Maisy watched as Kristal took care of the wolves, their blood dripping down their leafy pelts into the hole. Seeing the woman spread the blood on her burns, and the relief that it brought her, Maisy reached out to catch some of it as well. She poured it on the slice in her arm, purring softly as it soothed the ache that had been residing there since it had appeared. She spread the salve on the rest of the burns, and then cupped her paws, letting it fill them like a tiny basin.

"Do you think that I should try putting some of this stuff in my eye?" She asked, looking at Kristal. "It might do more harm than good... but it might fix it."

She returned her gaze to the milky-green substance in her paws, sniffing it. "Wonder if it's any good to eat...?"
Kristal continued covering her body with the substance and listened to Maisy.

“I don’t know if we should put it on your eye just yet. But maybe place this there just to prevent further damage...”

She takes a piece of untouched leaf and a wiry vine, making a makeshift eyepatch for Maysin. She puts it on for her and stands proud of her work.
“Looking good my friend. “
Maisy nodded. She poured the rest of the goop on her burns, purring quietly all the while. It probably wasn't a good idea anyway - the cat was acting out of mild desperation at this point.

Looking up when she saw Kristal making something out of the corner of her good eye, she held still as the makeshift eyepatch was slipped around her head. "Thank you," she replied with a grin, gently touching it. "Now I'm a space pirate!" She giggled, putting her hands on her hips.
Kristal giggled with her then began looking for a way to store the healing goop. She took another leaf and stringy vine from the creature, making a makeshift container.
“So left keep some of this...”
She looked at the wolves and they seem to have stopped bleeding. She released them from the ties and began dragging one back to the cave.
“Can you help me with the other one? We need to clean them then start peeling the leaves off. “
Once she’s dragged it by the water, she began taking off the leaves? Cleaning it with the water from the pools. She noticed, the water bounced off the leaves.
“Hey look. These things are waterproof. Maybe we can make a kind of rain coat with this. “
The cat quickly moved to help Kristal with the wolves, dragging one over the ground, being careful not to get it in the mud or tear it's pelt on any rocks that poking out of the ground. "These things are kinda heavy, but hopefully they have a good amount of meat on them," she said. "Meat we can eat, at least."

She stopped next to Kristal at the pool of strangely pure water, wondering how fast the acidic rain drained itself of the poison. She reached into the water, pulling some out and pouring it on the wolf, rubbing it into the leafy pelt with practiced strokes. She watched as the water drained off into the ground below, running off the leaves. "It does seem that way," she said. "Yeah, it looks like there's enough for each of us to have sort of a poncho made from it. Do you think their flesh is edible?" She asked, looking toward her companion as she started to peel the pelt away.
As her makeshift goo container hasn't leaked, her observation of the leaves being waterproof seems to be true. She continued her task of removing the leafy pelt then washing them.

"A poncho would be good. But we need hoods as well. As for the meat, there's only one way to find out. "

After awhile all the leaves and vines have been removed, revealing a wonderfully smooth skin underneath. The wolves were well toned with a lot of meat. She could taste the salty flavor in her mouth. She must be hungry. She left the leaves to dry on a rock.

"My sister usually cooked back home. You good at cooking Maisy? We can't possibly eat all this either. We need a way to preserve the meat. "
Plucking the leafy pelt from her wolf, the feline's ear swiveled over to point at Kristal when she spoke. Nodding in agreement, she piled up the leaves she could reach, and with a grunt, she rolled the wolf over and started plucking at it's other side.

"A hood should probably be the first order of business, something to cover our shoulders. Like a shawl, maybe."

Maisy ran a paw over the skin of the curious canines, her head tilting. They were certainly odd, but the two would have to get past that if they were going to make any sort of progress.

"I can cook. Not well, but I can manage. I don't know the first thing about preserving meat, though. Is there something that your pod can do about it?" She asked. Her own stomach growled, a quiet gurgle sounding from her midsection.
Kristal nodded her head in agreement to Maisy's suggestion.

"These pelts would make for great coverage. For the meat preservation, we can probably dehydrate it through vacuum and heat treatment, but it wont have much flavor without seasonings. "

Speaking of the life pod, they still need a viable spot to release it. For now, the cave is their home until that time. They still had plenty of work to do. She began by finishing skinning her wolf and washing the pelt. She laid it on a rock to dry and began working with the vines to cordage to sew an outfit together. There were no needles, so shell just need to use her hands.

"Maisy, you've got it covered on your end? For now let's let the meat slowly cook by the fire. It will stay viable for at least two to three days."

Ooc: sorry for the absence, life has been taking quite a toll on me. But I'm back. :)
