"I've not ever seen anything like this in my life time. Never went into the military sevice. Man, isn't he some beast?" Bill whistled.
"A storm chaser...... WOW! Such gadgetry that is inside. Maybe I should be chasing storms if you have this kind of money to spare...... How long have you followed storms" Bill asked.
"Bill. Nice to meet you. You have a really nice beast here. How old is it?" Bill asked as he held out his hand.
"Bet you are glad that you kept working at it." Bill spoke as he looked at Kiya.
"I am sure that is the truth. So what are you doing around here? Tracking the weather and keeping an eye on the hurricane? And visiting friends. Nothing else exciting?" Bill asked.
"You must live an exciting life. I am glad to meet you and see The Tittus. I wish you well and hope that you may see all of them exciting weather through out your life. My wife and daughter should be out soon," he spoke quietly.
"Enjoy your visit and perhaps we will meet up again before you leave." Bill spoke as he waved. He turned away and went to the car so that he would be ready to go when they were done.

"Choose what you want as far as the phone and laptop goes. I'll do the same. The amount that you may spend is up $1500." Anna spoke as they got into the store.
"Are there any games that you want to buy for the new game system? I have a tutorial for your educational needs. I am not sure what else to buy to keep us occupied...." Anna spoke softly for she was definately out of her league with all of this high tech stuff.

"What are these small ones for?"
Soon there was nothing left that the ladies wanted to buy. It took a big chunk of money but there was plenty in Anna's account to cover it.

They next went shopping for news clothes before heading to the secret place. After a sad parting, Bill headed home. The ladies started unpacking in their apartment.

Keith came into the house with Max after a long walk. He called out to Brian

"Hey, son! Want to have some dinner? We have more than enough leftovers to last us a few days. I think........hopefully they are still good." he mumbled that last part under his breath as he looked inside a bowl.
"Don't know yet. Gotta clean out this fridge and hopefully find something good to eat." Keith mumbled as he took out a bowl of some kind of moldy food.
"Yuck....."
"Only if fish can come back as zombies" Keith remarked.
"The spaghetti seems fine and the sauce. Pork chops need to go."

A knock on the back door was heard. Keith went to it and opened the door.

"Hey, Bill. What a surprise. What's up? I figured that you would be with Anna. Or did you do the impossible?" Keith asked.

"Nope and yes. May I come in. " Bill asked.

"Sure. Want to talk?" Keith asked.

"Yep. Your son here? I'd like for him to be here so I can bounce ideas off of him as well." Bill asked as he came in with Lady.

"We were about to have left overs if we can find enough." Keith spoke as they came back to the kitchen.

"Toss them all out. I'll spurge for pizza. I am way into debt now........." Bill spoke.

"Ok..... we can wash up the bowls while we wait on the pizza......." Keith spoke puzzledly.
"Hey, Brain. How are you doing today?" Bill spoke up as he took the leash off of Lady. Lady was wagging her tail as Max walked over to greet her.

Together they walked over to Max's corner where Lady drank some water before settling down next to Max.

"Want some pizza, Brian? I am buying if you help with the dishes." Bill announced.
"Just a hard day is all. I'll talk about it while we ate. " Bill spoke as he started to scrape the bowel contents into the waste can.

"Pretty bad with the extra project?" Keith asked as he started the water to wash the dishes,

"Yep. We never had a girl before and I didn't realize all they require. Anna buys her things here and there but today.....just seeing the receipts simply floored me." Bill admitted.

"I bet it did." Keith agreed.
"You don't know half of it, Brian. They are in hiding right now. I know not where." Bill spoke carefully.

"Son, sit down and listen for a few minutes. This is no ordinary girl. But you must promise us one thing. You must promise to take this to your grave. All of the information that you are about to hear is completely confidential." Keith spoke in a serious tone.
"All right. First off you might have heard of a guy called Hunter or of a group called street racers. I just hope that they aren't the ones that are trying to buy the old race track......

We do not know yet if that is the true name of the group or not. No one speaks of it. We are on the trail of this Hunter and any of his racers.

This is the special team that Bill and I are on at the moment. Not only it is illegal but it has caused at least one accident. We think that a few of these unsolved murder cases of young people could be linked to this Hunter." Keith explained with as much information that he felt that he could give his son.

"Anna is in a group called Heaven's Earth Angels. They take in minor children and teens in emergency situations. Anna is the Earth Angel of one of the female racers. This group have various places that hide the Earth Angel and child until teen is able to resume her normal life.

Kelly has no parent or living relatives as far as we know. She will be put up for adoption or live in a home until she is 18. Anna is her Earth Angel and they are in some home somewhere. Kelly was one of their racers. That is why they are in hiding." Bill finished.
"Do you have any other comments? Usually, you have a few opinions about such matters. Any word on the street? Anyone stop by that old garage looking for some auto part?" Keith asked wondering what he his son knew.

"Any little thing will help us, Brian. Sometimes the little things are what gives us the biggest breaks." Bill spoke quietly.
"I guess that this another dead end. Well, hopefully the pizza will be here soon." Keith spoke wistfully.

"It can't be helped, Keith. I was able to get some information out of Kelly when they were shopping. There seems to be a phantom driver out there. No name nor has anyone seen his face yet." Bill spoke softly.

"Might be the one that I nearly caught then suddenly the car lunged forward. It disappeared between you and me and we nearly collided. I'd love to get hold of him.
Haven't seen him since either....." Keith spoke as he got several plates out.
"This is not a laughing or joking matter, son. The city is paying a lot of OT to a team of 24 cops. For the next 6 months, we will not get a day off unless we get we at least a few more racers or this Hunter Guy or the one who is driving that Lamborghini Phantom Racer." Keith spoke with a certain vengeance in his voice as he went to answer the door.

After a minute, Bill spoke up

"Don't pay attention to your father's outburst. He is under a lot of pressure for losing that Lamborghini. He may be demoted to a desk job if he doesn't find him. It may get worse before the situation gets any better. If only we could get the winning bid on the race track, then maybe we can get him....." Bill spoke softly.
"I know but watch what you say and more importantly how you say it is the only advice I can say." Bill spoke softly as he put napkins on the table.

"Here is the pizza. Dig in." Keith spoke with a slight smile.

"What all did you do at the garage today?"
"I am not mechanical so I know that there is not much I can do, son. Sorry. I could drop you off tomorrow if you want to get up and be ready to go by 5AM." Keith offered.
He wondered if Brian would accept the offer or not.
