  • The Solar System

System Robinson is a small system approximately 12,000 light years away from Earth, consisting of a single star known as Isria, codenamed Kansas, and seven planets. The seven planets are as follows.

    The Runt
    32413413657_22db2f9d4a_z.jpg

Planet 1: The Rocky Runt, the Closest to Isria
    Name: Nipra
    Codename: Manhattan, RLPT-31855
    Diameter: 4,684 miles
    Atmospheric Composition (If Applicable): N/A
Surface Temperature: 740F during the day, it can drop to as low as -125F
Surface Composition: Primarily iron, with traces of tin, cobalt, silicon, and various metals.
    Moons: N/A
    Rings: N/A
Life?: No, the lack of an atmosphere and extreme temperature changes make life theoretically impossible.
Distance from Isria: 12.6 million miles away.
    Orbital Period: 60.4 Earth days
    Rotational Period: 29.2 Earth hours
    Water?: None has been discovered.

Nipra is the smallest planet in the system and is the closest to the parent star, it’s even closer to Isria than Mercury is to the Sun, completing its orbit in a little over two months. Beyond its extremely quick orbit, the planet isn’t too notable. It mirrors Mercury in terms of composition, size, and appearance. Its body is riddled with craters and receives nearly constant bombardment from asteroids that float around the system. Life is theoretically impossible due to the harsh conditions of the planet, and despite the wealth of resources on the surface, it’s not likely to be used for any purposes beyond simple research. No moons, no life, no water, nothing but extreme temperatures.. It’s an uninteresting planet indeed.

    The Furnace
    32413413507_7332ef6e61_b.jpg

    Planet 2: The Rocky Furnace
    Name: Suiclite
    Codename: Olathe, JO-1857
    Diameter: 9,384 miles
Atmospheric Composition (If Applicable): Predominantly neon, nitrogen, sulfur, oxygen, carbon, and hydrogen with traces of xenon, helium, and krypton.
Surface Composition: Predominantly iron, tin, and gold with trace amounts of platinum, carbon, and silicon.
Surface Temperature: Averages around 900F, rarely dipping below 500F.
    Moons: N/A
    Rings: N/A
Life?: Unknown, considering the harsh atmosphere and high temperatures, life is very unlikely.
Distance from Isria: 30.6 million miles away.
    Orbital Period: 132 Earth days.
    Rotational Period: 83 Earth hours
Water?: It exists in vapor form, it’s very unlikely that it exists in liquid form anywhere on the planet.

This burning planet is remarkably similar to Venus, though its atmospheric composition is slightly different. The suffocating gases creates a dreaded greenhouse effect, causing the planet to absorb heat, though the absorbed heat isn’t released back. Rains of sulphuric acid and hydrochloric acid are rather common throughout the planet. It’s not clear what’s under the clouds, but due to the harsh conditions of the planet, not much research has gone into. Despite the vast wealth of resources on the surface, researchers have determined it’s not worth the risk. Life is very unlikely due to the extreme heat and suffocating atmosphere.

    The Ocean World
    32413413247_76d56eebbf_z.jpg
    32372163357_8d906b487c_b.jpg

    Name: Rulara
    Codename: Salina; SA-1870
    Diameter: 10,327 miles
Atmospheric Composition: Almost 65% oxygen, with another 20% made up of carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, and helium. Traces of chlorine, fluorine, boron, and other elements.
Surface Composition: Primarily aluminum, carbon, calcium, and sodium. Iron, platinum, and cobalt can be found in high concentrations.
Surface Temperature: It’s generally very warm, having a humid climate worldwide. Temperatures regularly sit around at 75F, rarely dropping below 60F, even during the winter. Thunderstorms and heavy rains are frequent, in fact, it’s more common to find rainy places than it is to find sunny places. Temperatures can regularly hit triple digits.
Moons: One moon known as Saline.
    Rings: N/A
Life?: Thanks to the abundance of oxygen and water, life is relatively common. Much of the life on this planet is similar to the Palaeozoic era. Early arthropods like simple crustaceans such as crabs, lobsters, as well as arachnids such as sea scorpions. Fish, marine mammals, and on the few islands that dot the water’s surface, several species of amphibious humanoids.
Distance from Isria: 82.3 million miles.
    Orbital Period: 338.5 Earth Days
    Rotational Period: 26.4 hours
Water:? Yes, the planet’s surface is 98.3% water, seven islands that collectively make a landmass the size of Texas are the only pieces of dry land to be found on the planet. Water exists in all three forms, though ice is only found in the deeper parts of the ocean.

Rulara was the first of the seven planets confirmed to support life. It sits right on the edge of Isria’s habitable zone. Due to this, the planet is consistently warm, though it isn’t dry, quite the opposite actually. The planet is almost entirely covered in a massive ocean that’s simply known as the Phillip’s Ocean. Asides from seven small islands, there is nothing but water as far as the eye can see. Below the water, life is teeming with creatures that closely resemble the animals that lived during Earth’s Palaeozoic era, though it’s what’s above water that’s a bit more interesting. There are a total of fourteen variations, possibly more of what appear to be amphibious humans that have been dubbed the Anurca. Thanks to careful observation from researchers, they have developed humanlike societies, though they appear to be extremely territorial. Due to this, researchers haven’t been able to get close to the islands they reside on, only being able to watch from a safe distance. Plants appear to be pretty similar to what was on Earth prior to leaving the planet, but again, due to the violence of the land dwelling species, they really haven’t been able to study them in great detail thanks to them.

Further research underwater has shown a number of interesting lifeforms, the most notable being the crab-like species known as the Arlal. Like the surface dwellers, they seem to have developed a complex society similar to that of ancient humans despite looking like just ordinary crabs. Unlike the surface dwellers, the Arlal are generally docile, though they seem to get aggressive when one gets too close, but they’ve at least allowed researchers to study them in greater detail. The planet appears to be habitable by humans thanks to the amount of water and abundant oxygen supply, though the members aboard have chosen not to colonize the planet until they can figure out how to deal with the violent Anurca, the idea of completely wiping them out hasn’t been thrown away, though it’s a last resort for them.

Currently, three research vessels are orbiting the planet; the USS California, USS Florida, and USS North Carolina are tasked with monitoring weather activity, geologic activity, and monitor the lifeforms that exist on the planet. Researchers are periodically sent down to do field research and are often heavily armed in the case the native Anurca decide to attack them. At the moment, it’s considered to be of least priority for the Dawn Space Corps, they haven’t detected many resources on the planet, so there is very little economic use for the planet. Rulara is known by the codename of Salina. It is orbited by a single moon known as Saline. The moon is relatively uninteresting, being a lifeless rock that orbits Rulara once every 22 days.

Notable Lifeforms: *More will be classified during the RP.

    Anurca:
The Anurca are the dominant land species of Rulara, with many different variations on the seven islands. Though, the variations don’t differ too much beyond their color. The fourteen tribes are scattered throughout the seven islands, each sharing a few recurring trait. They are an amphibious race that has evolved to take advantage of the dry land and the vast oceans.

They have long, dolphin-like tails, three sharp claws at the ends of their hands and three razor sharp talon-like appendages in place of normal toes, using these as means of attacking prey and predators. Running down from the center of their biceps down to the center of their forearms, they possess a pair of dolphin-like fins, a similar fin can be seen on the center of their backs. The combination of their fins and tails make them powerful swimmers, while on land they aren’t too fast, underwater is an entirely different story. On the land, their top running speed reaches to just below 27 MPH, but underwater, they can reach speeds of up to 75 MPH, and thanks to their sharp claws, hunting underwater becomes easy for them On land, they can use their sharp claws to protect themselves and even rely on their thick tails to attack. However, they aren’t fast, so it isn’t hard to dodge their attacks. They are mostly omnivorous creatures, primarily eating prey caught in the waters surrounding their territory, though when on land, they generally hunt the smaller animals that roam around the island, but also gather fruits, herbs, and other plants. Their claws excrete a deadly poison that prevents the victim’s blood from clotting properly, meaning the victim will continue bleeding out until they have either been treated or have perished. They can also spit globs of poison at their opponents, though this is generally used as a defense mechanism, causing temporary blindness. Despite the many poisons they use, they are not immune nor do they have any notable resistance to poisons. On the surface, they appear to have similar reproductive organs to humans, but for a number of reasons, they’ve not been able to confirm this. They typically dive to depths of around 100 feet below sea level, though they can survive depths of up to 500 feet, any deeper and they run the risk of running into predators. They cannot see well in the dark, so they rely on a strong sense of smell to navigate.

There are fourteen variations of the Anurca, each living on the many islands. Despite the many variations and the closeness of their territories, the Anurca are by no means a peaceful species. They are extremely territorial and will viciously attack any intruder, whether it’s another Anurca, a researcher, or just a small animal. In spite of this, there are a number of animals they have domesticated, using some as pets and others as hunting partners. The most notable examples of these being the turtle-like Zonqil. They don’t appear to have any kind of religions, but it appears they’ll eat their own kind, specifically, Anurca from their own tribe. It’s unclear if this is for ritualistic purposes or an act of aggression, as they’ll also eat Anurca from other tribes. The only notable difference between the many tribes is their skin color. They come in a rainbow of colors, ranging from a light red to a dark brown color, it’s all dependent on which islands they’ve been raised on and part of it comes from their diet. A healthy Anurca will live between 60-80 years. They give birth to live young, with a female Anurca typically having 3 offspring in their lifetime. Anurca will often have a single mate for life, becoming depressed and nervous when the other has passed away.

    Zonqil:
The Zonqil are a domesticated turtle-like species. They greatly resemble the Galapagos tortoises seen on Earth, though unlike their cousins on Earth, the Zonqil are fully capable of swimming and breathing underwater, and in fact, they’re better suited for life in the oceans than they are on land, typically coming onto the shores to sleep or sunbathe. Wild Zonqil will often relax on the shores whenever they’ve fallen ill or are injured, doing so to keep themselves safe from marine predators. Domesticated Zonqil however are better suited for landlife, being bred specifically to help their Anurca masters. They’re kept as pets, used as food, and can even be used as guards. Their shells are hard as rock, being mostly impenetrable and whenever they feel threatened, they’ll hide within them. Their jaws contain two rows of razor sharp teeth that are capable of slicing through flesh as if it were paper and they’ve got four retractable claws on their feet, using these to defend themselves. Though, despite their sharp teeth, the Zonqil are herbivores, generally feeding on the roots of marine plants. According to the researchers that have managed to capture wild Zonqil, their meat tastes like beef and has a texture like duck, it’s unclear is domesticated Zonqil have similar flavors or not.

    Thona:
The Thona are a small, bat-like creature. They feed on the blood of other animals and on the sap of trees. They have four small limbs, each of them end in a sharp, scythe like claw, each being sharp enough to puncture solid steel with little trouble. Their limbs are connected by a thin membrane, using this to glide among the trees. They use their claws to climb trees and will let go of said tree whenever they’re needing to glide, though if the wind is too strong or too weak, gliding becomes dangerous or downright impossible. They are relatively small, generally being no larger than two feet in height, weighing up to fifteen pounds. They are generally solitary creatures, only interacting with others of their species to breed. The Thona have a razor sharp beak-like appendage where their mouths are, they use these to dig into trees and into the skin of their prey. They have been known to occasionally be hunted by the Anurca for their skin, meat, and bones.

    Ulpha:
The Ulpha are small, winged cat-like creatures, coming in a variety of colors. They are predatory creatures, preying on the Thona and other small animals, using sharp claws and sharp fangs to attack Their wings grant them brief flight, they aren’t able to fly for more than thirty minutes at a time, though given the size of the islands this isn’t really necessary. Their fur gives them plenty of camouflage when prowling the island floor. They have been domesticated by the silver Anurca on Elster Island, with the Anurca there keeping them as pets and as hunting companions. They’re generally no bigger than the average house cat, but are surprisingly strong.

    Yison:
Similar to the Thona, they possess four, scythe like claws for defense and a thin membrane they use to glide from tree to tree, but unlike the Thona, they exclusively feed on tree sap, the nectar of flowers, and fruits that grow on trees. Strangely enough, they seem to change fur color with whatever they eat, for instance, if they eat a pink colored fruit, their fur will take on a slight pinkish tint to it, though naturally, they’re typically a black or brown color. It’s unclear why their fur changes color, but it’s generally believed to be a defense mechanism. They are often hunted by other animals, including the Anurca and Thona.

    Eche:
These are massive reptilian creatures that greatly resemble anacondas, though, they exclusively live underwater, very rarely surfacing. They are among the most dangerous predators on the planet, due to their immense size and four razor sharp fangs. They are a constrictor species, they’ll wrap their long, slim bodies around their prey, holding onto them with their razor sharp fangs and will slowly crush the life out of them before swallowing their prey whole. The Eche can reach up to 75 feet in length and can weigh up to seven tons. They have no natural predators, except for the Caxin, and will eat just about anything that crosses their path, including the Anurca in their rare appearances on the surface.

    Caxin:
The Caxin are large marine animals that resemble great white sharks, only being much larger, even larger than the Eche. They can grow up to 100 feet long and weigh as much as 15 tons. They have four rows of razor sharp teeth and have a bite force equivalent to that of 300 American alligators, meaning that once they bite down, there’s a good chance that your arm will be sliced off. They will hunt anything that moves, including the dreaded Eche or even the Anurca, though they rarely appear near the islands, preferring to keep within the deeper waters. Once a Caxin has grabbed their prey, they will not let go.

    Elmed:
The Elmed are large, manta ray-like creatures that have largely been domesticated by the Anurca, using them as makeshift boats. They can grow up to nearly 20 feet in length and can weigh up to one ton. they’re strong enough to carry up to 5 Anurca at any given time. They’re typically docile creatures that won’t attack unless provoked, but one should be very careful not to provoke them. They possess stingers at the ends of their tails that can inject an incredibly deadly toxin that paralyzes victims almost instantly. They are exclusively herbivores, though they use the tails for defense and are used to help the Anurca hunt while on the waters.

    Hephrax:
The Hephrax are relatively small, shelled creatures that resemble a hybrid of snails and squids. They have squishy, gelatinous bodies protected by hardened calcium. They are slow moving, but their hardened shells give them a perfect defense against predators. They are filter feeders, feeding on small, microscopic creatures that float around in the waters. They are capable of releasing a foul smelling liquid to ward off creatures and are typically found near the shores of the islands. They are frequently hunted by the Anurca who use them for food and will use their shells for a variety of tools, frequently using them as baskets and containers, though they’ll also use them as helmets on occasion.

    Ailquns:
The Ailquns are relatively small reptiles that greatly resemble a triceratops, growing no bigger than your average house cat. They generally come in a variety of colors, most commonly being dark green, dark brown, or a dark tan color. Their dark colors help them blend in with their surroundings, since they’re commonly preyed upon by the Anurca and other animals. They have a trio of sharp horns on their foreheads, using these to ram into predators and they’ll use them to headbutt trees in order to knock down fruits to eat. While they’re generally used as food by the larger animals, they have often been kept as pets by the Anurca.

    Onnax:
The Onnax are large, scorpion-like creatures that resides near the seafloor, with large populations of them gathered around the seven islands. They can survive underwater as well as on land, they simply absorb the oxygen through special cells on their skin. They can often attain lengths of up to 16 feet, with their tails taking up roughly half of their length. They have four strong pincers, that once they grab onto prey, they’ll never let go. They’ve got enough strength to rip trees right out of the ground and their stingers are strong enough to pierce through solid steel. They can inject a weak venom that causes the victim’s cardiovascular system to shut down. They can frequently be seen combing the shorelines for food and their prey of choice isn’t just limited to the smaller animals, they’ll even hunt the Anurca if they get close, however, they’re also occasionally hunted by the Anurca who make plenty of use out of their exoskeleton and meat.

    Ved:
The Ved are large, winged marine creatures that resemble a swordfish. They can grow up to nearly 10 feet in length, with over a foot of that being taken up by a large, spear like appendage on their foreheads. They use these spears to help them with hunting and for defense. They slash and swipe at prey in order to weaken them as opposed to ramming into them, though they’ll ram into predators in hopes of warding them off. They are by far the fastest creature in all of Rulara, being able to obtain a max speed of nearly 200 MPH for short bursts, though this speed is generally reserved for getting away from predators. They can frequently be seen breaching out of the water, making for fantastic sights to behold.

    Elsuns:
The Elsuns are a strange creature that resemble tortoises, looking relatively similar to the Zonqil, they’re roughly the same size, though the Elsuns are typically a light silver color, though their colors aren’t too impressive, rather it’s the strange, star like pattern that decorates their shells. This pattern on their shell has a few uses, the first being a source of deception for would be predators. The pattern causes a distraction, allowing the Elsun a few moments to either escape or defend themselves. They can also light these patterns on fire, causing incredibly painful burns. They exclusively feed on roots and herbs. Due to their fiery abilities, they are only preyed upon when food is scarce.

    Krels:
The Krels are massive aquatic reptiles greatly resembling the mosasaurus that reside in the open waters of Rulara. They are by far the largest creatures on Rulara, and perhaps the largest living thing that has ever been discovered, on both Earth and in Rulara’s respective system. They can grow up to nearly 250 feet in length. They will eat anything that moves, though they rarely appear at the surface, preferring live within the murky depths of the oceans. They were only discovered after a Krel had made a small research vessel its next meal, killing 11 of the 15 researchers that were assigned to a ground mission of Rulara. They are considered to be among the most dangerous creatures on the planet.

    Marina:
The Marina are winged squid-like creatures that reside near the surface of the oceans. They can reach lengths of nearly 20 feet and they typically have around 24 tentacles. These tentacles have a number of small, needle-like feelers, they use these grip prey and some of these needles can inject a strong paralyzing poison. Though they are threatening, they are often hunted by the Anurca and other marine animals. They rarely appear near the shorelines of the islands.

    Nessie:
The Nessie are large marine animals that greatly resemble plesiosaurs, they are named after the legendary Loch Ness Monster. They can attain lengths of nearly 25 feet and are opportunistic feeders, attacking prey whenever they let their guard down. They have been domesticated by the Anurca, being used primarily as hunting partners alongside the Elmeds. Wild Nessie appear to be worshiped, as the Anurca appear to offer their dead brethren to them, though it’s unclear if they were punished or if it was a sacrifice.

    Arlal:
The Arlal are a strange group of crab-like creatures that inhabit the depths of the oceans, most of them reside near the islands, but are almost never seen on the surface. According to tests run on some specimens, they appear to have human-like intelligence and have even developed complex societies that mirror human societies, though unfortunately, they do not have the means of taking advantage of their high intelligence, as their claws aren’t very useful in tool building. They are opportunistic feeders that primarily hunt for small fish and are often preyed upon by the larger creatures.[/url]

    Planet 4: The Arid Planet
    Name: Aria
    Codenames: Wichita; SG-7211870
    Diameter: 11,293 miles
Atmospheric Composition (If Applicable): Primarily oxygen, carbon, nitrogen, and hydrogen. Traces of fluorine, chlorine, and helium can be found.
Surface Composition: Primarily iron-oxide, carbon, calcium, and aluminum. Traces of sodium, platinum, silver, and cobalt can be found.
Surface Temperature: It’s highly variable, but it averages out at 80F year round. During the later parts of the year, the temperature will often dip below 60F. Night time temperatures regularly hover around 20F.
Moons: 2 rocky moons; the largest of the two is known as Edwin, the smaller of the two is known as Longwell.
Rings: 7 faint rings rotate around the equator.
Life?: Yes, life here is rather odd. It consists of large arthropods and reptiles, small mammals, and several avian species.
Distance from Isria: 89.2 million miles
    Orbital Period: 350 Earth days
    Rotational Period: 21.2 Earth hours
Water?: Yes, water exists in all three forms, though ice is rare and only in small amounts near the poles of the planet. The planet’s surface is 63% water.

Just a few weeks after Rulara had been determined to harbor life, researchers had turned their attention to the nearby planet known as Aria which they codenamed Wichita. This is the second largest of the five rocky planets and fourth largest overall. Despite being further away from Isria than Rulara, the planet’s climate is much harsher, being very dry. Though it isn’t as warm as Rulara, Aria isn’t nearly as wet, the world’s three continents are mostly desert, though the further inland you go, the less arid the climate is, though it isn’t very rainy by any means. Asides from the small forests that occupy the central areas, most plants are small and thrive in dry areas, with many of them being able to store whatever little moisture that falls from the sky within their cell walls for months at a time. These plants generally resemble flowers and shrubs that grow within the deserts resemble that of the few plants that thrive in deserts on the Earth. Despite the harsh climates, animal life seems to thrive on the surface. Two

So far, a total of fourteen different sentient races have been documented, but much like the Ahri on Rulara, they are violently territorial. Each of them have a variety of different appearances, but that’ll be described later on. There are three continents, Arand being the largest of the three, Azoris and Aduin are the other two. While life on the surface greatly resembles a strange mixture of life during the Carboniferous period, large arthropods reside near the shores and deep within the forests of the world, and that of the Holocene period, with several humanoid tribes of creatures, mammals, and small reptiles roam the forests and grasslands of the planet. The oceans are teaming with life as well, loosely resembling the Triassic period of Earth, with large reptiles dominating the waters, animals resembling the Megalodon are also common sights.

Currently, four research vessels are orbiting the planet; the USS Arizona, USS Nevada, USS New Mexico, and the USS Texas are tasked with monitoring weather activity, geologic activity, and monitor the lifeforms that exist on the planet. Thanks to the mountains that run along the centers of the continents, they’re presumed to have a number of valuable resources, but due to the violence of the native life, collecting the materials has become a very dangerous job. Until peaceful contact has been established with them, the mining of the mountains have been put on halt and thus, colonizing the planet has also been halted.

It is orbited by two moons, when combined, they make up about 2/3rds of the planet’s mass and it is also orbited by seven faint rings of ice and dust. Occasionally, the rocks floating around in the rings will get knocked out and hurtle towards the planet. The largest moon, Edwin, is an interesting moon for sure. Despite the planet being nothing more than a dense ball of rock, it is surrounded by a thin atmosphere composed of oxygen, nitrogen, carbon, and hydrogen. It’s presumed it could be inhabited by humans with a little work. Considering how large it is, researchers presume it’s full of useful resources like iron, sulfur, and other precious metals. The smaller moon, Longwell, is a bit less interesting in comparison, being a dull, lifeless rock, though it still draws interest solely because of its economic worth.

    Notable Lifeforms:

    Ralnoi:
The Ralnoi are one of the seven dominant tribes on Arand and one of the eighteen dominant tribes of Aria. They are best described as humanoid bees, though even then, it’s a bit difficult to really figure out what they are. They can reach up nearly 8 feet tall and often weigh over 250 pounds. They possess six limbs, each being vaguely insect-like in appearance. Their legs are shiny, being segmented and is often covered in a thin layer of mostly translucent fur. It’s unclear of what this fur is for, but it’s believed the fur is used in order to keep their bodies clean. Their look pretty similar to that of a house fly’s, being made up of millions of smaller eyes in order to create compound eyes. In place of a tail, they possess long, sharp, and curved stingers and similar appendages on the ends of their five fingered hands, they’ve got four of these hands. The claws are razor sharp and are capable of slicing through flesh with little problem, though these claws appear to be used for defense as the tribe seem to exclusively feed on vegetation. Their claws and stingers are capable of injecting a powerful toxin that that attacks the victim’s respiratory system, effectively causing them to suffocate. They are also capable of spitting globs of acid that cause their victim’s skin to slowly melt. They possess a pair of strong, bee-like wings and are capable of briefly sustaining flight. They don’t appear to have any kind of culture, though close up study is difficult as they are extremely territorial. Though they prefer to keep their distance and will simply growl at potential threats, though if they get too close, they will violently attack. They typically come a variety of shades; yellow, black, and silver being the most common. From what has been observed, Ralnoi society seems to mirror that of honeybees on Earth; they appear to collect nectar, flowers, and use them to create what appears to be honey and wax, using both of these in their homes and other structures. It’s unclear how the young are birthed, but it’s believed they hatch from eggs.

    Agos:
The Agos are one of the many dominant tribes of Aria, they appear as winged humanoids. They greatly resemble humans in overall shape, though their skin color is a bit different. Their skin generally resembles the color of whatever surface they’re standing on. Their skin will appear tan if on sand, blue if in water, green if on grass, etc.. It’s unclear why they do this or if they do this by choice, regardless of why they do this, it’s a phenomenon that’s fascinated researchers. Unlike most of the tribes on Aria, they aren’t violently territorial, though they still aren’t too welcoming of outsiders. While they won’t attack, they’ll simply keep their distance unless provoked. Their fingers end in five, razor sharp claws and their wings are capable of briefly sustaining flight, having patterns similar to that of a peacock. They seem to use these wings in courtship dances and for distracting prey and predators. They are carnivorous creatures, eating just about anything that moves, including that of rival tribes. They can reach up to nearly 6 feet in height and can live up to nearly 60 years. They give birth to live young, with female specimens generally having up to three young at one time. They appear to have developed a society much like early humans, very much being a hunter-gatherer type of society. A male Agos will likely have multiple partners at any given time.

    Vosu:
Another of the many tribes on Arand, they appear as large, quadruped tortoises. They can often be as large as ten feet in length and can often weigh up to nearly one ton. They are slow moving omnivores, primarily feeding on the vegetation that grows around their territory, though they’ll occasionally eat meat, though they won’t do the hunting, but rather eat the flesh of previously killed animals, once the other hunter had left. They are not strong attackers, but rather rely on their rock hard shells to defend against enemies. They are capable of spitting a weak poison, this causes their victims to become temporarily blind, giving the Vosu a chance to escape. Despite their limited mobility, they have appeared to develop human-like societies. They aren’t very territorial, having little interest in dealing with other creatures, preferring to keep back. They will not fight if they don’t have to, preferring to run when the going gets tough. A female Vosu can lay up to 30 eggs at one time, though less than ten of them will actually hatch. The eggs that don’t hatch are often eaten by the mother. Vosu can live up to nearly 500 years.

    Scair:
Another one of the many tribes on Arand, they appear as relatively small, humanoid figures that greatly resemble the stereotypical grey aliens. They rarely grow taller than 4 feet, have large bulbous heads, three small slits for a pair of nostrils and a mouth, and they have large, black eyes, and typically have four digits on both hands and feet. They are quite possibly the most advanced tribe on the planet, having developed a society that loosely resembles that of ancient Egypt. They are highly territorial and will violently respond to outsiders, they have managed to develop a number of simple weapons, including bows and arrows, swords, and spears. They haven’t engaged in any major battles, but they have become skilled hunters. They primarily hunt for other animals and will even eat members of other tribes if they shoot them down. They generally live for around 75 years and it’s unclear how young Scair are born, as no one’s been able to get close enough to see. They come in a variety of colors, ranging from dark grey to a light tan color. Despite their small stature, the Scair are surprisingly strong, being able to easily lift up to one ton. They use this immense strength to help them with their hunting. They primarily feed on meat, but will occasionally eat a variety of plants.

    Tauts:
The Tauts are arguably the strangest of the many tribes inhabiting Aria, the are long, eight limbed creatures that are millipede-like in body type, though they have considerably fewer limbs. They can grow up to nearly 30 feet long and can rear up to look a person in the eye... while they’re standing in the second floor of a building. They typically walk on four limbs, saving the other four to grasp things. All eight limbs are adorned by four, razor sharp claws that excrete a deadly poison that prevents the victim’s blood from properly clotting. They aren’t very territorial, but are insatiable hunters, they will hunt nearly anything that moves and will eat every last bit of it, bones and all. Their bodies are segmented, having eight segments in total. Their segmented bodies give them great mobility, though their heavy weight makes them a bit slower and their bodies are protected by a tough exoskeleton. While they aren’t considered to be very territorial, they’re considered to be among the most dangerous creatures on the planet due to their strength and insatiable hunger. They are routinely hunted by the Scair for their meat and exoskeletons. They have displayed a primitive human-like hunter society,

    Dhirno:
The Dhirno are large, primarily violet colored, predatory birds with four massive, powerful wings. An adult Dhirno can have a wingspan of nearly 30 feet and have large, powerful tails, they use these to aid in their flight and even use them to fight. They are fast fliers, being able to easily outspeed a commercial airliner, though only for a short time. Regardless, their size and speed makes them an incredibly dangerous predator. They frequently hunt smaller animals and will even hunt young Dhirno if they’re hungry enough. A female Dhirno can lay up to 25 eggs at one time, though more often than not, less than four of them will hatch. The eggs that fail to hatch are often consumed by the mother. Aside from raising their young, the Dhirno are largely solitary creatures. They primarily reside in the mountains of Arand.

    Sarid:
These are relatively small creature that greatly resemble the brontosaurus, growing up to nearly ten feet in length, with their necks making up nearly four feet of their total length. Their necks and tails are powerful, they use these to help defend themselves from would be predators. Their tails are capable of snapping a human bone with little trouble and they’re able to crack them like a whip. They use their long necks to feed on the leaves of the trees in the forests they reside in. They are generally timid creatures that will not approach anyone, preferring to flee before anything can happen. They generally live in small tribes of 8-9 individuals. A female Sarid typically lays up to one egg. They exclusively feed on plants and shrubs that grow in their homes and are mostly nomadic, they’ll remain in one area until their food has gone dry before moving on to another area. They are frequently hunted by the Dhirno and the many tribes of the planet.

*Those not yet listed still require further study; they’ll officially be classified in an RP.

Surface Composition: Primarily aluminum, iron, silver, and calcium. Gold, platinum, copper, and cobalt exist in trace amounts.
Surface Temperature: It highly varies, but typically hovers around 65F, though winter temperatures can become bitterly cold, regularly dipping below 15F.
Moons: 7 moons; they are named in order of distance, closest to furthest. Montgomery, Elk, Wilson, Neosho, Labette, Crawford, and Greenwood
    Rings: N/A
Life?: Yes, life is common, with many mammal and avian species dominating the forested continents, reptiles and amphibians live near the shores. Fish and other marine life dominate the waters.
Distance from Isria: 94.5 million miles
    Orbital Period: 484 Earth Days
    Rotational Period: 29.3 hours
Water?: It exists in all three forms, with liquid water being the most common. The planet’s surface is roughly 67% water.

Not long after studies of Aria had commenced, the Dawn Space Corps had turned their attention to the last of the rocky planets; the largest of the rockies and the third largest overall. Being the farthest of the five, it’s naturally the coldest, though its climate is similar to the midwestern United States. It’s generally cool and humid, being fairly rainy, especially during the spring and fall months. Morales receives the most annually, with most of the continent getting nearly 95 inches annually, though Severa is considerably drier than the other three, receiving less than 30 inches annually. The relatively cool and moist environment gives the planet all it needs to develop life. The world is dominated by several vast forests, covering the central portions of the four continents

In fact, life has developed quite well. There are sixteen known species that have developed societies much like early humans, though asides from the seven tribes that inhabit Morales, they’re actually quite peaceful, though they’re very territorial. While they won’t violently attack visitors, they won’t show much hospitality until the visitor shows their worth, though how this is done hasn’t been determined. The tribes on Morales, however, are quite violent towards outsiders. The four continents are named in order of size; Morales, Hiro, Ross, and Severa, with the Morales continent being the largest overall. The continent in question houses seven of the known tribes and is considered to be the most dangerous of the four continents, not just because of the violently territorial tribes, but due to the dormant volcano that lies within the center of the continent. While the volcano is dormant at the moment, it could blow at any moment, and it’s likely the Kun, Azel, and Turall tribes would be wiped out if it were to erupt; the Yellens, Arith, and the Alni of the Ross continent would likely suffer as well.

Currently, four research vessels are orbiting the planet; the USS Oregon, USS Washington, USS Montana, and USS Idaho are tasked with monitoring weather activity, geologic activity, and monitor the lifeforms that exist on the planet. Thanks to many forests and mountains that decorate the world, there is a treasure trove of resources for the DSC to take advantage of, but again, the native life brings issues for them. Until they’ve managed to make peace with them, taking advantage of the resources has been put on halt, though the colonization of the planet is currently being planned out and is likely to be put into motion in just a few decades.

The planet is orbited by seven moons; most of these moons are about as interesting as the parent planet itself. Three of the moons have liquid water, earthlike atmospheres, and numerous landmasses, though life has not yet been detected on any of them. They are currently be used to serve as bases for the humans as they continue their research of the planet. The vast amount of resources has proven to be a huge economic gain. Montgomery is the largest of the moons and serves as the central base of operations for the DSC, while Elk and Wilson serve as smaller bases. Neosho, Labette, and Crawford are rather uninteresting, being mostly lifeless rocks that serve as nothing more than valuable mining resources. The last of the moons and the farthest from Elea, Greenwood, is notable for its beautiful ice volcanoes. Rather than spewing out molten lava, these volcanoes spew out frozen ice and rock into the atmosphere, creating a thin ring surrounding the moon. Greenwood is slowly orbiting away from Elea and will likely escape the planet’s grasp in a few centuries.

Notable Lifeforms: *Those that require further study will be classified in an RP.

Exail: One of the sixteen dominant tribes of Elea. These strange creatures resemble humanoid moths with dark colored wings. Not much information is known at the time; further study is required.

Arith: One of the sixteen dominant tribes of Elea. They resemble humanoid foxes, with their bodies appearing to be covered in a thick, soft fur. Not much information is known at the time; further study is required.

Kun: Currently the only of the sixteen tribes to have peacefully established communication with the Dawn Space Corps. They resemble humanoid wolves, having soft, plush fur. Their societies largely resemble that of early humans, though despite peaceful relationships with the tribe, not much is known about them, as they are fairly secretive with things beyond their daily routines that include trading and hunting. Religion, breeding habits, family bonds, and much more is unknown.

Turall: One of the sixteen tribes of Elea, they resemble large, human-like apes. They greatly resemble that of the mythological Bigfoot, though they are fairly elusive. Only a single village had been discovered, but the tribe appears to be very territorial. Further study is required.

Azel: One of the sixteen tribes of Elea, they resemble humanoid birds. Not much information is known at the time; further study is required.

Yellens: One of the sixteen tribes of Elea, they resemble humanoid butterflies. Not much information is known at the time; further study is required.

Iloi: Not much information is known at the time; further study is required.

Leede: The Leede are some of the most impressive and most terrifying creatures to be found in the system. These creatures weigh nearly twice as much as a blue whale and are nearly twice as large. The resemble massive turtles, though they couldn’t be anymore different. These creatures had only been spotted twice and it’s believed there are more of them. They appear to be fairly docile and stationary creatures, with one of them appearing to have remained in one place for so long that grasses and trees began to grow on its back. When it moved, a small earthquake shook the area near it. It’s unclear how it eats or how it even survives, as something that large was thought to be impossible. Further study is required.

Duqik: Not much information is known at the time; further study is required.

Eso: Not much information is known at the time; further study is required.

    The Violet Giant
    33429677868_1b1da1f2db_b.jpg

    Planet 6: The Largest Planet
    Name: Nienia
    Codename: Overland Park, JO-5201960
    Diameter: 59,265 miles
Atmospheric Composition: Primarily helium, methane, hydrogen, and chlorine. Oxygen, carbon, fluorine, boron, and arsenic are also common. Several other elements exist in the clouds.
Surface Composition: The core is a dense, iron-carbide mass.
Surface Temperature: The temperature averages out at 20F, though the closer you get to the core, the warmer it gets, reaching nearly 1200F at its warmest.
Moons: It has a total of 27 moons, though only five have official names. They are named in order of size, from smallest to biggest; Leavenworth, Wyandotte, Johnson, Miami, and Franklin.
    Rings: It has numerous rings
Life?: Unlikely, but not impossible. The potential for life on one of the moons is heavily debated.
Distance from Isria: 748.54 million miles
    Orbital Period: 74.5 Earth years
    Rotational Period: 9.3 hours
Water:? Only gaseous water is known to exist, but liquid and potentially frozen water is likely.

The largest planet in the system, being even larger than Jupiter. Unlike the King of the Planets, the clouds of the planet take on a dark violet hue and have a much larger concentration of methane. The planet is surrounded but a massive ring system, similar to that of Saturn’s. It’s believed the rings were formed when a moon of the planet had gotten too close and was ripped to shreds by the planet’s massive gravitational pull. It is orbited by 27 other moons, though only five have really caught the eyes of researchers. Leavenworth is the largest of them and is strikingly similar to Jupiter’s moon, Europa. Underneath a thick sheet of ice covering the planet’s surface hides a liquid ocean warmed by geothermal activity deep within the moon’s ocean. The other four moons have a large amount of valuable resources that would prove to be useful to the GSC.

    The Methane Giant

    Planet 7: The Ice Giant
    Name: Kinichi
    Codename: Hutchinson, RN-1871
    Diameter: 22,384 miles
Atmospheric Composition: Primarily methane, helium, hydrogen, and carbon dioxide. Oxygen, boron, ammonia, and other trace elements exist as well.
Surface Composition: The core is made of frozen carbon with traces of nitrogen and iron.
Surface Temperature: The planet is bitterly cold with temperatures regularly dipping below -40F, rarely rising above 0F.
Moons: It has 23 moons, though only Four have official names. They are named in order of distance; Reno, Rice, McPherson, and Harvey.
Rings: 9 faint rings orbit around the equator.
Life?: Considering the harsh atmosphere and bitterly cold temperatures, life is very unlikely.
Distance from Isria: 1.384 billion miles
    Orbital Period: 185.9 Earth years
    Rotational Period: 14 hours
Water:? Water only exists in a gaseous and solid state.

The farthest planet from Isria and the second largest. The planet is actually slowly escaping the star’s orbit, slowly moving a couple miles away every couple years. Within a few million years, it’s expected to be flung out of the solar system, though where it’ll go is unclear. It has a total of 23 moons, though only four had caught the eyes of the researchers. Reno in particular was the most interesting, the moon itself appears to be made out of solid carbon, with parts of the planet appearing to be made of diamonds. This makes it extremely valuable in the eyes of researchers. The faint rings that surround the planet orbit perfectly around its equator.
