James.
Allanna looked up from her reading and smiled.

"So far Kadern is doing ok. A bit of fever , whimpering and pale. I'll let you sit here. I should get up and stretch my legs a bit." she spoke as she placed the book in her lapdesk.

"Alright, Allana. Thanks for sitting with him." Albert spoke as he took her place and Allanna left the room quietly.
"I think that Kadern will be ok. He has a low fever and whimpers like a hurt puppy......I hope that he will pull out of it soon." Allana spoke quietly.

"She left to get some rest I hope. How are you feeling? " Albert asked softly.
"I hope so. I try to keep my spirits up and I played for him most of the time while you were gone. Did the two sorcerers make it in?" Allanna asked.

Albert pour some water into a glass and gave it to Kadern to drink.
"I am sure that all will be well soon. Just try to rest as much as possible."
"Perhaps I will lie down for a bit before dinner. I am tired probably from worry. Thanks Avalon." Allana spoke with a smile.

"No problem. When a person is ill, I expect them to take it easy so they can heal properly. Allanna stayed with you the whole time?" Albert asked quietly.
"I am assuming that she played very well then. I am happy for you because you have a young beautiful talented lady to woo. Take good care of her and she will take good care of you.
Were you able to eat or drink anything?" Albert asked as he gazed down at his son.

"I will make sure that the windows are tightly closed, drapes are drawn and my fire lit. I'll even close the bed curtains except for a gap at the foot so that the heat may come in. Anything else I should do?" Allanna asked quietly.
