I shall wait for you to choose, still not quite sure which to pick myself.

So far we have...

Colstan (noble)(human)(paladin)
TimTowTiddy(entertainer)(gnome)(bard)
GamerWoona (noble)(human)(paladin)
TheHook1 (urchin)(drow elf)(warlock)
Jangel13 (poor orphan)(half elf)(rogue)

Well, we have two characters who are tanky, a warlock (who traditionally don't fare well in melee, especially at level 1), a rogue (who traditionally isn't overly powerful at level 1, especially in melee) and a bard who's likely to get you into more fights than out of.

Honestly, a cleric probably isn't a bad idea at this point ;)

A healer is definitely needed

I just need help filling in the character sheets.
Alright, finished my character. This is going to be weird on a meta level because technically he's just a character Aekra is playing, so I don't know how that's going to work on an RP basis.
As a new player, fresh to DnD world.. I have a question for you experienced players

Wizard, warlock, sorcerer or mage.

Which of them is the better choice to RP with?

((I ruled out druid because my Aynor character will be a ranger hunter per Colstan suggestion and rangers do tab into druid magic))

"Mage" as a class hasn't been in D&D since AD&D came out in the 80s; we can rule that one out.

A lot of people would say that warlock is more fun to RP, since they've made a deal with a patron, and playing out how that patronage works is part of the fun. However, they tend to be a little more limited than the other two, but still pretty powerful. Eldritch Blast as a cantrip is pretty cool though.

If warlock isn't for you, the choice between wizard and sorcerer is really just a matter of playstyle preference. Wizards tend to get more spell slots, but have to mechanically go into their spell list every long rest and pick which spells to memorize. The downside is that if you pick the wrong spells for a given situation, you'll have to make do with what you did memorize.

Sorcerers have no need to memorize out of a spellbook; they just know spells. They get fewer of them, though. Wild sorcerers are fun to RP, though, because some crazy shit can result after a cast spell.
Are we all ready now? Or are we waiting for someone?
The story begins! Prologue ensues!
Still trying to figure out how the heck Heron's going to act. This will be fun
Half-drunk gnomish bard reacted! w00t!
For those of you who've played with Aekra (the character, not me, the player, referring to myself in the third person), you're going to realize fairly quickly that Heron gets to do a lot of things she doesn't.

((Like sleep without nightmares, have friends, walk out in public and not be mocked, be respected for who he is, have a family... yeah, Aekra's life is sad.))
Hey all. I'm sorry, I'm going to have to drop out. I thought I would have more free time to contribute to the adventure but my available cycles has shriveled up to nearly zero.

Have fun, everyone.
Hey I'm posting my question here because I'm sure that everyone would like to know. Is the legion or rather the large army you mentioned going after the immortals or is their only a crazy old man to contend with there?

it's a small army of about a hundred men.
Yeah but I'm asking if we know what their purpose is?
You know that they are hunting something, something quite important from whispers you hear in the tavern.
Gotcha I'll get something up soon
