Genus is a high-fantasy world in a pseudo-medieval period. On the main continent of Amyranthe lies many noble houses under the quadarchy (monarchy with four monarchs) of House Rose, House Oak, House Bluebell and House Yew. Each house has its goals and ambitions which often differ from what the others wish; whether or not the quadarchy will split into their own nations over these ambitions has yet to be seen.
