A long long time ago, in the ancient times of Greece, there was a man who became, with the help of a sorcress, a demigod. He became overly strong and agile which he used to become the ultimate champion in the arena of the gladiators. However there was a catch, he was to never wed if he wanted to keep his powers. Which at first was no problem for him as he was too focused on being the champion but soon enough he meet this amazing woman who he couldnt live without. But since he wanted both his powers, aswell as the woman of his dreams, he started to look for a loop hole in the contract of the sorcress.

After some time of searching he found that he could share/store his powers with a living and less sentient being, like a pet or plant. And since his future wife loved flowers so much, then he decided to pick a flower. And not only because she loved flowers so much but also because unlike a pet, a flower couldnt move and injure itself somehow. Which would not only be more safe for him but also prove if she was takeing care of the flower properly or not. So some time before the wedding, he would take a simple flower seed, bath it in a small bowl of his blood and then plant it into a pot of soil. He let it grew to a sprout and then gave it to her after their wedding and told her to take care of this flower as if it was his very heart. And if she did so, then he promised that he would always survive and return to her from the arena.

At first she took care of the flower decently well, thinking it was only a mere symbol of his love to her and not actualy "his heart". But one day when the flower got accidently a bit hurt, her husband would come home very injured and nearly defeated in the arena. This obviously convised her that the flower was indeed as important as her husband had told her and every since that day she started to care and tend for it very carefully, makeing sure that it never got hurt. Which in turn made her husband in the arena even stronger and unbeatable.

Not long after that she wanted to have baby with him, but since a child could be careless and accidently hurt the flower then he told her to wait. That he wasnt ready yet to have a baby with her, even though he wanted one with her very much. But he figured it would be best to wait until he was downright legendary and he could finally step back and live the rest of his life in luxary with his wife.
