Autumn Romance

"Let's get this done. Then we can do more shopping." Anna spoke softly as she got out of the car.

Bill held the doors open for the to ladies as he gazed around the yard. People were milling about the area. It seems that news got around quickly and a lot quicker than he had liked. He asked one of the officers to keep an eye on his car while they went in.

"We will do this quickly. Just walk through the house and tell me what you want to keep. I'll make a post it note. We will try to take some of the more important things with us.

You can carry Max if you want.

How does that sound to you?"

"Alright then, we will leave him sleep. Here is Diana. She is another Earth Angel. She just lost her daughter not too long ago......" Anna spoke softly.
"Hello Diana. How are you doing today?"

"Doing better, thanks. Each day is a tiny bit better. Are you ready to start?" Diana spoke.

"Yes, we are. This is my daughter, Kelly." Anna spoke.

"Hello, Kelly. How are you?" Diana asked.

"I'm afraid not but let's get busy quickly. Hunter is not part of the crew and no one will cross the police line. The workers will start packing each room as we finish. You can act like a prisoner if you wish as we leave. You will be placed in a squad car with one of the officers with Bill trailing you. This is considered part of the child protection act and officers are involved. There is nothing that I can do about that part.

What would Hunter do if he gets wind of this?" Anna asked.

"Let's keep moving and posting.....Why do people race if this guy is so dangerous." Anna asked as she guided Kelly into the house and hoped that she could get her out before Kelly fell apart. Perhaps she could gain knowledge of this miscreant and who else is in the gang? group? And get Anna through the house by occupying her with talking and questioning.

She texted Bill and put the cell on speaker as she entered the house.

Bill went into the car after the text and put a sign up.
Shush the puppy is sleeping. Always keep paper and pen at hand. Also leaarn or make up a shorthand to use.

"So it was more out of necessity than out of recklessness. What were the names of the other two that were with you that day? How long ago was that and do you know their code names?" Anna spoke.

Diana was motioning a couple workers to gather the wanted items and packed them in a box together. It was taped and labled with a code.

Anna guided Kelly to the next room as she thought about what was going on with that scondral.

"We will sell the table then. Do you know where they live or their code name? Do you know where anyone lives? Do you know how many people Hunter has under his control? " Anna spoke as they went to the next room.

"Let's keep going, dear. What would you like to keep in the next room?" Anna asked as she tried to keep Kelly's mind on making decisions as well as getting information.
"What are their names or code names?"

((Good. Let's leave the house, you got what clothes that you want and ext.))

"Fine. The rest will be sold or given to a charity. Let's go to the car. If you see Hunter, let me know where he is so that I can see him, ok? I want to get a good look at him so I can identify him in case he comes around the house." Anna spoke spoke softly.

"What about your parents things? " Anna asked as she lead Kelly out.

"We will make sure to pack all of your stuff up then. Do you want your stuff with your new addy?" Diane asked.

"I'll be sure to pack them carefully and send them to you. Now run along. I am sure that you have a lot to do yet today." Diane spoke as she shooed them out.

"Come along. It's time to go get your new cell phone." Anna spoke as she lead the way out to the car.

"The car and your puppy is waiting there for you. Kelly?" Anna asked softly as she searched the girl's face for any clues as to what was going on in her mind.

"I'm glad. Let's get inside so we can leave. Bill is heading this way too." Anna spoke.

Bill wandered back to the car and got in.

"Where is the next stop?" he asked.

"The phone store. " Anna spoke calmly as she looked at a list.

As Bill drove, he noticed that Kelly was very quiet.

"A penny for your thoughts, Kelly." he spoke.

"I don't blame you. I would be nervous too if I was you. But where you are going is not known to the general public. It is something that I and a few other officers have put together for the Angels.

Surprise dear....." Bill looked at Anna.

"And when were you going to tell me if I hadn't adopted Kelly?" Anna asked.

"When you adopted someone. I am not even sure about where it is anyways so when you have all that you need ready, I'll give my contact a call. So you will need to get what you need as well. Sorry about the notice but it was decided that it would be too dangerous for you to go home. It was not exactly my choice either. Don't ask for I don't know why." Bill explained as he carefully choose his words.

"Do I need a new phone as well? Laptop?" Anna spoke quietly.

"Yes." came the answer.

"He has a younger brother? I hadn't realized that..... Can you tell me anything about the younger brother?" Bill asked as he drove.

"Thanks for the info. Here is your stop. I'll wait in here. Use our own address." Bill spoke.

"Alright Bill. Let's go see what I can find that we can afford." Anna spoke as she opened the door.

"Let's go inside." Anna spoke cheerfully as she headed to the door.

Bill allowed the women to go inside before he made a call for more than one reason. He then got out of the car and walked over to the vehicle.

"This is a sight to see. Quite large... how does it handle?" Bill asked as he walked over to the storm chaser.

"Any good at racing? " Bill inquired as he examined it.
