Looking for something a little different!
I'm seeking a male partner for historical role-play set in the late medieval period in Lincolnshire, England (or another location that we mutually decide upon). During the 14th century would be my preference, but I'm open to changing that if there's another time period you'd like to work in. The degree of historical accuracy is also negotiable; I'm flexible and can work with just a general "medieval feeling" or we can get right down to exact details! Eleanor's character page is only lightly detailed at the moment so that I can change things to suit my partner as needed.
Need some ideas?
-
Your character is the unfortunate messenger, bringing news of her brother's passing on the battlefield at Crécy.
Your character is a landed noble and seeking to expand their holdings through marriage.
Eleanor's brother, Thom, returns from war with a friend (your character) in tow.
Your character is passing through and seeks hospitality at Eleanor's hold while travelling.
Your character is a charming, roguish type who lives just outside Eleanor's lands and occasionally scuffles with her tenant farmers or gets caught raiding on her lands.
Have you been itching to act out your own version of a Robin Hood or Arthurian style story? This might be the perfect opportunity for you!
A few things to keep in mind:
-
Eleanor may be intelligent and strong of will, but you will not find her raising a sword or donning armour. Striving for some degree of accuracy means that it is possible for her to assume some masculine type roles (such as managing the estate) but others I am keeping off the table.
Her manner of dress will be in keeping with the timeline chosen during world building.
I do not expect (or want) for dialogue to be written in old English. Please don't attempt this! It will go much more smoothly without it.
If you think this sounds like something you'd like to try, please send me a message so we can discuss details!
