Autumn Romance

"I love you, too Brian. I hope we can come here again soon." she spoke after the kiss.
Shall we go? You will lead the way down...." Melody spoke softly as she gazed up at him.

"Yes. We will dress as we go down. It is a ceremonial process which I could tell you but had to trust that you would do as I did.

One thing you must not do is to tell anyone about this place. If that happens, I will have to burn this bridge. It is my sanctuary that I have allowed you to be in. When wew go next time we will use a different bridge that will lead us to my work area. Basically transcribing the books from the library here to a copy of my own. There are many excellent books and chances are that I'll not read all of them myself.

I only wish that I could find a Soul Forge and its book. That would be so useful to me........

We better go back down to the library. Since you was the last one up, you must be first on the way down." Melody spoke softly.

Melody followed behind Brian. She should do something extra special for him. Maybe make him a Sigil Cuff that would protect him from magic. She would work on a design for her own Emblem.....yes she would do that. A nice emblem and maybe his uncle could help her make it. Well, first things first and the first thing is to get down stairs fully dressed.

"I am managing so far, thanks. She was putting her clothes on as she took them off but only backwards.........

"I hope that no one was looking for me." She commented.

"This place is way too big in my mind. It should be broken down into different areas and have one person to be responsible for that area. Like Lord Pentre is in charge of an area, Morgana another and have Sultan Cenrid over them all. But that is my own opinion." Melody spoke softly as she looked at Brian.

"I doubt it too. Lets go, Sweetheart. I might skip dinner to find a certian spell that I have in mind." Melody spoke.

"I suppose I should eat. Some of my clothes are a bit loose. Hmmmmm.........Alright. I will go to the area I want and you can bring me something to eat after you eat." Melody spoke as she thought about what she wanted to do.

Melody went to the area where there was a lot of things about space and time. She looked at the volumes and took down three heavy ones. She opened another staircase and floated upwards while making the staircase close behind her.

She was now in her work shop. She had several palm readers and quill pens. The pens had stopped and the books were closed. Her library was growing and growing. She sat up the next three tomes she brought up then took the other 3 back down.

After closing the stairway tight, she went to the area that she was studing right now- in the medicine ailse. She was collecting all of the medical spells she could. These were in her own handwritting. She sat down and began writing a new volume.

"Thank you, Brian. It does smell good. " Melody looked up from her work.
She smiled at him as she leaned back a bit.
"Anything going on in the outside world?"

"I found a few useful spells that I am keeping with me. Anyway that you could get me a few things? Without getting in trouble? Things like may a half dozen or so Radahans and a dozen or so Sigil Cuffs? More journals? Trunks...maybe 3?" she asked as she ate, pausing between bites to speak.

"I might need them one day and hopefully not too soon. There are so many books here that I want a copy of. And no where near enough time to copy them all even if I have a dozen hardworking scribers to help me. A true treasure trove of knowledge!"

She was finished with the food and looked at Brian softly. "How are you doing? Ok after my rushing of you?" she whispered softly.

"Good. I was hoping that it was not too much of a surprise or anything for you." she spoke with a smile and a blush.

"I kinda noticed. I love you very much, Brian. I don't want to hurt you at all." Melody spoke softly.

"If I can one day leave, I wish to have you by my side. I do want to go to Timwr and claim my people as soon as I can." Melody looked down at her hands for no apparent reason.

"If my plans go as I wish, you will one day stand by my side as my King of Timwr where you shall advise me and support me as I rule my Queendom.
What are your thoughts on this bit of information, my handsome knight?" Melody spoke as she made a few hand signals to strengthen a shield that surrounds herself.

Melody thought for a minute then said softly.
"They can't make you tell what you don't know........ But if you have the time, I can set you with finding a few intersting and useful spells that you could say that you know that I have.

How does that sound?" Melody asked with a gentle smile.

"Here is the herbal book that I have not gone through yet. This is the design that I drew up. I want to know just how many seed boxes that I would need for a good supply of useful medicinal plants.

What I need you to do is to read enough of each plant and write down on this paper the name of plant and what it can be used for. You can read and write correct?" Melody asked.

Melody smiled at Brian who was busy studying. She went back to her books and scanned for more information. She began to think of what she wanted to do. To make a special grimoire that had a imbodied spirit. But how to get one?

That was what she really needed. Melody began to hunt for and she knew where to get a volunteer too...but she would need a lab where she could prepare the person....

After an intense search, Melody found what she was looking for. However, there was a drawback. She needed to prepare the paper first. That too would take time. It would also take a bit of time to find the right person and with the requirements that would fit.......

Melody swallowed a sigh and pulled a new sheet of parchment and started writting what she needed begining with the 'special guest' that she would keep in her own world after a few changes. As she wrote the requirements down she decided to do two possible guests. That way they would keep each other company.

"Brian, are there any extra young people who are competitve with each other yet on friendly terms......around the age of 13? Their spirits must be adventuresome and kinda dare devilish. Intelligent and eager to please for small rewards. It matters not if they are male or female but they will be loyal to me some what may......... they must have unbroken spirits as well." Melody asked.

"Would he agree to be immortalized in a book.......He can't read so it wouldn't work. But thanks. I think that a couple prisoners would be my best bet. I need the Radahans to control them......... I someone who can read or is willing to be taught to read. That is the problem right there. Being able to read and willing to become immortalized in a grimoire......." Melody spoke quietly.

"I'll have to talk to Pentre I suppose. Not that I really like to bother him."

"i think that I will seek some help from Lord Pentre or something. They will not survive any longer than I need them alive yet they will be alive in the books......I doubt that you understand the what I am talking about." Melody spoke softly.
