He smiled hearing from the others as the tinker shook his hand and called him friend. He happily returned the sentiment even as one of them said that they should go on the adventure making him roll his eyes. Now when the justicar spoke he knew that they wouldn't get along. He was probably just waiting for the best opportunity to arrest Angelo but he wouldn't give him the satisfaction. He would have argued against going to the fortress for knowledge. However he also knew that even one of the books there would be worth a small fortune not to mention some of the forbidden books he heard so much about.

He then smirked and said "let me make something clear with you all first. I'm not joining you for some Noble crusade, I'm not here to redeem myself in your eyes, or to bring justice to the world. I'm only joining because I am greedy and I know that you need me. Money is all that matters and so long as I get enough of it you will have my skills to call upon." He then turned to the justicar and said "and you will never snap cuffs on me." He said defiantly as he took on big swig and slammed his mug on the table to reiterate the point.
The female paladin had listened to the arguably somewhat chaotic conversation for a couple of minutes before finding a time to interject, gracefully standing up and confronting the follower of Bahamut, walking up to him and giving him a subtle nod.

"I happened to overhear your conversation. The vision you all spoke of, it came to me as well. While I cannot say for sure whether it just affected people in this tavern or not... or whether we are the only ones to have seen it - There is a very good chance that what it foretold speaks of great danger. The kind of danger that will not stop just because you are a non-combatant."

Her last words were half-directed at the two rather ... shady figures ... in their group and half at the civilians in the tavern. "I will accompany you to the archives once I have picked up my gear from my room. I would advise you all to pray to whomever you believe in that the worst will not come to be. It could easily spell the end for all of us. No matter how... slippery you might be."

Banging her fist against her chest piece, she gave another nod to the group before disappearing upstairs, only to return in full gear a few minutes later, including a full helmet that masked her appearance, a sword and a large shield.
"I am ready to depart whenever.", she said announced to nobody in particular, the helmet slightly distorting her voice and making it hard to distinguish her otherwise hard to miss feminine looks and tone.

It seemed all was set for our heroes to head the archives, to possibly glean a grain of truth on their ponderous vision. A few travelers entered, speaking excitedly of small army marching through the town. Some mad man was trying to hunt a god in the Gildathan Groves, the fforest spirits and immortals could usully secret themselves away, but with such a large legion and a concentrated purpose...this does not bode well.
Angelo smirked a bit as the demoness said that he couldn't be a noncombatant. He then said "and just who said I wouldn't be able to fight?" He asked as she left and they soon left to go and get some truth behind the visions. He heard about the mad man and about an army coming by no doubt to capture something or destroy something. That was the only reasons he could think for a force of such size. He made sure to use his <disguise kit> as he made himself look like a scholar ready to learn.
(just fyi, she's not a demon. The template is just a filler, you have to reference my sheet in the forum)
((lol ya Cassius would've murdered the fuck out of her if she were a Demoness))
"I don't know about you two, knights in shiny armour, but the relics of such a black hearted sorcerer can never be found in such places as these holy sites and shrines of wisdom where we are heading off to.

Among the scholars and clerics we might learn of his past and his powers and his defeat perhaps but cursed relics that ever belonged to the foul mage... they are needed to craft the sword you seek.

To get a relic of that nature and sorcerer, we will have to drive a very hard bargain at the black markets for it, and, we may need a few, should the first time fail to cast the right spell.

We are going to need Angelo to venture into the shady underworld of black markets without getting killed" mused Leo raising to follow the group
Cassius led the group through the streets towards the Platinum Fortress, the home of his Paladin Order. He made sure to keep Leonardo in from of him, so that he would be able to see if he tried to escape. "We are only doing research for now, "he replied to the Arteficer. "We need to know who that sorcerer is, and if there is any precident for this kind of shared vision, and what it could mean if there is one. More than that though, we need to know who the Hero King is who is going to wield that sword if it is forged." It took about 7 minutes of walking, but eventually they arrived at the front doors of the fortress. The place was vast for an inner city structure, and sturdy to boot. It lived up to it's name in every way, save that is was constructed of stone and not Platinum. The crest of Bahamut flew proud from a banner over the doorway, marking it as a sanctuary, and place of worship for the faithful. Cassius and crew proceeded inside, and Cassius quickly approached a priestess. She was human, modest of build but strikingly pretty, the plain robes she wore seeming to draw focus to a face that screamed of get humility. The two began a quiet conversation, with Cassius asking permission for his associates to enter the archives.
Leonardo got closer to Angelo.

"With crafty fingers at work... we could take a thing or two, one for me, one for you.. rather unnoticed. Even if caught, I'm already under arrest, hardly a sacrilege would be a cause for arrest when under arrest already, there must be something of worth in there for the taking" murmured Leo softly at Angelo's ear taking advantage Cassius was not even there because he was speaking to those inside about their entrance.

"I'll need you to cause a ruccus, though, unless you prefer to be the one bounty gathering at this magnificent place... whilst I distract them..." whispered Leo
The female knight did not seem particularly impressed by the massive building or even interested in the place itself. This was not because she looked down upon followers of a different faith even though she certainly could not see how one could follow any other than her own given her rather biased perspective on the gods due to her guide she had seen and spoken with her whole life. No... if anything... it was a more relativistic approach to these kinds of places, it lacked seemed to lack the age to command reverence and did not give off the same feeling of pure... holy she had when talking to Mykiel - not that any house of prayer could ever hope to achieve such a thing.

Maybe it was due to this somewhat egotistical view that she preferred people to pray on their own rather than build vast structures whose manpower could be used for the general good of the people instead.
That was not to say that she bore animosity - no it was just... indifference. For now, the follower of Bahamut could lead their small band around his own turf but she was not too sure how things would evolve from there. It mostly depended on Mykiel's view of the situation but maybe she could take the reins for once. So far this kingdom had not given her the impression of being particularly against the gods... so perhaps...
Angelo couldn't help but grin when Leo admitted that to find anything dark and foreboding that would give such power required a trip to the black market. When Angelo would be needed to make sure none of them get killed he then added "and to make sure you aren't getting crap when you buy something" he said with a laugh.

When noticed Leonardo getting in close to whisper about robbing the place of two things for each of them. He then whispered back "great minds think alike. How have we not meet now" he said a laugh. He then said "when either of us see something of value we will give a signal. Then I'll start a nice distraction so you can pilfer it." He then patted his shoulder and said "if we pull this off I foresee a very prosperous relationship" he said with a grin
Entering the priesthold you enter the central prsaayerhold as priests and the faithful professed their worship, stalwart dragonborn ready to defend the building and what lie within at a moments notice.

The east wing held the reliquary and the west held it's store of tomes with the center being the center of guidance and blessing. Each hero could search of the three places once. Before the temple guard expunged the party for their snooping, only temple guards and priests normally had the privilege.
Leonardo remembered an important detail that he had forgotten to tell Angelo sooner, as he made his way to the reliquary

"I crafted an <ring of invisibility> which got me into trouble in the first place and I carry a <bag of holding> as well, with these two... we'll help ourselves at the reliquary first before we take all the relevant and valuable tomes at the library and stop at the centre on the way out to give for thanks for such profitable harvest" whispered Leonardo

"A bag of holding is extremly sensitive, one tear or cut and all the contents become lost forever. Even if we are found out, we have the upper hand of the game, they won't dare risk pulling or tugging or trying to prey it off us and risk any damage." grinned Leonardo

"Since they want a crime to arrest me for, I might as well give them not one but as many reasons as items we steal" smirked Leonardo

(What relics are there for the taking ? )
(What tomes are there for the taking ?)
((I'm just waiting on Colt to answer Leo about what's in the room))
