However, the massive 50. guns decimated them again, this time blowing their heads open or apart, killing them for good. Lardall got up with the rest of his squad and got back in the convoy, which promptly headed off into the city. The convoy soon disappeared from Sevio's sight, but what replaced it was equally terrifying. The city in front of Sevio's shelter building was ignited, with the fire jumping up higher by the second, scorching the sky. More jets flew over, spraying napalm onto it to raise the fire. Gunshots and artillery laid waste to that side of the city, as it was more infected. Soon, however, a hoard of about 100 infected approached Sevio, about 10,000 yards away at the moment. A jet similar to the one that had shot him zoomed over and bombed them, sending their decayed flesh and bones everywhere. A small radio that had been in the building, muttering senseless military things for a while, went silent except for one panicked voice. "SHIT! WE'RE OVERRUN! INITIATE SCORCHED EARTH!"

The explosion let out a blinding flash and a thunderous roar, collapsing buildings within a 3-mile radius. Luckily the explosion was about 10 miles away, but that didn't stop the blast from blinding Sevio for about 5 seconds. When the flash wore off, the explosion rose high above the buildings, shaped like a mushroom made of fire. The shockwave was next, cutting buildings in half. Sevio's building went down as one of the first, but instead of falling all the way, it was caught by a bridge's cable. The shockwave didn't go much farther than Sevio's building, and barely gave the convoy a breeze of wind, A rather harsh one, but nonetheless, a breeze of wind. The explosion brought to mind a few words, Nuclear Bomb, WWII, and death. The radiation would settle within a day, but the city side that the military was occupying would be barely affected by this, merely making traversal harder. Sevio, whenever he woke up from his concussion, he would be on a bridge, surrounded by dead infected and survivors, looking up at the cloud as it rose above its neighboring cityside.

As the round slammed through his leg, John collapsed, pain exploding in his leg as he managed to catch himself on a large block of rubble. He looked down, seeing the blood spilling out, and gritted his teeth against the pain. These guys were serious, no doubt, and he figured that he would rather comply with their requests than risk getting shot in a more dangerous place. Pushing himself up, he turned toward them, balancing on his good leg and raising his hands in the air. No sooner had he done this than he spotted someone charging toward him out of the corner of his eye, and looked over in their direction. What is he doing? He wondered, watching as they came closer. He heard the shouts, and braced himself as the man picked him up, not quite sure how to react. The bullet wound burned, and he closed his eyes as the flashbang-esque explosion went off, protecting his eyes from being momentarily blinded.
As they stopped after ducking into a building, John slipped out of the man's carry, stumbling back to lean against a wall. He could hear footsteps around them, and tried to stay as quiet as he could, deciding to hold his breath until the big guns boomed. As the convoy drove off, John watched as flames started leaping into the air, eyes widening. He looked down at the man who had carried him out. "Hey, thanks for getting me out of there," he said. "What's your name, by the way? Mine's John. It looks like we might have a rather...firey situation ahead of us." He watched as the jets flew over, letting loose another bout of napalm onto the ground below.

Meanwhile, Juzzo was getting straight to work at the temporary station, covered rifle in hand. She didn't care if that Marcus Wolfe was going to be tagging along with her for a bit, she didn't care as long as she would get her role out of the way in all this commotion. She would rather shoot something, not stand still doing nothing. She knew what had happened, she FELT that thing blow under her feet, the vibrations on the floor even shook her up a bit, almost making her fall over. That thing... That bomb... even though it wasn't as strong as what she probably would have felt if she was still back in her living room, damn, that was strong.
Now she needed to find her way out of the mess, avoid the milli... Although, she may end up being very lonely indeed… The only people she had ever known were the people who served under her in her squad, with exception of a few people she had trained some occasionally worked with...
Who could she possibly trust? Definitely not anyone currently serving in the military..

Sevio panted hard as he slowly caught his breath. Using even his most basic of powers like heightened speed and strength killed his stamina levels. Looking up to the man as he spoke and the fires began, "I'm Sevio. Sorry about being so rough with you back there, John... Here, let me see your leg. Tell me... Do you believe in angels?" he asks in a quiet tone, trying not to draw attention to them as the area then burst into flames and started to get bombed. Buildings and valuable survival supplies all went up in flames. Food, water, medicine, tools, all were burned to ashes. By the jets dropping napalm and setting a whole section of the city on fire.
Infected roamed all over outside, some completely unaffected by the blaze at all. Sevio's heart sank as he felt so many lives get taken due to the flames, many that had been lucky enough to be in shelter now cooking alive in what once were safe spots where the infected couldn't find them. But Sevio had to stay focused. There was a small chance he could still undo the damage that had been done, and restore the lives that had been lost due to these unnatural causes... If he rested and got all of his powers back. Sevio took a look at John's leg, and managed to use his magic to all but painlessly remove the bullet and clean the wound, and with a bit of focus he'd have John pretty well healed after a long 10 minutes of work. Looking up at him, "Phew... That took longer than expected. My cousin could have had that done better in 30 seconds... She's a far better medic than I am. On top of that, I'm exhausted... Next safe spot we find I really need to rest..." he says calmly, trying his best to keep his voice down so they wouldn't get detected by any remaining infected and have to run immediately.

While the convoy was now patrolling normally, a new foe to the survivors was being deployed. The CIA biohazard Containment Division arrived on scene via sleek looking MH60K transport helicopters, which flew dangerously close to Sevio's building. Inside was Rudy, leader of Gamma squad. The brief moment that the squads were visible would have given Sevio flashbacks to the men who experimented on him when he first joined the SSO. He knew who they were, and what them being here meant. A loudspeaker on a CH-47, which was trailing the rest of the helicopters by about one mile, began to play horrific noises while shining it's massive searchlight around the city. About every minute, the noises would stop and be replaced with a gravely voice saying "This is the United States government, please reveal yourself and be rescued"
Most other survivors would think this to be a way out, but Sevio knew what the BioThreat team did to things they didn't understand: killed them. There shouldn't be any witnesses either, so kill them too. And even though Sevio and some other survivors were now enhanced, it didn't mean they couldn't be killed. The team had taken his blood, and infused it into bullets. They had an infinite supply, as they were constantly cloning millions of batches, although only about 1000 would be useable. But Sevio, although knowing the terror they would bring to all, knew something else: They won't engage large groups for fear of being picked off.
The helicopters disappeared off into the direction of the fob, while the Chinook stayed, broadcasting it's message.
(Man, sso really helped Sevio in the long run didn't it lol)

"It's alright. You did what you had to do." At the question, John paused, his brow furrowing slightly. "Do I believe...Yes, I think I can say that I do," he replied. Moving his leg in front of Sevio carefully, he watched as the bullet suddenly popped out, the tissues seeming to heal themselves as the minutes went on. He didn't quite get how this was happening, but he assumed that Sevio was doing it. There was no other explanation for it, as he couldn't have done it by himself. "That was...amazing," he said. "Thank you." His voice was low as well, realizing what danger that they were in.
Marcus had gone and got himself some gear from the temporary station, running away from the Humvee, with his backpack and gun case. He wandered over to the Armory, he wanted enough ammunition to last himself a long time, and perhaps a side arm as well. With haste Marcus moved from there to the medical tent, that was when the explosion shock waves was felt. He had been to focused and busy getting his travel supplies that he entirely forgot, bracing himself on one of the tent's support poles. A cigarette seemingly planted itself between his lips within seconds after the shock waves, sparking it with his hand cuffed over it. There were not many soldier roaming around the station, in fact there had only been a few walking around, but Marcus wasn't going to stick around now, especially since the Nuke. His mind plotted a plan, 'Alright, all I need to do is ditch this place now. Go check some of those left over trucks, see if I can't acquire a set of keys for one them.' And like that Marcus found himself in the Officer's tent, looking keys to vehicles, looking through various files and papers. He came to find a few documents that would spark the minds of conspiracy theorists. None the less he left the documents in the drawer of the Officer's desk.
That's when Marcus had came out, walking towards the three left over vehicle with a few different sets of keys he had found during all his rummaging. Although he thought it would look a little curious having some man wandering through the Military facility so freely, but Marcus was a freak in such a way. He was able to sneak out of most situations, it was one of the reasons he was able to leave the city. But he had left the city for a more specific reason, to go steal some guns from his father's old property before everything gets locked up. His cigarette began to burn his lips at this point so he picked it out of his mouth and threw it to the floor, pursing his lips to spit a log of mucus onto the side of a true. He looked at it, a small Cheve Silverado, looking through his sets of keys Marcus looked to find the ones with any GMC, or Cheve symbols on the keys.
Awhile before mangling with the locks of the truck door, he had thrown his bag and case into the bed of the truck and changed his outfit. He had dressed himself in full military standard apearal. Except he had kept his beret on his head, slightly messing up the color scheme of the outfit, but he wasn't much for things going together. Upon mingling with the handle and lock for a good four or five minutes, he propped it open, getting the correct key into the ignition and starting the truck up.
Marcus sat in the truck for a few moments, having the window wide open and starting at the city in the distance. He could faintly see the havoc that has already been wrecked across the city.

The explosions should have been his first warning. They werent. Marcus should have been warned when one of the operators stepped on a price of glass, causing a crunching noise. He wasn't. What finally got his attention was when Rudy snuck up on him, using active camouflage, and pulled him through the open car window. He then slammed his head onto the pavement, and thinking was knocked out, walked away. If the impact didn't kill him or knock him out, it sure as hell gave him a concussion. When he recovered, if he looked up, he wouldn't see a team of 5 tactical CIA operators moving through the night, no, he would see 5 glowing red goggles floating around in the sky.

The small, defiant girl made her way through the corridors of the base, ignoring some questionable looks that were given to her as she walked along. Some people recognized her, and kept out of her way. Yet, some people took one glance at Juzzo and thought of her to be nothing but a small girl, which, to be fair, she did look a bit like a child. She still had that element of youth to her. And plus, she was too short, in her opinion.
Juzzo had her mind fixed on the possibility of encountering someone, and having to fight them. She would have to look just about human, and she needed a pistol. A knife wouldn't help her that much. Walking around, she found an unattended gun at an office desk. Haha, idiot. She slipped in, and snatched the gun, emptying out the bullets while she was at it. She didn't need those.
From there, she made her way to where she knew the military trucks would be. There should be some leftover, she doubted that they would engage all of them for precautionary reasons. She suddenly heard footsteps, and the small girl crouched behind a nearby truck, observing the scene. She saw that Wolfe guy again, staring dreamily into the distance towards the city. Oh wow, the guy was also delusional. She had a plan - to hold him at gunpoint and use him to run away, perhaps use him as some kind of sacrifice to increase her chances of survival. She didn't care about the person, she only had focus on her own well-being at the moment - well, she always looked out for herself first.
She was programmed to survive.
And kill.

The CIA team had seen Kizzie, but we're only going to engage people who were in the way. As far as they knew, she hadn't seen anything. A scratchy radio transmission went out on most military radios, stating the following: "Remember, find and sterilize all instances of the NY-2 contagion. Sevio is Shoot on sight. " the team walked through various buildings for a while, before finding the one Sevio was in. They were only on the bottom floor, and although cloaked, they still kicked the door open. They were close, and everyone involved knew it.
Sevio was close to passing out when he heard the loud speaker from the chopper and felt the presence of the BHCD, "Dangit... John... It's time to go. If we get found we're dead. You know how to free climb a rope, right?" he whispers as he eyeballs the elevator doors. "John... I'll leave it to you. Pick a number between 3 and 7. That's the floor we'll climb to on the elevator rope. We could take the stairs, but theres a task force between us and the door. They'll tear the building apart one floor at a time, so if we put at least 2 floors between us and them, we'll have time to get the heck out of here. But once we're out we'll have that chopper to worry about. Think you got the wind to get away?" he asks quietly, sneaking to the elevator as he spoke.
Lack of power saw the doors easily sliding open with a bit of force, and Sevio boosted John up to the top of the elevator car before giving a good bound of his own, getting clear of plain sight just as the task force shifts their attention to the elevator. Sevio signaled for John to start climbing the cable first, having more trust in his own protective aura to shield them in case they got found out than in the arm strength he had to climb the rope himself and start on the next door. A trust that would normally mean Sevio was indestructible except by a few special means, but the only thing his protective aura could do now was make sure Sevio wouldn't suffer a deadly wound if he got shot, so his endurance was drastically cut down already.
