Rules

  • 1. Respect basic RPR etiquette. Consult the site rules and forum rules for more information.

    2. All RP within the group is to be kept low in terms of sci-fi and fantasy elements. Characters with supernatural powers are not permitted to use their powers, but can be played so long as their powers aren't put to use/are omitted.

    3. Characters belonging to supernatural races (elves, dwarves etc.) are considered unplayable within the group's space and may not be played. If a group member posesses only characters of supernatural races, they may not post within IC forums.

    4. Supernatural beings that were originally human and only became supernatural after infection (vampirism, lycanthropy etc.) may be played as long as they are played in compliance with rule 2.

    5. Only humans constitute as playable characters. No animals or humanlike animals. Players whose characters are all animals/humanlike animals may not post in IC forums.

    6. Historical accuracy within RP that takes place in the group is up to the players, however it is advised to keep tech level within reason, depending on the era you're playing in, for immersiveness' sake. Think about what was commonplace and what would've been considered sci-fi in the time you want to play in. For example, telephones and cars won't work in a medieval RP, but carriages and mail pigeons will.

    7. Any combat level is allowed.

    8. Conforming to social norms that were in place during the time you're playing in is entirely up to you. Do not berate other people on the historical accuracy of their RP, unless they ask for your advice. As stated above, historical accuracy is up to the players.

    9. Respect the terms other players want to RP under. If someone has specified they want to RP in the 19th century at a tech level that was current at that time, don't have your character pull out an MP3 player.

    10. Any violation of the specified rules is reason to be kicked out of the group. All breaking of the rules is to be reported to BurningBridges in private. The rulebreaker will be confronted in private and have a chance to defend themself (unless they've broken rule 3 and/or rule 5, in which case the member will be removed from the group without further investigation). If the rule violation was committed without a good reason, the offender will be removed from the group immediately.

    11. Violations of this group's rules committed between group members outside of the group's space stay and are resolved between the people involved (and RPR mods, if necessairy).
