Amara glares at the man as he attempts to approach. She swallows the last of the sandwiches and backs away.

She is not cornered, not, rather, ready to strike or jump as the situation calls either action. A warning growl vibrates from her throat. Being smaller than your average unicorn had its advantages. She had the viciousness of a wolf to back her up.

She tenses in a threatening stance, snarling at the man. Stamping a hoof, she gave one final warning to either back off or state his business.

Snarling, Amara figured out whom these fools were. 'Animal Control,' there was only one reason they wanted her: to 'put her out of her misery.' Nope, she was not gonna die today.

Leaping through an open window of an abandoned building, Amara easily made her way through it and out another window. Her silver- white body glinted briefly in the sun before she slipped into the park.

stopping to drink from the pond she nearly laughed. He was trying to tempt her with Oats of all things. Idiots had not a single clue what her species was. She was not a mere horse to lead around in a pony show. Not at all, rather, she was a huntress and a scavenger.

Amara was off again after several moments. She slipped through the alleys of the strange town once more.
She had not a clue what they said, but their voices sounded rough and they held a scent of danger. With a warning growl, Amara slipped away from the men and to another park.

This park, however, was overgrown and clearly not used in a very long time. Amara smirked and slipped into the trees, laying in a what looked to be a caved in fox hole. Not a problem, it would be useful for a brief rest before she went on her way.

This city was odd, not one soul seemed calm about seeing her. Were unicorns in general that rare?

Were unicorns disappearing for good? She knew her particular species of unicorn was nearly extinct, if she was not the last already.

Her ear flickered all over, listening to every little sound.
((sorry, I was trying to go what would be in a city))

Amara stayed still, allowing the children to pet her fur. She did still have the soft spot for them that all unicorns seemed to have. She never made a single sound, only soft snorts when a child grabbed or pulled too hard on her mane of fur.

However, she was still on the lookout. Amara would either run or defend the children, whichever came first.
It was anger that first appeared. With a growl, Amara attempt to use her horn to deflect the gorgon. She felt the familiar surge of magic, only for it to die out with a fizz before she even released it.

What?! Why didn't her powers work?! Fear crept into the wolf-sized unicorn and gripped her with its cold, almost wet hands.

She was tired...... scared....she was..

caught.

A whimper slipped from her mouth, despite her not wanting to show fear. She did not have control over her body.
Amara jolted out of a daze. She felt something on her horn and the restraints on her legs. A voice made her turn towards the creature next to her. He was slightly taller than she was, although she was the most slender.

"Yes... I am a real unicorn......" She yawns, fighting to stay awake, "A more rarer species..... I am omnivorous and.. I may be.... the last of my kind......" Her eyelids drooped; Amara attempted to shake herself awake. "Why.... Am...I....tired....?"
"Never heard of it." Amara says, flicking an ear towards him. "I come from a forest that is no more. A poisonous, green fire destroyed it. Far as I know, my kind and the wolves whom my mother brought me to, did not make it out alive."

She lays her head down on the cold floor of the moving truck. "Do you know where they are taking us?"
"Oddity park.. odd name." Amara chuckles as she felt the vehicle slow down. "Protected? I do not know that. There were people always trying to catch me."

There was a slight jarring, as the vehicle seems to stop. She gave a slight snarl of fear and confusion.
Amara pulled on the shackles a bit, but followed along. She laid her ears back in an attempt to block out the noise. She could sense the pain from the other animals being cared for.

Wincing, she shook her head to rid her mind of the mental pain. She looked at the mermaid and gave a soft snort. When the control officer coos at her; Amara gave a growl. No unicorn or wolf would allow themselves to be baby talked to and she was not about to let that happen. However, she restrained herself from biting him. She knew what happened to animals considered a danger.

When the mermaid spoke once they were alone, she blinked for a moment before speaking.

"I come across this place as I wander, tired and hungry. Then, I get idiots chasing me and scaring kids. I may not have a home, but I do not want to die just because I am a stray!" She breathed heavily, a scared growl escaping her lips. "Plus, those idiots tried bribing me with oats! Oats of all things! I am not your average unicorn. There is a reason the species I am is considered the wolves of the unicorn species."
Amara was rather enjoying the sensations of the mermaid doing her medical stuff. She even gave a soft purring sound that unicorns made when they are happy.

She snorted a bit when she saw the sharp objects, but laid her head flat on the table. Part of her refused to show her neck to the mermaid. Amara was not one to submit, but she knew when harming someone would be useless.
Amara nodded and looked back at her. "Now what?"
