The Misfit Club

The City. This is a world where mutants and people with special powers have an uneasy coexistence with the "normal" citizens. Due to recent events, the already strained relationships have reached a breaking point and anti-mutant feelings are running high.

There are high profile "super teams" of the powered, heroes fighting the good fight, trying to change public opinions.

This is not one of those teams.

Setting up base in an abandoned warehouse, Malcolm Silver, or "Mal" as he's known, a mutant in his own right, has assembled this group, it can't really be called a "team"...gang, maybe? He has assembled this group from homeless mutants, runaways, kids who've been kicked out of their houses for what they are. Kids who are "different." Kids who have no other place to go. The vulnerable and the alone.

Seems like a nice thing to do, doesn't it? And yes, it is. Sort of. The kids do have somewhere to live now and more are added to the group all the time. However, once someone has joined the "family," they're expected to earn their keep. Preferably through illegal means, by stealing things for Mal, and if their powers can help them in this endeavor, it was all the better.

Why would they go along with this, you ask? Well, some are desperate for a home, a place to belong. Some might actually enjoy the thrill. And some? Some really don't care one way or another.

NOTE: The Misfit Club is based loosely on Marvel Comics' FALLEN ANGELS . This isn't exactly the Marvel Mutants universe, but similar. Characters can be Marvel, but this isn't required.

Do the X-Men, etc. exist here? Sure, if you want them to. They're probably not going to show up, so. You know. Whatever.
